CHAPTER SIX: HANGING OUT WITH KLAUS

TWELVE WEEKS & FOUR DAYS PREGNANT

Maddie was trying to put on some pants, but it was a little hard now when her baby bump have grown bigger.

No wonder her jeans weren't really fitting anymore, there was actually a bump on her stomach right below her belly button. Maddie hadn't noticed in the mirror because of the large t-shirt but it was there. She could feel the difference immediately.

She let out a grunt as she tried to close the pants, but then it crack "DAMN IT!" she said out loud.

Not even a second later Five rushed into the bathroom "Are you okay?" he asked "No, I can't fit anything anymore, I'm gonna get big and ugly" she started crying 'cause of the hormones was raising like crazy.

"Hey" Five put her face in his hands "You are beautiful Love. And remember getting big is part of it. Remember there is now a little human inside you that are growing, so of course your stomach will grow, it's so the baby can evolve, so it can stay safe and warm until it is ready to arrive, to enter this world" he said as he stroke his thumb up and down on her cheek.

'Cause of my hormones Maddie started crying "Hold me" she sob and Five smiled "Of course, I will hold you always and forever and more" he said before he wrapped his arms around her as she pressed her left ear against his chest and she could hear his calm heartbeat which cause her to smile even more.

THIRTEEN WEEKS PREGNANT.

The baby was now the same size as a lemon.

Today Five and Maddie was waiting in the room for another ultrasound.

"God, I'm so nervous" Maddie said "Me too, but remember what I said, calm down. Don't add any stress, any unnecessary stress can add stress to the baby...to much stress" he said "Yeah, you don't say, you said stress like four times, and you've been reading the baby books again" she said and he nodded "Yeah, because I don't want to be clueless, I wanna know everything you're going through right now, like did you know that the baby has little toes and fingers and she can open and shut them" he said excitedly "Yes I know that" she nodded "How are you so sure it's a she? For all you know it could be a boy" she said "I'm just guessing" he said and she chuckled.

They got called in and Maddie got ready for the doctor to do the ultrasound.

The doctor turned on the monitor and it didn't take long until the couple saw their little bundle of joy on the screen.

"You see that's the fingers and toes" the doctor pointed "That's so cute" Maddie said "Yeah, that's really small" he smiled.

"Let's hear the heartbeat" the doctor turned on something and the couple soon heard their child's heartbeat.

"Everything looks normal and fine" the doctor said before they smiled "This is the best sound ever" Maddie said "I know, I wanna listen to it all day" Five said "We can have this recorded for you too, if you like" the doctor said and the couple nodded.

Later that day Five had gone to work again and while he was out Maddie have asked Klaus to come over which he had.

"So do want to do some shopping?" he asked "Well, I don't mind getting out of here" Maddie chuckled.

Then her phone rang and she smiled when she saw Five's picture lit up on the screen which made her grin and Klaus rolled his eyes, a small grin on his face as well.

"You guys are so cute" he said and she smiled as she picked up her phone to answer the call.

"Hey Honey" she said "Hello Love, how is your day?" Five asked "It's good. Klaus and I have decided to go on shopping. How is it going with work?" she asked wanting to know how his day is going as well.

"That sound fun, Love. Work is going well" he said "Well, I know that it will go great for you" she said "Thanks Love. You guys have fun. Text me where you're going, then I can see if I can pick you up" he said "I will. I love you, forever and always" I said "I love you too, always and forever" Five said before ending the call.

Klaus and Maddie arrived at the mall "We better find some bigger clothes to you since you are going to get bigger" Klaus said "Yeah, I'm going to get so fat" they both chuckled.

"I have missed you Klaus" Maddie said "I have missed you too, and I'm so glad that we still hang out" he said "Of course, we're a family, always and forever" Maddie said.

"You know I actually can't wait to meet the little one. I can actually picture a mini Five running around" Klaus said "Me too" she smiled.

"Come on let's buy some baby clothes to the little Hargreeves mini Five" Klaus said "But Five and I don't know the gender yet, and we kinda want to buy it ourself" she said "Come on, let just buy a little bit" Klaus said "Fine, only a little bit" she said and he smiled.

Two hours later, Maddie was back in the house with two bags of stuff that Klaus bought at the children's shop.

And only 30 minutes after Klaus left, the front door open "Honey I'm home!" Five called out and Maddie smiled as she got up to see him enter the living room. "Hey Love" he said and kissed her head.

But then he spotted the two shopping bags on the floor "What is that?" he asked "Klaus and I went a little bit shopping for the baby" she said and he smiled.

"Klaus also told me that my bump has grown bigger, so now you can actually see it a bit even when I'm wearing clothes" she smiled.

"What, you can?" he then move his hands on her shirt. He lifted it up and turned her to the side and bend down to study her growing middle.

Maddie laughed and tangled her fingers in his dark brown hair while he gasped in excitement "Oh my god, that's our baby. I still can't believe it" he said before pulling her into a hug but this time, his lips landed on her.

Later that night Five and Maddie kept listening to the newest recording of their baby's heartbeat.

"I'm so obsessed" he said "Me too" she smiled before wiping away a happy tear "This is so strange...why do I keep crying?" she asked and he chuckled.

"I mean you're a mom...moms are supposed to cry at everything their kids do" he said "I'm a mom" she said "Yeah. More like a mommy" he looked at her "And I'm a daddy by the way, our children are never allow to call us mom and dad...We're mommy and daddy" he chuckled "Oh, yes I agree" she nodded "But I think as the child gets older, he or she will probably called us dad and mom, beside I can't wait to see when the child hit its teen years" she said before they started laughing.

He touched her belly and kissed it as he did every day.

Maddie had grown accustomed to calling her baby it, because there was still a few weeks before they could get an answer on if she was carrying a boy or a girl.

She actually didn't care if it was a girl or a boy, as long as it's healthy. But it would be fun to first have a boy. A mini Five running around after his dad. 

But Maddie actually wouldn't mind that it was a girl, since she have dreamt of the idea of having a little girl every since she was one herself.

Every since she found out she was pregnant, Maddie was been having dream about her and Five's child running around, in some dreams the baby is a boy and in some it is a girl and sometimes, they have twins. But Maddie was actually hoping for just one this time and then after getting the first one, Five and her was going to try again since they both wanted more than one kid.

Maddie wouldn't lie, she had thought about the possibility of both genders in the time since she found out she was pregnant and she had even began thinking about names. Five and her had not had that conversation about names for their child. They were behind so many things, the nursery is not even close to finished since Five was working so much.

He said that he wanted to work as much as he could so he could stay home for some time after the little one arrives. He wanted to take half of the maternity leave.

Maddie was sitting in the bed with her phone, looking at baby names and she smiled when she found a perfect name made her feel that fluttering feeling in her stomach, like that could be the name of the baby she was carrying.

"Hey Love, I didn't mean to wake up, sorry" Five smiled as the door to the bathroom swung open.

"It's okay, Hon. I want to talk to you about baby names" she said "Okay, we can do that. Do you have any ideas?" he asked.

"I might have a few" she chuckled "But I think we should look in a book about names together" she said "And we will but right now---" "I know you are busy with your work and it's okay. I get it, you want to work as much as you can so you can be at home all the time when our kid arrived" she said "And you are okay with that?" he asked "I am" she nodded and he smiled.

"I love you two, always and forever" he place a kiss on her lips and then on her stomach "We love you too, always and forever" she said and he then turned before leaving.
