CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE: FIND MY WAY BACK

---

Five who was wearing a green shirt and holding a watering can entered the greenhouse while Lila was picking strawberries.

He walked over before watering some plants "You look like you are use to this" Lila said "May I remind you that I also am a partner and a parent" he said "I thought Maddie did all of that stuff" she said "No. I also do it, I actually enjoy it, making me feel peaceful" he said before he continue watering the plants.

Then Lila threw a strawberry at him, hitting him on the left shoulder.

He just ignored it as he kept watering the plants but then Lila threw another strawberry at him before throwing another one.

"You know if you keep this up, we're are gonna run out and of strawberries. And I would like to keep some so I can take them back home to Noa and Sam who love strawberries. So if you keep throwing them at me, we're run out and not have any strawberries when the snow comes" he looked at her.

"So we'll eat snow" she joke as she approached him but then suddenly she trip and almost fell "Ah"

"Oh" Five caught her before she could fall and he help her back on her feet causing their faces to be inches from each other.

Then Lila started leaning closer to him and before he could pull away he suddenly felt Lila's lips on his.

But Five immediately pulled away, immediately rejected her.

"What are you doing?" he asked with a little angry voice.

"I thought---" "No" he shook his head as he took a step away from her, rejecting her.

"So you---" "No" he took another step away from her.

"I love Maddie, she is the only woman of my dream, the queen of my heart. And I would never cheat on her" he said "Well, you didn't pull away" she said "Yeah I did" he said "Oh my God, this is so embarrassing" Lila put her hands to her forehead.

"I'm married" Five said "So am I, or technically, Diego and I are kinda on a break" she said before taking a deep breath.

"Then why you made a move on me?" he asked.

"Okay" she turned to him "That is not what I did" she said "Then what? You know I'm married" he said "But are you happy?" she asked "I actually am, very. And even if I wasn't married and Maddie wasn't around, I would never do it towards Diego. That is not fair. And even so you and Diego wasn't together, I would never be interested in you. You're not my type. Beside I love Maddie more than anything, she is the only woman for me" he said.

"Just forget about it" she said "I will" he nodded and she scoff as she turned around so her back was facing Five "I gotta admit that we have grow closer in those six years, and that have gotten me to that I love and care about you Lila, but not like that" he said "Then what?" she asked "As a sister" he said.

"But we shared a moment, you caught me!" she out a little loud "Because I was being nice" he said and she scoff "Why would you even kiss me, that is so wrong, you had no reason to do that" he said "I was caught in the moment okay, and I just thought that maybe this could help me with surviving" she said and he scoff "So you would have used me just for surviving" he scoff again "You would have being dead here without me" he shook his head lightly before looking back at her "You know, just before I felt sorry for you, but now, nothing. You can't just use other people like that, but maybe you still have that from The Handler" he said "Hey! Don't you compare me to her" she pointed her finger at him.

"You know just because you have trouble in your marriage doesn't mean that you have to create trouble in others" he said, angry at her for kissing him.

He then turned around before leaving. As he walked towards where he was asleep, he ran his fingers through his hair.

"I'm sorry Maddie. What was I thinking? Why didn't I pull away before her lips could touch?" he mumbled to himself.

He felt stupid over what just happen, not his fight with Lila but over her kissing him. He should have pulled away before her lips could touch his. He felt like he cheated on Maddie.

He don't know if he should tell his wife or not. Maybe it would be best to tell her, but he scared in losing her, but not telling her would have a higher chance for him to lose her and for her to get hurt.

Five walked into a room before he started punching the wall with his fist, punishing himself for what he did.

"STUPID, IDIOT. STUPID, IDIOT!" he kept shouting while he repeatedly punch his knuckles into the wall causing blood to appear on the wall and on his knuckles.

Five was asleep and he was dreaming about the memories he have shared with Maddie and the kids.

I'll come back for you.

I give anything to be with you, it's so damn true.

He dreamt about him and Maddie together with Noa and Sam when they took their first steps. He dream of him helping his son with his homework.

Flashback start...

