A/N: I'm bored and in quarantine so I decided to put questions in every chapter and comment your answer so we could get to know each other

Ted's POV

"You ready?" Sam asked.

We were walking to the auditorium where the auditions were held. I'm extremely nervous, to say the least. Sam and Lai are helping me to calm down cause they could see my nervousness.

"Y-Yeah," I said, trying to calm down a bit.

We enter the auditorium to see 8 students which were all juniors, sitting in the front row and two teachers. I notice one of them was my music teacher, Mr. Lim which only made me more nervous.

We sat down at the front row where everybody else was and the auditions began. I was the only male and senior who will audition which sort of calmed me down.

I have asked them countlessly if I should audition. I was having doubts because one, I don't know if my voice is that good, and two, we would be competing with one another since its seniors and juniors.

They always answered yes and that I would win anyways which I laugh at every time. The first girl finished auditioning and my nervousness came back. I'm so scared that they would call me next.

They called the next one and fortunately, it wasn't me. I sighed in relief. I was getting bored at this time so I decided to get my phone and texted the person from last night.

Ted
Hey, wyd?

This unknown number started texting me last night and strangely, I felt comfortable. He, yes it's a he, told me he knew me and I know him but he denied to reveal who he was. He just told me to call him 'secret friend' which to be honest, sounds creepy.

We talked the whole night which I never thought I'd be able to do. It's been a long time since I had a full conversation with someone. Funnily, we talked about how Zach suddenly became so nice. He was confused too, as expected. I mean, who isn't confused?

Secret Friend
It's lunch, so eating lunch. I haven't seen you yet.

Ted
Can't say the same for you lol

The second girl finished auditioning and they called another one which still wasn't me, thankfully.

Has anything interesting happened to your day?

Ted
Not today, but yesterday. My crush sat next to me in one of my classes. God, it was so awkward, especially when he started talking to me which I had to process in my mind that it wasn't a dream lol

I smiled and laughed a little. Jorgey huh? It's not that bad.

I smiled as I sent this text. Kaiden. Yeah, there are too many Kadens in this school. It's like finding a sugar granule in a salt pile.

Black and Gold, even if a lot of people disagree on black being a color

Yeah, a lot of people do, mine's pink, but don't tell anyone

Ted
Funny how you're stressing about that when I don't even know you

I laugh and looked around. Only the three of us and the two teachers were left. How long was I on my phone?

Ted
Shoot, got to go, talk to you later Kai

I put my phone in my pocket and finally looked in front. Sam was already on stage auditioning.

"You were literally texting for 15 minutes straight. Who was it?" Lai asked, still looking in front.

"Oh, no one," I said, trying not to make a smirk.

Sam finished her audition and Lai was called next. Thank God I was last. I don't know what I would do if eight students were going to watch my audition.

"You were great," I told Sam as she sat next to me.

I would say the same for Lai. If they don't pass the auditions, I will sue this school. Just kidding. I won't do that. I don't even think I have that much confidence to stand in front of class.

Lai finished and it was my turn. This is it. Just try not to have a panic attack in the middle of singing and you'll be good.

"Good luck," Sam mouthed to me.

I climbed on stage and stood in front of Mr. Lim and Mrs. Moore. I stood there awkwardly, trying not to panic.

Breathe Ted.

"Surprise to see you here, Ted," Mr. Lim said.

Yeah, it surprised me too.

"You may now start. And a reminder, what you sing now would be the song you will sing on the contest if you pass this audition," I nod at what Mr. Lim said and started to sing.

I just pictured that I was in my room, by myself. It definitely helped me sing. After singing the first verse and chorus, I stopped.

"Oh, I forgot it was only the first verse and chorus. Well, I guess I'll need to wait for the competition to hear that amazing voice again," Mr. Lim said making me blush.

Oh my god, does that mean I passed the auditions?

"D-Does that mean I p-pass?" I ask. They looked at one another and answered.

"Yes."

Oh my god, I passed the auditions.

"Along with Sam, Layla, Jane, Vanessa, and Damien," he said making me look at Sam and Lai.

They both screeched which echoed through the empty auditorium. I went to them and celebrated with them. We thanked the two teachers and went out of the auditorium.

"I knew you were gonna pass the auditions! Now, you just need to beat Vanessa," Sam said which I laughed at. This girl needs to chill.

"C'mon, we still have 40 minutes of lunch let's eat," I tell them.

They nod and complained about how their tummies were growling and starved but a bit more dramatic. Like they have been almost starved to death.

We walked to the cafeteria and ate everything our stomach could handle as a "prize" to ourselves for passing the auditions.

Damn, I love my new friends

It's the next day and Tessa, and so was my dad, were super happy that I passed the auditions.

I am currently in my second period with Tessa which was AP World History. Nothing really has happened that's out of the ordinary. Tessa did want to just scream to the world that I passed the auditions.

But me being me, used all my power to prevent Tessa from telling anyone. It's difficult considering it was Tessa who I was dealing with but I can handle it.

"Today I will be giving you your paired project essay that you will be doing for 1 month. You will need to make a 10 page..." Mrs. Bennett explained to the whole class.

The project was quite easy. It's just a 10 paragraph essay on our lesson. It'll take a little less than a week for only me to finish. With a partner, it would take just 4-5 days.

"And for the pairing..." She continued.

I waited for my name to be called. The last pairs were said and I wasn't paired. Why wasn't I paired? I raised my hand to get Mrs. Bennett's attention.

"Um, Mrs. Bennett, I wasn't paired," I said.

"Oh, right. Since you will be tutoring someone, I made the decision to give you an exception and give you a perfect score as a thank you for tutoring," she smiled.

"Who am I going to tutor?"

"Oh, he will be here any min-" she was cut off by a knock on a door.

"I guess he's here," she said and walked to the door.

So it's a boy huh? I hope he isn't one of those mean or the popular ones. Oh God, he's probably one of those mean or popular ones, isn't he?

"Ted, this is who you will be tutoring for a month."

Oh no.

This can't be real.
