Fading
I love reading honestly, I never did learn very well with some smart asses talking, thinking they knew everything. Honestly, I would fall asleep. I don't know, I just couldn't get into it. Any way, I sigh and put down my book and look at the door of my quarters. I could have sworn I heard something. I chuckle to my self and got up to go look and see what was up.
Upon opening the door, I saw her standing there. Just as beautiful as ever. She smiled up at me, "Now why are you in here?" She asked tilting her head to the side. If i were to speak honestly, I really didn't know. I chuckled under my breath. I followed Kaliona Through the halls, I knew she was talking to me but it sounded like mumbles, whispers in the wind.
-I ran through the woods, only just dodging the tightly knit trees. The wind born of my speed whipped my eyes and ran through my hair. I could hear the thundering of the waterfall and the light beating of the others following behind me. I took a deep breathe, I didn't think it was possible without loosing my feet but i ran faster, barely touching the ground. This is what I imagine flying to be like but without the view.-
As we walked, I examined all the rooms that I could see, well who ever had the door opened. I couldn't imagine leaving here but when I leave here, if i do, I suspect I will be damaged, complete with OCD. I'd flop to the floor, stretched out till I nearly covered the entire cell. OCD and claustrophobia. The death of me. - not that I was fond of tight spaces before. I will admit the ocean smells, beautiful but I do miss the smell of rotting leaves and wet grass already. By my approximations, That day won't come for a very long while. As for now, I am relying solely on my body clock to tell me when that day is near or has come but more precisely my affinity with the moon. It calls to me, my entire being, body and soul.
"Are you listening to me," screamed a voice, but that wasn't what knocked me out of all thought. It was the smell of smoke as we entered on to the deck.
"Makers breath.." I whispered
"My ship.." Kaliona whispered with eyes wide, tears falling down her cheeks on to the deck.
"My people." She stared in horror as she could hear her fellow crew scream and cry, some jumping, some burning alive.
I didn't understand.
What happened?
Was she trying to tell me something was going on while I was zoned?
Who did this?
Are we next?
Why just her ship and not mine?