It was Halloween and Five was standing in the living room as he was waiting for his son to changed into his costume.

"Daddy don't look at me" Noa said "I'm not looking. Are you almost ready?" Five asked "Yes" Noa said "Do you need and help?" Five asked "No" Noa said "Okay" Five said.

Noa then came out wearing a small black suit "Now you can look, daddy" Five turned to look at his son that was dress in a small black suit.

"That is definitely not Spider-man" Five said as he looked at his son. "He's not a real superhero" Noa said "He's not?" Five asked and Noa shook his head.

"Okay, I give up. Who are you supposed to be?" Five asked "I'm you, Daddy" Noa said and Five smiled before he walked over to his son and crouched down "Come here, buddy" he said as he hugged him before he lifted him up.

"Let's go get some candy, my little G-man" Five said.

Maddie smiled as she enter the living room "Five and Five Jr. Mini Five. Lila father, like son" she smiled "We're going to get candy" Noa said "Great I will get Sam and we will go" Maddie said before turning around and left to get Sam.

Five and Noa glanced at the cookies that was standing by the dinner table before they glanced at each other "I want cookies" Noa said "These are for later" Five said "Please daddy" Noa made his begging face which caused Five to get out a sigh.

"I'm not telling mommy, if you aren't" he said and Noa smiled as Five grab two cookies before giving one to Noa.

While Noa was watching TV in the living room, Sam was sitting on the floor with her dad.

"Dad. What is a wedding?" Sam asked "A wedding is when you make the person you love and you official that you wanna spend the rest of your lives together. It's like a ceremony or a celebration, like two people celebrate their love" Five said.

"Why do people get married?" she asked "Agreeing to get married shows a certain degree of commitment to one another that isn't equaled by any other informal arrangement. Marriage proves commitment to your partner forever, barring anything out of the ordinary, which can make both partners feel more at ease and secure in the relationship" he answered and she raise a brow as she looked confused at her dad.

"To show the world how much they love each other and to proof to each other that they want to spend the rest of their lives together" he said "Can you still be with someone forever even so you don't get married?" she asked "Of course, there are some couples that don't choose to get married but still want to spend the rest of their lives together" Five said.

"Can we get married?" Sam asked "NAh" Five shook his head "Why not?" she "I'm already married to your mom" he replied "Because she's you're true love--" "Yes" he nodded his head "Because she's my true love" he said.

"What does true love mean?" she asked "True love it is the art of seeing someone's flaws and thinking they are prefect anyway. Love doesn't blind you to imperfections, it lets you see them clearly and embrance them. It's knowing every crack in their armor, evrey fault in their character, and still thinking they are the most beautiful and most extraordinary person you've ever know, because to you, they are everything. Your mom is my true love, and I know I'm hers" Five smiled.

"Isn't nice having a true love?" she asked "It's very nice having a true love" he nodded "What's so nice about it?" she "Well they're always there for you when you need them" he said before smiling.

"Your mom is the love of my life" he said "Eww, we don't want to hear about love" Noa said "Your mom means everything to me, I can still remember that day we shared our first kiss and that moment I knew that I loved her" Five "EWW" Noa and Sam said.

Then Maddie entered the living room "All three of you stop talking, food is ready" she said "Come on Buttercup, let's have some food" Five lifted Sam up in his arms while Noa got up and the four walked over to the dinner table before eating.

(A/N: I made those flashback because I didn't think that we have gotten enough scene with Five and his kids, so I wrote those scenes because I wanted to show you what kind of father he is. And I think Five is a good dad. Hope you like the scenes with Five and his kids. I think they are cute)

"Promise me that you will come back to me, to the kids" she said and he put her face in his hands "I promise you that I will come back to you, back to the kids" he said "I know you will. 'Cause we always seems to find our way back to each other" she said "And I promise you that no matter what, I will come back to the kids, to you. I promise you that. I will find my way back to the kids, to you" he said and she smiled before kissing him.

And you need to know,

Flashback ends...

Five opened his eyes before sitting up. He then grab his jacket, bag and flashlight before he decided to go down into the subway.

