They took Dex's body back to Havenfield (which was their meeting place). Sophie and Keefe walked inside first. They were immediately hugged by Edaline. She was still crying but no one noticed except for Keefe. Edaline pulled away to hug the others. Finally Grady walked in holding Dex. Everyone that didn't already know was in shock. Juline was crying the most. Edaline was the first of the group to come out of shock and ran over to her sister hugging her tightly. Keefe hugged Sophie as she started crying more and more.

"Its not your falt Sophie you have to remember that. Promise me"

" I promise..."

Keefe pulled away from her to study her. For some reason her heart doing the weird fluttering thing that she always hated. After Keefe was satisfied he put his infamous smirk on his face.

"Its been a long day everyone we will meet at the Wanderling Woods tomorrow at mid day break for Mr. Dizznee's planting. Get a good nights rest if you can"

Mr. Forkle said mumbling the last part. He gave Sophie a sad smile and lept away before she could argue. Everyone went home until it was Sophie, Edaline, Grady, and Keefe.

"Do you guys mind if I sleep over?..."

Grady was about to respond when Edaline interrupted him.

"Of course Keefe. Is there anything you need?"

"No thank you Mrs. Ruewen."

"Keefe please call me Edaline"

"Ok thank you Edaline"

Sophie grabbed Keefe's hand and brought him upstairs to her room.

"Why did you want to sleep over?"

"I just... don't have anywhere to stay unless you count my dad's houses and I'm not going back there if I don't have to."

"Of course you can Keefe.."

Sophie sat down on her bed patting the spot next to her motioning for Keefe to sit down beside her. When he did she asked him

"Do you want to talk about today?"

Keefe looked away so she grabbed his hands.

"We defeated the Neverseen Foster what else us there to talk about?"

They both knew what Sophie was talking about but Keefe was avoiding it.

"Look at me Keefe...."

Keefe looked at her in her eyes.

"You need to talk about it. Share your emotions."

Keefe looked down at his feet.

"I just- I just wish I could have said goodbye to her. I know that she probably wouldn't care about it but it doesn't mean that I didn't care." Keefe was crying now. All that Sophie could do was hug him and let him cry on her shoulder. Sophie had been pushing back tears for a while now but she had to be strong for Keefe. When Keefe was done crying he looked Sophie right in the eyes. His eyes where still beautiful even though he had been crying. Before she knew what she was doing she was leaning in to kiss him. But she didn't stop. It was Keefe who closed the space between them. Fireworks went off in Sophie's stomach. Sophie never wanted to pull away but she had to so she could breathe. Keefe looked at the floor again.

"Foster, there is something that I've been wanting to ask you for a while now."

He twiddled his thumbs around stairing at his feet.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
