Chapter 10 : The Castle
As soon as the train stopped, Harry, Neville, Luna and I hurried out. I couldn't wait to see what Hogwarts looked like. There were a lot of people so I wasn't able to see it before we arrived at the carriage. And when I finally did I stopped dead in my tracks, struck with awe.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Harry asked.
"It's wonderful." was all I managed to say.
"Welcome home."

At the gates of the castle we found Hermione and Ron waiting for us. We smiled at them.
"How was the ride?" Hermione asked as we found ourselves behind Harry, Ron, and Neville.
"It was quite great actually." I replied.
"You'll see, you'll feel perfectly home here before you know it."
"I hope so."
"You have got a lot of friends here. You are very loved." Luna said.
"Oh I'm sure you are too." I said. Wrong thing to say, apparently‚ Hermione nudged me.
"Oh, not really. I annoy people, I guess."
"Well, I like you."
"Thank you."

I sat next to Hermione at the feast, I was facing Harry. There was a guy on my left, who'd been watching me. I tried to ignore it but it became a little too much annoying after he did that during the all repartition ceremony.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hello. I'm Dean Thomas. Hoped you would remember me." he replied.
So this was him. The guy I dated during my fifth year.
"Oh."
"We dated two years ago. Well now we are friends." he said. I nodded.
"This is Seamus." He pointed to another guy.
Following the move, others started to "introduce" themselves.
"I'm Parvati."
"I'm Dennis"
"I'm Rachel"
And the list went on.

The feast was very good. I talked with Dean, Seamus and Parvati. When we finished our desserts, a woman started to talk. I didn't who she was. Harry, who seemed to be the only one to think about that, told me "That's Minerva Mcgonagall, the new headmistress of Hogwarts." I thanked him. She introduiced the teachers. There are apparently new members in the staff: Professor Perrin as the new defence against the dark arts teacher, and Professor Hernest as the new Muggle's studies teacher.
"........So let's wish a good year to everyone, the new students, and the old ones. Hogwarts is now stronger and safer than ever. Some have come to re- take their exams, others to redo a year that they missed, that's why the classes will be different from the previous years. But isn't it wonderful that no one here cares? Because we can all see beyond that. We all feel united now. We all now that we can live in peace only if we fight for it together. That's at least one thing that we owe to the war. We are stronger now, because we are one. Now off to bed everyone, it's late. Good evening to you all."
We all got up. Hermione and Ron went to guide the first years to the Gryffindor common room and dormatories, so I was with Harry, Neville and some others. Harry seemed to draw everyone's attention. There were a lot of people whispering his name, some pointing to him, and there were even some that were nearly shouting to their friends things like "THAT'S HIM!! HARRY POTTER!!!!!". I really couldn't understand how he had the strength to stay silent and avoid them. I would have yelled at them that I could hear them already.
We stepped in the common room, following the first years and Ron and Hermione. Parvati grabbed my arm and lead me to our dormatory. I waved goodnight to the guys and followed her.
"Do we sleep in the same dorm? " I asked.
"No idea. We are in the same year now but we are only 5 girls in each dorm. I think they mixed everyone." She explained.
They were lists of name on each door. We found Parvati Patil's name on one. I wasn't with her though.
"Do you want me to help you find yours?" she proposed.
"Oh don't worry. Go and catch up with your dorm mates."
"If you are sure." She smiled and opened the door. "See you tomorrow!"
"See ya!" I said.
I checked a few other doors before I eventually found my name on one. I ckecked the others name on the list.
"Hermione Granger
Ginny Weasley
Betty Harper
Lalia Austin
Melissa Steven"
"I must have heard some of those names during the feast." I thought. Well except Hermione's of course.
I stepped in the room. There were already two girls there. One was around my height, with blonde hair. She had quite short hair and brown eyes. It suited her well. She was cute. The other one had long curly brown hair and brown eyes too behind her glasses. She was beautiful too. She seemed to be just a little bit taller than me.
"Hello!" I said.
"Hey Ginny!" They both said. I looked at them.
"OH!! Of course. Sorry. " The brunette said. "I'm Lalia. We were in the same class during all our years here."
"I'm Melissa." The blonde one said. "Same for me". She smiled.
"Well... Nice to meet you...again?" I said before we chuckled.
"So.. welcome." Said Melissa while smiling at the awkwardness.
"Yeah.. make yourself feel at home." Lalia added, as she smiled encouragingly at me.
We started to make a little conversation. They told me who they friends were. They mentionned one that died during the war, tears in their eyes. I smiled sadly. They told me we didn't use to talk that much the previous years but we were in good terms and laughed together. But of course "That's the opportunity to know each other a bit more!" Melissa exclaimed with enthousiasm.