He walked down the stairs as he shining the light around before looking up and he saw a wire with some scrap metal "Okay" he lowered his flashlight before he stretched his arms up to grab the wire.

He pulled the wire a little bit which cause sparks to fly and that made him drop his flashlight as he stumble back.

"Shit" he said as the flashlight landed down by the train tracks "All right" he jump down to grab it.

But then he spotted something that was laying on a small metal device right below the subway "What the hell?" he grab his flashlight before shining on it to see that it was a notebook.

He grab it before he got down on one knee, put the notebook on the ground used his free hand to opened it while he was using his other hand to shin on the notebook with the flashlight so he could see better and he saw that someone has writing in it.

"This is my handwriting" he said as he flipped through pages.

When he came to a certain page, he lifted up the notebook and his eyes widened when he realized what the text was saying "Holy shit. This is..." he flipped to the next page to see the drawing of the train and subway, plus the map while stuff was also writing on the two pages.

"This is it. This is...our way home" he said before smiling "I'm coming home Love. I'm coming home to you. Noah and Sam, daddy is coming home to you too" he closed the book before getting up and he quickly rush back to the greenhouse.

Maddie, Allison and Claire arrived at the grave before they quickly started digging for Klaus.

"This is taken too long" Maddie threw the shovel before she used her powers and lifted some of the dirt up.

"I can see him" Allison said and Maddie threw some of the dirt away before rushing over to her and Claire, and she smiled when she saw Klaus looking up at them.

"Maddie, sis?" Klaus smiled "Yeah" Maddie nodded as the three was reaching their hand down the grave for Klaus to take it "Allison? Maddie, is that you?" he asked "Yeah! Yeah!" they both said as they help their brother up from the grave.

"Claire. Claire Bear" Klaus looked at his niece Claire with a smile before he started sobbing in relived.

"Hi. Hi. Hi" Maddie smiled before hugging her brother. "You came back for me!" Klaus said tearfully "Of course, we're a family, and a family is always and forever" Maddie smiled "Of course we did! Of course we did!" Allison smiled "How did you find me?" he asked as the three hugged him.

"We heard this barking" Maddie said "Thank God!" Klaus sob "I'm so glad you are alright" Maddie smiled.

"Let's..." Klaus pulled away "Get the hell out of here" he said "Yeah" Maddie and Allison nodded "Shall we?" he asked and the four started walking toward the car.

"Thank you, Thunderbolt" Klaus mumbled.

"I forgive you Allison" Maddie said and Allison looked at her "I'm sorry for being so stubborn, you reset the universe and saved us all, if you haven't I don't think any of us would be alive, I know I wouldn't. My kids wouldn't be alive, so thank you for saving us. I'm sorry for not forgiving you, sorry for not seeing it, I do now" Maddie said "It's okay, thank you" Allison said.

"LILA!" Five called out as he rushed over to his things "What?" Lila entered the room "I found us a way home, pack your bag, we're leaving" he said "Really?" she asked and he nodded "Here" he threw her the book and she caught it before opening it "That is our way home, so pack your things 'cause we are going home" he said before he looked at her "Or if you want you can stay here, but I'm going home, back to my wife, the love of my life, my kids, my family" he turned back before he pack his stuff.

"I'm coming Maddie, I'm coming back to you, I promise I would find my way back, and I did it" Five smiled.

I'll come back for you

And while I'm away
My heart will stay right here with you
And I just can't wait,

He was finally going home, to his wife, his kids. His home, his family.

I'll be back with you

Five couldn't wait a single second more once he stepped foot on that train station. He knew that they were going home. That his wife Maddie was there, waiting for him. Or maybe he was the one truly waiting for her, to finally touch her, hear her, kiss her, feel her in his arms again, make that aching pain in his heart go away by drowing in her scent.

A/N: Okay, I know you guys might hate me now, and before you say that Five cheated on Maddie, let me tell you something.

I have being asking someone about that moment in this chapter between Lila and Five. I ask if a person kiss another person that is with someone else, is it cheating and she said if the other person didn't kiss the person back but instead pull away immediately rejecting that person, then that person didn't cheat. So I explain the situation and she said no, Five wouldn't be cheating if he didn't kissed her back which he didn't.

