CHAPTER EIGHT: KICKING

SIXTEEN WEEKS PREGNANT

All the books said that the baby was now the size of a pomegranate or an orange. Maddie's wardrobe was cut down to two pairs of yoga pants and three oversized t-shirt and she knew it was time to delve into the world of maternity shopping.

She had avoided the subject for nearly a month now because nothing is more frustrating than walking into a store and having zero idea what you are looking for.

Lucky Lila help Maddie with that since she was also pregnant, farther into the pregnancy than Maddie and after shopping with her, she went back home.

Maddie pulled one of the T-shirt she have bought out before putting it on. Each of the pair of jeans went well with the shirts, making the number of outfit possibilities endless.

Maddie changed into the clothes before she rested her hands on her hips as she turned her body in the mirror, looking herself from different angels.

The shirt tugged a bit in the middle but still left room for when she got even bigger.

That was one of the things she hated the most about being pregnant, she was unable to fit clothes she usual can fit.

She of course loved being pregnant knowing that a little human being was growing inside of her. But the hormones, morning sickness and the craving, sensitive toward smells, nausea, were getting back pain, she was hungry all the time, she had to pee all the time, she got exhausted easy and sometimes it was hard to walk. That was the things she didn't like about it.

But the things that beat all of those things was that her body was carrying and growing another human being inside her womb and that was the bundle of joy.

"You look so beautiful" Five's voice sounded from the doorway, startling Maddie so she jump a bit.

"How long have you been standing there?" she gasped, putting her hands back on her hips.

"A minute or two" he chuckled as he walked over to her. As he approached, her gaze landed on his face.

"So Lila took you shopping?" he asked as his hands came to her waist, pulling her closer to him and she nodded in response "Yeah, Since I'm too big for my old clothes" she sighed, looking back in the mirror, her eyes focused on her stomach.

"I'm going to be so fat" she said and he chuckled "That's part of it. You're growing another human being inside you, of course your stomach will grow big" he said "Can't you carry it, just for a few months" she smiled and he laughed.

"I really wish that it was me that have to go through that type of pain instead of you. But that is impossible" he said and she sighed.

"But you look beautiful honey. You don't look fat at all" he smiled "I'm not even half through the pregnancy. Just wait. I will get so big" she said.

"Well, I think that's the point" he chuckled and place a soft kiss on her forehead.

He then looked back at her. She think he could see that she was tired and she was.

She hadn't been sleeping lately. Every since she first felt the baby move, she have felt it all the time. And when the baby had learned that it was able to move it had picked night time to do it.

"You need sleep Love, it's not good for you or the baby" he said "I'll try to sleep but it's not that easy" he smiled "Hey! You try to sleep when there is another human inside you, moving around" she said "I can't. I'm a boy" he said "Lucky bastard" they both chuckled.

Five then slid his hand down her cheek and she smiled before they connected their lips.

His hands held her hips tightly as he began to take off the brand new T-shirt she had just bought.

"Hon" she chuckled, as she tried to push him away but failed as his lips moved to her neck.

"I think these clothes need to be on the floor" he said before stepping forward and pushed her down on my bed.

"Are you sure that this is good idea?" she asked "It's not like I can get you more pregnant" he kissed he neck which cause her to chuckled "True" she said "Beside it's better we do it now before it start getting too big and we have to wait till after" he said "And why is that?" she asked "'Cause if we do it while your bump is big. I might hurt you or the baby" he said "I don't think you can that" she said "Still not gonna risk it. Now let us have a moment" he pressed his lips against hers.

"Hold on to your head little one. It's doing to be a crazy ride" Five said which cause her to giggled.

EIGHTEEN WEEKS PREGNANT (Five months the pregnancy)

The baby was one the same size of a banana. 

Maddie walked into the kitchen to see Five making coffee.

"Good morning Love" he said "Good morning Hon" they gave each other a morning kiss before Maddie walked over to get herself a plate.

Then suddenly Maddie felt something which cause her to get out a small gasp.

Five looked at her, alarmed "Are you okay?" he asked "I felt a kick" she said "What?" he asked.

"I felt the baby kick Honey" she said, her heart raced with happiness. Her baby kicked. There was another. "I felt it again, Honey come over here" she said.

Five rushed over to her and she took his hand before putting it on her expanding bump. They waited for a second before there was another kick which cause Five to smile as he felt it too.

"Oh, my god" he said, he looks so happy and proud. "That's---That's our baby" he said "It sure is Honey" she said, feeling tears formed in her eyes "It sure is" nodded said.

"Wow...did...did it do that before? This is the first time it's kicking now or...?" Five asked now while he continued stroking her baby bump "No, I started to feel some small kicks some hours ago but not as big as this one" she confessed "What? And you didn't tell me?" he was surprised.

She turned her head so she could look at her husband "I was gonna tell you, but you were at work and I didn't want you to keep having your hand on my stomach, that would have being a little bit too much" she explained.

Then suddenly she slightly winced when she felt the the baby kicking again.

"Are you alright?" he asked when he felt me wincing. She nodded and grabbed his hand to place them where the baby was kicking now. Five immediately was quiet again "There. It's kicked again" he exclaimed.

"Hello to you too, little one. We are here and we always will be" Five smiled.

