CHAPTER FIFTEEN: FRIST TIME PARENTS

Maddie had never know exhaustion until after giving birth. After making all the introductions to the family and some tears over the new addition. Maddie passed out and Five was left alone with Noa in the hospital bassinet. He rejoiced in the time he got to spend with him, getting to know him, and taking any help from the nurses he could get on how to comfort his son and take good care of him.

Noa had a finger wrapped around one of Five's fingers, with a tight grib.

Maddie woke up late in the night to find Five in the rocking chair in the corner, his shirt off and hanging on the arm of the chair, and Noa laying on his chest. His eyes were low, watching his little boy breathe as he slept in his chest.

Maddie couldn't contain her smile as she watched Five's hand rub across Noa's back softly and come to rest on his dark hair.

"He looks like you" Maddie whispered making Five look up with his red, but happy eyes.

Five haven't slept since Maddie went in labor and he look so tired but she was still more exhausted than he was.

"He looks like you too" he responded, kissing his head softly and preparing to stand up and bring him to her so she could feed him.

Noa woke up when Five stood up and he started whimper in his arms. Five shushed him softly but Maddie knew that Noa was hungry.

When Five passed Noa to his wife the little boy whimpering stopped almost the second he came into contact with his mom's skin.

Five smiled, watching as Noa latched onto her breast on the first try and she looked like the most natural mother in the world.

The sight of Maddie holding Noa made Five smiled even more, so happy that he had them both. He just smiled as he stared at the two people he was in love with and the two people that is most important to him and the two he love the most and always will love. He will do anything to protect them. He will not let anyone hurt them, he will die before he let anything happen to them, he would give his life for them, without thinking twice.

So Five was more close to his wife newborn son, he crawled up in the bed so he was lying next to Maddie.

He put his left hand around Maddie's shoulders before he wrapped his other hand around his son and his wife "I love you two, always and forever" he said "We love you too, always and forever" Maddie said before her and Five kissed.

"Oh sorry" a voice suddenly said and the couple pulled away before looking towards the door to see a nurse standing in the door.

She looked a bit nervous "I thought you were asleep" she said "Yeah, I'm a little exhausted" Maddie said "Of course you are" the nurse said as she walked over to the table picking up some papers before looking through them.

"Is everything okay?" Five asked "What?" the nurse asked as she turned around to face the couple "Is everything okay?" Five asked again "Yeah, everything is fine. Just checking the result of your son" the nurse said.

"You're new" Five said as he narrowed his eyes bit at the nurse "What do you mean?" she asked "Haven't seen you before, you weren't in here when he arrived" Five said "Yeah, I'm new, the midwife from before had to leave so she sent me" the nurse said and Five nodded but was still a little suspiciously since he think it was weird that the midwife from before haven't told them anything about sending a new.

"I will be back later" the nurse said before leaving. Five's eyes followed the nurse until she was out of sight.

"Is there something wrong, Honey?" Maddie asked "Yeah, it's weird that our midwife from before didn't say anything about sending a new one" he said.

"She probably didn't had time" Maddie said "I still think it's weird" Five said "Honey" Maddie said and Five turned his head to look at her "You need to calm down, everything is fine, okay?" she said and he nodded "Yeah, maybe I'm just being paranoid" he said "You had just become a dad so maybe your instincts to protect has raised from 100 to 200 now" she said and he let out a chuckled.

"Well, I'm going to protect the both of you with my life" he said "Remember that I can also fight and I still have my powers" she said "Yeah, but you're exhausted right now. I mean you just gave birth, and you know what happens if you use your powers while you are injured or exhausted. I almost lost you last time you used your powers while you were injured and exhausted" he said "I know" she nodded.

"And I'm the trained killer here" he said and she chuckled "My psycho" she said and he smiled, laying a kiss on her forehead before laying one of their son's forehead who was asleep.

The nurse was walking down the hospital's hallways with the file before she walked into an empty office where a man was waiting.

"Here is the result on the baby" she said as she handed the man the papers who looked through them "The husband is suspicious" the nurse said "How?" the man asked as he was still looking at the result "He think it was weird the other midwife sent me without telling them and I could feel that when I walk out of the room, he was staring at me" she said.

"Ignored it" the man said and the nurse nodded.

"Well, everything seems normal here" the man said as he looked back up from the paper "But I can't see the result like this. I need more to examine" he said "What are you taking about?" she asked "I need the baby" he said "What?" the nurse asked "You heard me" he said "I can't just take a newborn from its parents, beside I don't think the dad would allow me" she said "Then just give me a little drop of the baby's blood" he said "How do I explain that?" she asked "Tell them that is to examine better" he said "Okay" the nurse said

While Maddie was asleep in the hospital bed, Five was awake. He was standing over by the window, holding Noa in his arms as he was humming for him just like he used to do for Maddie.