So here Lila kissed Five and he didn't kissed her instead he immediately pulled away, rejecting her, therefore Five didn't cheat on Maddie, he was the victime here. So he also showed his loyalty to his wife Maddie.

So I hope you guys are happy that nothing else happen between them.

Hope that you like that I change it so there would be no romance between those two.

Also I hate their relationship

Also Five show loyalty, not just towards his wife but also towards his brother. And I like that, 'cause that is the real Five.

The Five we all know would never do that towards Diego. Towards his own brother.

I have noticed that many people started hating Five for what happened in season four ep five. But don't only hate Five. Yeah, having a relationship with Lila is so not like him. But I'm not angry at him, hating or pointing fingers at him. The person who I hate is actually Lila. Like no one is talking about the fact that Lila cheated on her husband who she had 3 kids with.

I think we all know that she just didn't wanna feel lovely. I think it was pretty obvious that Five had actually fallen in love with Lila because in any other situation he would never make a bracelet for someone himself. I also think it was pretty obvious that Lila wasn't in love with him, she just saw the opportunity and took it because she didn't wanna feel lonely. She wanted someone to love her.

She knew that Five had been alone for more than half his life and had never experienced any kind of romantic love with a real human being, so Five falling for her was the perfect opportunity for her to not feel lonely. And we can all see perfectly well that Lila wasn't in love with Five by the end of it, because when they came back to everyone, Five still tried to sort of talk to her and save it, but she didn't because she didn't love him, and she acted like their relationship didn't happen, and I feel like she just manipulated him to not feel lonely. Because I noticed the hurt in Five's eyes when she said to Diego 'I never meant to hurt you' I could see how heartbroken Five was. He was actually in love. Lila knew he never kissed anyone or anything like that and knew she could use it because she didn't wanna feel lonely. So I feel like Lila uses Five only for survival. Therefore I hate her the most.

But yeah I also agree that the Five we know would never do it, but I'm most angry at Lila and not Five, that is my opinion. But yeah, I'm disappointed and it ruins both the characters and the rest of the show. And I would rather have Five have a new love interest and then die to save that person than him with Lila.

Therefore I hate Lila the most because she used Five like that. Because she wasn't in love with Five, she just used him and their relationship for survival. Feel like she manipulated him, just so she wouldn't feel lonely and to survive.

But I still hate what happen in that moment and them having a relationship is a big no, hate it, and will never understand why they did it, no reason for that. And like I said I'm disappointed in it, and it ruined the rest of the show and the characters.

Also the whole plot line with them was irrelevant and weird. And just wastes two seasons it took for Diego and Lila to finally be together

I love Lila and Five together, but not as a couple. I love their frenemies. Like they went from hating and want to kill each other to be best friends. And I have believe that those years they were stuck, they just grow closer, no romance, like they saw each other as siblings and cared for each other more, that I have hope happen, not them getting in a relationship. Like in those years they were stuck, Lila would tell Five that she think her marriage is over, but then he would ressure her how much Diego really love her and tells her not to let him go, because finding love like that is rare and she have everything, house, a loving partner and kids so she shall not throw that away, she shall enjoy for as long as she can, because what she have is a dream for many. Then Lila would thank Five, and he'd finally confess that he sees her as a sister/family and she would confess she sees him as a brother/family. I would have loved if that happen instead.

I hate Lila. Using a person like that that is in love with you and show you they love you, but you just using that person, is not okay, it's evil.

