*This chapter starts right after Damon and Alaric finish getting Stefan back and then it skips Under Control, Miss Mystic Falls, Blood Brothers, and Isobel. I know it skips a lot of episodes but those episodes honestly don't really contribute to my plot. The rest of the chapter continues in the season finale, Founder's Day.*

"Hey, what happened to you? You just disappeared on me" Damon says leaning against the door to Jeremy's room. Alvina sits on the bed still regaining her energy and strength. Her hair is damp but no longer from the rain but from the shower she had just gotten out of.

"How's Stefan?" She asks quietly. Damon frowns his eyebrows instantly knowing something is seriously wrong. He moves from the doorway to the bed. Jeremy had moved to the kitchen to get her some food letting the two of them have a moment alone.

"He's alright, we got to him" Damon says sitting on the bed. "What happened?" He asks gently. She wraps her arms around her legs, hugging her knees to her chest. Jeremy's scent swarms her senses as she wears his clothes. It helps comfort her.

"We had just separated when I heard Jeremy screaming for help" Alvina beings to explain. "I left to go find him, instantly" Damon nods understanding that her priority is Jeremy. He isn't upset that she had left to go to Jeremy, he would have done the same for his soulmate. "Only, he wasn't there" She whispers looking at him.

"What do you mean he wasn't there?" Damon asks.

"Fairy's have this ability to create illusions. I don't use it often, it takes a lot out of me and I can't hold it very long. But a full blooded fairy can do it as easily as breathing and it's so real" She whispers. "I truly thought Jeremy was afraid for his life. I chased him throughout the entire forest it felt like"

"But it wasn't him, it was an illusion" Alvina nods.

"Pearl wanted revenge for me killing Anna. She tipped off a hunter, a fairy hunter. He captured me with this 'Enchanted Iron'. It weakened me. I could barely move, couldn't fight. I couldn't use my abilities, couldn't even reach out to Jeremy."

"What did he do?" Damon asks keeping an amazing amount of control over the anger that's bubbling in his chest.

"He took me to his truck. He tossed me into a cage that was made out of the same material. Said he was gonna sell me to the council or this place called Augustine" The moment she mentions the latter Damon tenses and his eyes darken. "What is it?" She asks softly.

"Are you sure he said Augustine?" Damon asks slowly. Alvina looks at him for a moment before nodding. Damon clenches his jaw and growls looking away from her.

"What is it?" She asks quietly. Damon takes a moment before sighing.

"Augustine is a place that does experiments on vampires" Damon says looking at her. "I was a prisoner there before we met and I barely escaped with my life" Damon says.

"Damon, he's still in town" She whispers. "He's not going to stop"

"He's not coming near you" Damon growls protectively. "The council is not going to find out about you and you are not going to Augustine"

"Damon, if he bites you, you die. My blood won't save you, only his" She tells him. He gives her a small smile.

"So, I won't get bit" Damon shrugs. "Seems easy enough" She gives him a look. "Don't worry, we'll get rid of this guy. You're not going anywhere" She gives him a small smile. He pats her leg lightly before standing up. "Until then, lay low"

"Yes, sir" She says playfully. He grins and gives her a wink before leaving. 

"Movie night?" Jeremy asks coming back into the room with strawberries. Alvina instantly smiles making Jeremy smile. She nods and he sits on the bed beside her. He puts on a movie on his laptop. She curls into his embrace and snacks on the strawberries.

It took weeks before Alvina could leave the house. Damon and Stefan did their best to make the hunter believe that Alvina had left town. The two brothers knew they couldn't go up against a full blooded fairy, he'd kick their asses. Damon advised Alvina to continue laying low until they were absolutely certain that the guy wasn't returning.

While hiding out in Jeremy's room, Alvina did her best to research 'Augustine'. It was hard to find real information on the society. She was tempted to ask Damon about it but didn't want to upset him.

Despite knowing how dangerous it is, she couldn't help but feel drawn to it. She assumed her feelings towards the society were simply because she didn't want those vampires, and possibly other supernatural creatures, to suffer the horrors that Damon suffered. She wanted to help them escape like Damon did but finding out about the society was practically impossible.

"Excited to get out of the house?" Jeremy asks as he finishes putting on his costume.

"I've been here for over a month" Alvina complains. "Who thought Fairy's would be so stubborn?" She mumbles and Jeremy gives her a look. "What? I'm not stubborn" She says obviously.