"Yeah, you like that" Five whispered as Noa said a small sound "Yeah, your mom loves it too" he said and Noa opened his eyes to look at his dad "You really have my eyes" Five said with a smile as he looked at his son's green eyes.

With his left hand, Noa grabbed his dad's thumb, holding it tight which cause Five to smile. He couldn't believe that he was able to made something so beautiful, so perfect. 99% had to be from Maddie.

He could feel how tight Noa was holding his thumb "You have a tight grip" Five said with a smile "If you are scared that I will go away. Then don't worry little one, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. Daddy is always gonna be here and so is mommy" Five whispered.

Then the nurse enters "Hey" she said "Shh, my wife is asleep" Five whispered and the nurse looked at Maddie who was asleep.

"Okay, I just need the little one" the nurse "How come? The doctors told us that everything is fine and we can leave in a few hours" Five said "Yeah, but the doctor told me that I shall take some blood for the blood test" the nurse said and Five narrowed his eyes while he lifted his son more up his arm, pressing his head against his chest. 

"It's for an examine" the nurse said "What kind?" Five asked "I don't know. But let me see the baby" the nurse reached out her hand for Noa, but Five took a step back while he turned a bit, so Noa was out of reach for the nurse.

"Yeah, you are not touching my son" he said with a calm but threating voice.

Noa then started crying a bit "Sir. I'm just doing my job" the nurse said "Bring the doctor in here and he can tell me" Five said, he was really protected right now "Sir please" the nurse said.

"What is going on?" Maddie opened her eyes "Mrs. Please tell your husband to let me see your son" the nurse said "What is happening?" Maddie asked "She tell me that she wants to run a blood test on Noa, even so the doctor told us that everything is fine" Five said as he patted his hand gently on the back of Noa's head to try to make him stop crying "It's okay. It's okay" he whispered gently.

Maddie saw a man who cared for his son. A man who wouldn't hesitate to kill in a heartbeat, just to make sure his child was safe. Not because he was a dangerous killer and assassin, but because he was a father. A parent.

"Why do you need to run a blood test?" Maddie asked "The doctor told me it to examine to see if there is anything they miss" the nurse said and Maddie looked at her husband.

"Honey, it's okay" she said "Okay, but you can take a small drop of his blood in here where I can watch" Five said and the nurse nodded.

Five then gave Noa to the nurse and she took a small drop of blood before leaving again.

"I don't trust her" Five said as Noa was put in a small bed next to the hospital bed where Maddie was laying "Honey, there is nothing to fear, she is probably new and is just doing her job" Maddie said "There is just something I don't like" Five said as he sat down next to Maddie "I don't know what it is. It's my body telling me that something is wrong" he said.

"Listen, everything is okay. We have our bodyguards standing right outside the door and in a few hours we can go home. Just relax" she said "It's funny, months ago, it was you who was freaking out about that Reginald would do something to us and if something was going to happen and I was the calm now. How can it suddenly changed now?" he asked "I don't know" she said.

"But no matter what, I'm going to protect you and Noa with my life" he said and you smiled "I love you, always and forever" she said "I love you too, always and forever" he said before the two kissed.

The nurse walked back to the office "Here" she said as she handed the needle with some of Noa's blood to the man "Good" he said "But the husband has become more suspicious" the nurse said "It will wear off. I have what I need. I will be leaving now. And I didn't want a word to come out that I was here" he said "Of course not, Mister Thibedeau" the nurse said.

Both Maddie and Noa were asleep but Five was still wide awake. He hasn't sleep for two days, his face looks tired but he wasn't going to sleep until him, his wife and their son was home safe again.

Five looked at Maddie who was asleep. He then looked at Noa who was also sleep which caused him to smile.

He then got up before he walked out of the room where two bodyguards were standing, one of each side of the door.

"Stay here, I will be right back" Five said and the guards nodded as Five walked away from them.

Five walked over to get some coffee for him to stay awake.

He grabbed the coffee and just as he turned around, he saw out of the corner of his eyes a man that look a lot like that guy that have stalk Maddie walking towards the hospital room where Maddie and Noa were in which cause Five to turn his head but he didn't reach to get a better look as the man walked around a corner.

"No, it can't be him" Five said before he started walking the same way.

He came back to the door that led to the room and the two guards nodded to Five as he walked past them into the room.