One of the thing Steve said about Five's and Lila's romance 'I felt that Five had to have a love story. I mean, he's a 64-year-old man in the body of an 18-year-old. So we thought he could have a love story. And I thought, 'How can he have a love story? He's not the kind of guy who's going to date.' I thought Five needed to be with someone, whether it be a boy or girl. We thought we had an opportunity with Lila. And we tried it. I don't know how the fans are going to take it."Blackman explained that the decision to give Five a love story resulted in the subway storyline, allowing Five and Lila's relationship to evolve over eight years.Most of the fans is actually against Five's and Lila's romance. And hate it.One said "The Five and Lila storyline is extremely pathetic cause neither character would do that to Diego" One said that it actually ruined Five's character and it ruined the showHere is what Aidan and Ritu said Aidan "I think Five doesn't know who he is or how he relates to things. If he really digs down, he is in a dark place and so long as his family's ok, then that's the only thing on his list to check off. It makes this season really beautiful because his character arc goes from not having a purpose to the relationship with Lila giving him a purpose. It's really a beautiful thing to see a character go through. And I think it's really relatable as just a universal human struggle. That was definitely the emotional center for the season."Ritu "They've spent seven years together? Away from life, just them two? I'm sorry, but you're going to feel incredibly connected with someone, no matter what. I feel like, of course there's love there."But I don't think they mean love like that. I think they meant that they got more closer, and that they began to love and each other about each other like family. Like brother and sister. So both Aidan and Ritu was actually against it.

I also found out that the writers have being planning it since Lila came into the show, they just waited until Aidan was over 18. And that is just weird.Ritu thought they were joking, David tried to talk them of it, and Aidan think it was weird. Also imagine being in Ritu's or Aidan's shoes (Of course many girls want to be in Ritu's shoes). Aidan have to 'kiss' someone that is 15 years older than him, and Ritu has to kiss 'Someone' who is 15 years younger (A kid in her eyes) she kinda watch grow up since he was 16 when they started shooting season 2. So therefore I think both actors they didn't like it and think it was weird.

And you can be alone with someone for seven years without anything romance happen.

I rather have Five found someone else in season four and then later losing that person because he is dying together with his family to save his lover and the world. And then maybe say this to that person in the end "Saving the world and the person I love the most at the same time, it's good for me"

The only good thing about Five's and Lila's romance is that we get to see Five's loving side. How he is and how he look like when he is in love. How he look at and act towards the person he is in love with. And we get to hear him say the word "Love" Also Lila didn't deserve Five, he was too good for her. She did him dirty. Kinda use him. I think that Five actually fell in love with Lila in those seven years but she just thought of it as a kinda of 'Survival" So she actually just use Five, saw their relationship as nothing more than survival. Mean which their relationship meant nothing to her but it meant a lot to Five 'cause she was the only real human being he actually fell in love with.So I love Lila and Five together, but NOT as a couple

I think the actors and at least 90% of the fans were against it. I keep thinking what was the writers thinking, especially since they have being planned it since season 2, I mean if they have planned since season 2 that Lila and Five would have some romance going on, why would she then have a relationship with Diego just to get in a relationship with Five later, it's doesn't make sense.

Also heard that the acotors didn't like the ending either, which I understand I wasn't fan of the ending either. It was sad ending but I could come up with other ending that made more sense.

It was like the ending they just gave up, like they just wanted to finish it. It was like they just pull something up from a hat, threw it up in the air and let an arrow decide. Yeah, the ending was bittersweet, cried a little, but they could have ended it so many others ways without having them all die and it would still make sense, like maybe Viktor would absorb all the Marigold from the others and then from Ben, ending with him sacrifice himself to save his family and the world and we see him getting reunited with Sissy, then it would also be a bittersweet. Or they would all defeat the creature together, and then it ends with the family saying goodbye to each other in the subway and then like each of them goes to a different timeline where they are with their love ones. Like Klaus goes back to be with Dave, Viktor goes back to be with Sissy, Lila, Diego and Allison stays in the same timeline because of their kids, Luther goes to a timeline where Sloane is and makes her fall in love with him again, them getting a happy ending each and Five creates the Commission to keep an eye on his family and make sure nothing goes wrong and maybe meet a new love interest. That would be a perfect ending.

Well, that is my opinion, if you don't agree you are more than welcome to say it. I don't judge, we all have the right to say our opinion without being judge or harassed. It's a free world and everyone have the right to say what is on their mind.

Hope you also like that I made Maddie finally forgive Allison and apologize to her.
