CHAPTER ONE: BEGINNING OF A NEW LIFE

A few days after Reginald reset the universe.

"I think this place is good" Five opened a door to a motel room before him and Maddie entered.

"Well, it's not the nieces place I have stayed at but it better than sleeping in the car" Maddie looked around "Yeah, finally we can get some more space" Five walked farther into the room as he looked around.

"I think that this need to be our place for now Love" he turned to his wife "Just until we have earn some money" he said "Yeah, it might not be bad to get a job" she said "No" he shook his head "I think we can earn some money with me singing at clubs. It is a start" she said and he nodded "Good idea. And then with those money Freddy gave us, we can invest them" Five said with a nod "I will get our bags" he left the room.

When he was out of sight. Maddie walked into the bathroom before looking at herself in the mirror.

She took a deep breath as she closed her palms before lifting them up. 

"Come on" she opened her palms to see two small red energy balls which caused her eyes to widened.

She look at herself in the mirror to see her eyes glowing red "Shit" she mumbled. Realizing that her powers was still there, but why? They should be gone just like Five's and the others' powers was gone. But why is hers not gone?

"Love" a voice said which caused Maddie to snap out of her thoughts and she quickly powers down making her eyes change back and the red energy balls disappear.

"Maddie" she turned to see Five standing by the door frame "You alright?" he asked "Yeah" she nodded.

She have not told Five about her still having her powers, she was scared of his reacting and what he will say.

"Just wanted to fix my hair and face, since we haven't had a bathroom of our own for days" she said and he chuckled.

"Well, when you are ready, we can go out for dinner or something" he said "Are we going to wast the money Freddy gave us for a fancy restaurant?" she tilted her head.

"Well, no, but I think I spotted a small café just around the corner" he said "Well, okay, let's go. I'm also hungry" she walked over to him and the two left the motel.

"Well, that was some delicious food" Maddie said as her and Five was walking down the empty and dark street.

"Yeah" he nodded as he put his arm around her shoulder "Sorry that I couldn't take you to a fancy restaurant" he looked at her "Five" she looked at him before stopping.

"It's okay" she put his face in her hands so he was looking at her "As long as we are together, I don't care what we are doing" she said and he smiled.

"We just have to get use to live a life like this now, and we will. This is the beginning of a new life. One step at a time" she remove her hands from his face.

"You're right. I'm just glad I have you. Promise me you will never leave me" he said "I promise. Promise you will never leave mine" she said "I promise. I will never leave you" he gave her a kiss.

"Well well" a voice said and the two turned around to see a group of six huge guys.

"Look what we have here guys" the leader of the group smile "Listen, we don't want any problem so just walk away" Five told them.  

"Well, we will be in control of that" the leader said before he looked at Maddie "Beautiful lady you got there kid" he looked back at Five "Why not share her?" he asked "Back off or you will all find out just how many bones there is in a human body" Five hissed.

"You are gonna get yourself hurt" the guy said "Listen, we don't have any money on us, so can you please just let us through" Maddie said "Well, maybe you can give us something that is much better than money" he smiled "Hey, let us through and walk away, or it will be worse on yourself" Five threated "Like you can hurt us kid" the guy chuckled.

Then suddenly someone grab Maddie from behind "Hey" Five snapped but the leader grab him but Five turned around before throwing a punch at the guy.

"Little shit" the leader grunt before three guys attack Five all at once.

While Five tried to fight the three guys, two others was holding Maddie "No, let go of me" she said while the guys were slowly dragging her away.

"LET FUCKING GO OF HER" Five tried to get to Maddie but the three guys kept stopping him.

Even so Five was the best assassin, it was a little hard for him to take on three guys without his powers and also because they were bigger than he was, but he didn't give up.

"FIVE!" Maddie cried out as she saw Five being punch to the ground.

"You're coming with us young lady" one of the guys said.

Maddie knew that was only one way to get out of here. She have to use her powers.

"I SAID LEAVE US ALONE!" Maddie cried out which caused a red force energy wave to shut out of her, throwing the guys backwards.

Maddie then turned her head towards the three guys that was punching Five "Leave him alone" her eyes glow red and a red energy ball appeared on her left palm as she lifted her left arm up, lifting the three guys up in the air.

"Leave, unless you want to make me really angry" she threated before she with her powers threw the three guys into the two guys that was holding her before and have just gotten up.

Maddie then snapped her head at the leader who look really scared "Leave" she lifted him up before throwing him away, causing his back to hit a brick wall, and he fell to the ground with a grunt.

Maddie powered down before she turned to Five and rushed over to him "Honey, are you okay?" she crouched down next to him and he looked up at her "You still---" his eyes was widened as he was in shock.

"Let get back and clean your bruises" Maddie help her husband up before they left without spotting the upside umbrella tattoo on the guys' wrists.

Maddie and Five was sitting on the bed as she was cleaning her husband's cut.

Five haven't said a word and that worried Maddie.

"Don't take it hard on yourself, it was three against one" she cleaned his swollen lip.

Five didn't answer "Why are you not saying anything?" she asked "Why didn't you tell me you still have your powers?" he asked with his soft voice, he sounded a little guilty.

"Maddie you're my wife, I'm your husband, we are married. We're not suppose to have any secrets from each other" he said "I know" she looked down. "I just didn't understand why and how. And I was scared---" "Scared that I would leave you or be angry at you, or be envious of you" she nodded.

He then grab her hands "Maddie. My Love. I would never leave you" she looked at him "I love you okay, no matter what. And I will help you with this. We will find out together, okay. I promise" he stroke his thumb up and down on her knuckles.