"Ok" Jeremy laughs shaking her head. Her mouth drops.

"What? I'm not" She practically stomps her foot. He laughs some more and walks up to her.

"Of course you're not" He says planting a light kiss on her lips. "How do I look?" He asks taking a step back.

"Very handsome" She says winking at him. He grins and grabs his pack. "Ready to go, soldier?"

"After you, milady" He says motioning towards the door. She grins and winks at him while walking out of the room first. He follows behind her and the two make their way towards the high school. "I'll find you after the parade"

"Break a leg" Alvina winks at him. He laughs and the two of them separate. Alvina looks around. "Damon" She calls out moving closer to him.

"How's it feel to be in the sun again?" He asks smirking at her.

"Amazing" Alvina grins looking up to the sky. "I think I'm gonna take Jeremy to the forest tonight for a date, get reconnected to nature, I've been away for far too long" She tells him.

"Just be careful" He says and she smiles at him.

"I'll be fine" She says nudging him. "I don't think I ever thanked you for helping me out with that hunter problem"

"Don't worry about it" He says smirking at her. He wraps an arm around her shoulders as they watch the parade pass by them. "I kind of like ya, wanna keep ya around a little longer"

Alvina grins and wraps her arms around his midsection. He grins and gives her shoulders a gentle squeeze while giving her a brotherly kiss on the top of her head.

Once the parade ended Alvina and Damon split. Damon seeks Elena out while Alvina gravitates towards Jeremy. She hands him a bag of clothes he can change into. He gives her a kiss for gratitude.

"So, I was thinking" Alvina says as the two of them saunter down the street after he changes. "That we watch the fireworks from one of the clearings in the forest"

"I was thinking the same thing" Jeremy says smiling at her. Her face lights up.

"Really?" She asks him and he nods.

"You've been in the house for over a month, of course I knew you were gonna want to spend time in the forest. So, I bribed some buddies of mine to set up a spot for us" He tells her.

"You are absolutely amazing" She whispers draping her arms around his neck. "I love you so much" 

"I love you, too" He mutters before kissing her. She grins deepening the kiss. His grip around her tightens and they force themselves to pull back before they get too into it.

"Let's get some food first" Jeremy nods in agreement. Once they're fed they slip away from the crowd. Jeremy leads her through the forest to a spot on a hill.

"Cozy" Alvina smiles. There's a blanket covering the grass, a few of them with some pillows as well. There's even a few battery operated lights hanging from the trees and wrapped around their trunks. Jeremy turns them on before laying on the blankets with Alvina. "You out do yourself every time" She whispers.

"I only want the best for you" He whispers to her. She smiles laying on top of his chest. "You've had a rough couple of months, it's the least I could do"

"You're perfect" Alvina whispers looking into his eyes. She laughs from the amount of happiness she's feeling. "Absolutely perfect" She says kissing his lips. He grins wrapping his arms around her.

"The fireworks are starting" Jeremy mutters against her lips.

"I don't care" She whispers straddling his waist. Jeremy smirks getting excited. His hands slip under her shirt needing some skin-on-skin contact. She sits up and Jeremy smiles at her but his smile falters at the look on her face.

"What is it? Is something wrong?" He asks looking around.

"Do you hear that?" She whispers holding her head as the noise gets louder.

"I don't hear anything, what's going on?" He asks sitting up.

"Oh God" She whimpers as the pain in her head grows so much she can't focus on anything else. "Jeremy it hurts" She cries pulling at her hair.

"What hurts? What's wrong?" He asks frantically while trying to get her to stop hurting herself. "Vina, focus on me" He say pulling her into his chest not knowing what was causing her pain but wanting to help her. She clings to him almost painfully. "It's ok, just focus on me. Focus on my voice, listen to my heartbeat"

Alvina can barely hear him but tries to do as she's told. She tries to take deep breath and she tries to focus on his heart beat. His hands rub up and down her body trying to get her to focus on anything but the pain.

It feels like it lasts for ages but it ends in less than a half an hour. When the pain's over she gasps for breath and practically falls limp on Jeremy. He holds her close and continues to whisper comforting words in her ears.

"This town's gonna drive me to an early grave" Alvina pants slightly. Jeremy presses his lips together hating how there's practically nothing he can do to protect her from the things that have been harming her recently.

"I love you" He says hugging her to his chest. She snuggles deeply within his embrace. "I love you so much"