Five smiled as he saw his son and wife still asleep.

"It must be my mind playing tricks with me" Five said as he took a sip of his coffee while he walked over to look out the window.

But then suddenly his eyes spotted Reginald.

"What the...?" Five asked as he narrowed his eyes to see that it was his evil adopted father walking out of the hospital before getting into a black car that drove away.

Then Five spotted the man walking out of the hospital "Shit" Five whispered as his eyes widened.

Why was Reginald and that man here?

Did he know that Five and Maddie was here?

What is his plan?

Was he here to spy on them?

Was he here to try and take Noa from them?

So many questions ran through Five's head, but one thing was for sure and that was he was not going to let anything or anyone take Maddie and Noa away from him or would he left anyone hurt them, he will keep them safe and protect them, even it means giving his own life so they could live.

Five turned his head to look at Maddie, he didn't think it was a good idea in saying that he saw Reginald and that man that have stalk her. He knew that she would freak out and not now, not after it took him months for her to calm down over being worried that someone would hurt them.

He remembers how she was a few months ago. After they found out she was pregnant. Maddie would wake up with nightmares over that Reginald or someone bad would find them and take their child away from them. It took months for Five to calm her down. She was stressing herself out and it also hurt both her and the baby. She didn't eat much and didn't sleep.

One day when she was seven months pregnant, she fainted, lucky one of their cleaning ladies were in the house and she brought Maddie to the hospital. The doctors told her that Maddie needed to stay in bed for a few weeks.

It was finally time for the little family to leave the hospital and Five was packing their bags "Are you sure that I shouldn't help?" Maddie asked as she was lying in bed after have changed clothes "It's fine Love, let me handle it" Five said as he put the last things in the suitcase before closing it.

"Mr. Five and Mrs. Maddie" a voice said and the two looked towards the door to see their butler Alfred "The car is ready" he said "Thanks Alfred" Maddie and Five said before Five lifted up the suitcase.

"Let me take that" Alfred said "Thanks" Five said as he handed the suitcase to Alfred while Maddie got up before walking over and picking Noa up "Come on Sweetheart, we're going home" she said.

"Let's go" Five said before he put his arm around his wife's shoulders who was holding Noa in her arms as the two walked out.

The two bodyguards by the door started walking behind them as two other bodyguard was walking in front of them, guiding them out.

Ever since Five and Maddie invested the money Freddy gave them, they have become quit rich. They bought a bar and a club who quickly became famous and they made a lot of money on that.

Then Maddie's singing career started going up and she became a famous singer. Now they are one of the ricing people in the world.

And after Maddie had many nervous breakdowns in, she was scared that Reginald or someone else would hurt them, Five brought a security house and double their security, trying to calm down his wife and it had become better now.

Alfred was their driver and butler, he was very kind and sweet, he reminds Maddie and Five a lot of Pogo.

Maddie woke up in the middle of the night to see Five was out of bed. She heard voices over the baby monitor but she didn't understand what it was saying.

She got up before she left the bedroom and walked into the nursery, seeing Five sitting in the rocking chair with his son in his arms and a bottle of my breast milk in the baby's mouth.

Five was humming softly for their son 

Noa then wrapped one of his finger around one of Five's fingers. "You still like that, huh?  Then I'm going to keep humming for you" Five smiled as Noa's eyes fluttered and he suckled on the bottle sweetly.

Maddie's heart swelled at the sight. She leaned against the door frame, listening and watching the father-son relationship build in front of her.

"You're perfect, Noa" Five whispered as one of his fingers grazed Noa's brown hair across his little forehead before kissing his tiny fingers. He didn't noticed his wife in the doorway yet, but she didn't want to break up this sweet moment.

Five then got up before he slowly and gently put Noa in the crib again.

Maddie walked over to stand next to him and they both looked down at their little baby boy sleeping in his crib "Is he breathing?" Five asked "You gotta relax, Honey. He's breathing" she put her hand on her husband's back "Okay" she said "Maybe we should wake him up, just to be sure" he said and she chuckled.

"Honey, he will be fine. Let him sleep, beside you never wake up a sleeping baby" she said.

"He is so beautiful. I want him to stay like this forever. Why can't he just stay like that forever?" Five chuckled before kissing her cheek.

Maddie woke up again to see that Five was not laying next to her. So she got up before walking into the nursery. She slowed opened the door and her eyes widened when she saw Five laying on an air mattress right next to Noa's crib. It was like Five wasa scared that something would happen to their son, so he was sleeping in the nursery to make sure that nobody would take him.