Then she let out a grunt as I felt another kick "Okay, that was big one" she said "Yeah, this child is going to be a runner, there is no doubt about it" he said as he also felt the kick "Yeah, the doctor did tell me that it's a strong and healthy baby" she said before looking at him.

"This kid is gonna be a runner. So we better keep a close eye on the little one" she said "I'm not letting our child out of my sight" he said "When he or she finds out what you use legs to, it is gonna run" she said "Then I better put a leash on it" they both chuckled.

"I can't believe it, our child is growing inside you" he said as he looked at her "In just around 22 weeks, we will be holding our child in our arms" she said "I can't wait" he said "Me either" she said before they shared a kissed as they both had their hands on her baby's bump.

Maddie now snuggled up to Five in bed. He had put one of his hands on her baby bump once again. The baby, that had kept kicking, but now seemed to calm down again.

"It's look like your touch calms it down" she quietly said and he sighed "I'm not sure if I'd be happy about that or not. I'd love to feel its movements more often. I've never experienced something as amazing as this" his voice was almost a whisper and she now examined his facial expressions close while she started to feel their baby again.

Five's eyes widened when he felt the kick again and his lips slightly parted. He was definitely in awe and it made her heart to start beat a bit faster. To see her husband like this made her incredibly happy.

He kissed her cheek. She placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes while she felt Five's hand on her bump once again. He storked it gently, moved his hand from one side to the other, up and down. She knew that he clearly was hoping the baby would kick again.

"I guess our baby is sleeping now, Hon" she said quietly "I think so too" he replied "You'll tell me when it kicks the next time, right?" he asked.

"Of course I will. And when it kicks too hard, you won't be allowed to leave my side because it calms down when it hears your voice and when you put your hands on my stomach" a smile had creep on both her lips while she was speaking.

To feel the baby kick have made it even more real for Five and Maddie that they would be first time parents soon.

It got them both more excited in meeting the child they have conceive together.

The two fell asleep thinking about how their child would look, whose hair and eye color would it have, who would it look like the most and whose personality would it have the most.

19 WEEKS PREGNANT WEEKS.

Sleep was something that Maddie was becoming less and less familiar with as her pregnancy went on. Her growing stomach was now protruding outwards to the point that she was moving around for half the night while trying to find a comfortable spot to lay which in turn kept Five awake since he have come more of a light sleeper.

It was around 3AM and Maddie had finally fell asleep but Five was wide away from her movements while she was asleep next to him and that made him smile as he watched her side rise and fall with her breathing.

He lay back down and scooted closer to his wife. His hand grasped her hip underneath the sheet lightly, being careful not to wake her up.

He ran his hand from her hip bone down and across her belly, laying his warm hand flat on her shirt.

"I love you, always and forever" he whispered softly. The soft sound of his voice brought Maddie out of her slumber, but her eyes remained closed.

She felt the bed dip down closer to her middle and Five's body slid down so that his face was just above her belly button. One of his arm wrapped over her waist and she felt his lips where his hand had previously been.

She couldn't help but smile, but he didn't noticed as he held himself as closer to her growing bump as he could get.

"Hey little one" he spoke lowly, trying his best not to wake his wife as he talked to their unborn child, but little did he know that she was listening and falling more and more in love with him every word that he spoke, even so she thought that she couldn't fall more in love with him.

"I know you're still really small, and I don't think you'll be able to hear me for another few weeks or so, but just in case you can, I want to talk to you if that is okay" he said.

Maddie wanted to reach down and run her hands through his dark brown hair, but she didn't want him to stop him in talking to their little bundle of joy.

"I'm sorry that if I talk to you a lot, and you will probably already be tired of my voice before you even arrived" Maddie smiled.

"I'm sorry if I'm away most of the time but I want you to know that your mom and dad love you so much, always and forever. And I promise you that no matter what I'm going to be there for you. Maybe you don't know it, but you are already so loved, little goofball. Your uncles and aunties love you too and they can't wait to meet you. Your uncle Klaus has already organized a bet to see if you're a boy or a girl, which we will first find out in around eight more weeks, but your mom and I just want you to be healthy. I know you wouldn't remember this when you get here, but I'm going to remind you every day how much I love you and your mom. And how much you both mean to me. If you turn out to be a boy, then when you are old enough I will tell you the story of how your dad won over your mom" he said softly, his lips brushing against Maddie's shirt as he talk to the fetus.

"I love you Five" Maddie whispered as her hand moved some hair from his forehead.

He smiled before he lay a kiss on her belly one last time before he went back to lay down next to her.

Five pulled Maddie closed before putting his hand on her baby bump and he started humming for her bump a bit, so the baby could recognize his voice when it arrives.

He would sometimes hum for her everytime she was gonna sleep and she always loved it and now after finding out that she was pregnant, he started humming everyday for her baby bump, so he was sure that the baby would recognize his voice, even so it was too early, he still did it.

It didn't take long until she fell asleep, but Five couldn't sleep. Not with what just happened. He got giddy every time he thought about his baby that his beloved and amazing wife are carrying.

He couldn't be happier than he is right now. He have gotten everything he always wanted but never thought he could have. He have gotten the love of his life and now their own blood and DNA is going inside of Maddie.

His hands wrapped around her waist and pulled her hips into his as they kissed before falling asleep with his hand on her bump.