"We can't tell the others, I don't want to, not until we find out more about why I still have my powers" she said "And we will, but I think to protect you, we have to keep it a secret, not just from our siblings, but from the whole world if anyone finds out they might..." he let out a sigh "They might take you and hurt you so---" "Keep it a secret" they both said before they looked at each other.

"I love you, always and forever" he said "I love you, always and forever" she said and they smiled before connection their lips.

Few weeks after Reginald reset the universe.

It was a quiet and normal Friday evening. Maddie was standing up on stage singing a song called 'Through the Vally'

'I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And I fear no evil cause I'm blind to it all. And my mind, my gun they comfort me. Because I know I'll kill my enemies when they come' Maddie sang as she was playing on a guitar.

'Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. and I'll dwell, on this earth, forevermore. Said I walk beside, the still waters and they, restore my soul, but I can't walk on the path of the right, because I'm wrong' Maddie sang.

Five sat over in the corner watching his wife with loving eyes and a smile.

'And I will dwell on this earth for ever more. Sad I walk beside the still waters and they restore my soul. But I can't walk on the path of the right because I'm wrong. No I can't walk. On the path of the right. Cause I'm wrong' Maddie sang.

Five never get tired of Maddie's beautiful voice.

'Well, I came upon a man at the top of a hill. Called himself the savior of the human race. Said he come to save the world from destruction and pain. But I said, "How can you save the world from itself?"' Maddie sang before she started whistling.

Over in another corner stood a young man and was looking at Maddie.

'Cause I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And I'll fear no evil 'cause I'm blind. And I walk beside the still waters and they restore my soul. But I know when I die my soul is damned. But I know when I die my soul is damned' Maddie sang as she finished the song and everyone started clapping.

"Thank you everyone" Maddie smiled before she walked down to Five "That's was beautiful Love, as usual" he said before giving her a kiss.

"You think?" she asked "It was amazing. You have the voice of an angel" he stroke his thumb up and down as he had his hands on her shoulders.

"You deserve a drink" he said before he walked over to the bar counter.

"Miss" a voice said and Maddie turned around to see a young man with short brown hair and brown eyes.

"Who are you?" she asked "I'm Allan Star" he introduce "Hello Mr. Star. How can I help you?" she asked "I'm here for you" he said and she furrowed her brows in confusing. While she was ready for anything, if now this man turn out to be bad news. Reginald could have sent him, maybe to kidnap Maddie because she still had her powers.  

"Hey" a voice said and the two turned around to see Five walking over to them before he stood next to Maddie "Who are you?" he asked "Who are you?" Allan asked "I'm her husband" Five replied and Allan nodded "And who are you?" Five asked, as he stood in a way like he was ready for anything.

He was ready to do anything to protect his wife.

"Don't worry, I'm not here to cause trouble" Allan said "Then why are you here?" Five asked "I'm Allan Star and I own a lapel" he said before he looked at Maddie "I saw you up on the stage and I gotta say you have an amazing voice" he said "Thanks" Maddie said "Therefore I want to offer you a record deal" Allan said and the couple glanced at each other.

"It's a well paid record deal. You will go on tour. It's a good career" the man said "We need to talk about it" Maddie said and Allan nodded.

Maddie and Five then walked over in a corner so Allan couldn't hear them "Love, this is amazing. Finally someone that notice your beautiful voice" Five said as he looked at her "But I don't want to leave you" she said "Well, I don't really trust that guy" Five said "You also have big trust issues" she said and he looked back at her "This can be good for us honey. The money. We can live a good life" she said "Yeah, and we can travel around the world, just like your dream" he said "I'm not leaving on tour without you" she said "Well, then it's good that I'm not leaving you" he said as he put her face in his hands.

"This can be good for us Love" he said "Yeah. But we are keeping a low profile. I mean what if Reginald finds us because of this" she said.

Five knew that Maddie was terrified over that their evil adopted dad would find them "Well, you can used a cover name" he said "Yeah, I could do that" she said "But I don't think our dad care about us anymore now that he have gotten what he wanted" Five said "We never know" she said.

After talking about it for a minute the couple walked back to Allan "So?" he asked "I will accepted the deal, but I want my husband to come with me everywhere I go, on concert, even on tour" she said "No problem" Allan said "I want a cover name so I don't have stalkers and creepy people following me" she said "Got it" Allan said "Then you have yourself a deal" she said "Good, your tour will begin next week" Allan said and her eyes widened "Already?" she asked and he nodded.

The next few weeks Maddie and Five travel all around the world, exploring cities, tying new things and just having the best time together.

They love being goofy with each other and experiencing life with each other. They are both so in love and consumed by each other and as the weeks goes by, the love only grows. They love travelling together, they like to take days as they comes and be spontaneous and adventurous.

And in just a month Maddie became a world famous singer.

In was a Friday night and Maddie grabbed a little blanket to lay on her, Five turns around and takes her into his arms. With Five's chest now pressed against her back, his arms around her and his softly breaths on the back of her neck, she allows herself to finally close her eyes and rest.

But she opened her eyes again and took Five's hand in hers and let her eyes take in every detail of it before she lay her other hand on it too. She smiled as she feel a finger of his softly stroke her hand.

"Five?" she softly whispered

"Yes?" his sleepy voice sounds behind you

"Whatever the future brings, we will always find our way back to each other, won't we?" she asked him to then place a soft kiss on his hand that she is holding in her hands.

A soft chuckled is heard from behind her and with his other, Five pulled Maddie even closer to his body.

"Whatever the future brings, we will always find our way back to each other" he whispered in her ear and her content smile widens as he does so.

"I love you"

"I love you too"
