*Chapter Thirty Four* {Rose}

"How does this work?" Jeremy asks standing with Bonnie and Alvina in Alaric's classroom. On the desk in front of them is a map laid out with two candles. Apparently, Elena decided to go missing. This didn't bother Alvina but it did bother her mate, so it in a way (a very small way), it did bother her.

"I'll use your blood to draw energy for the tracking spell. You're blood related; it'll help make the connection stronger," Bonnie explains preparing for the spell.

"Alright, Alaric said we've got to clear out of here within ten minutes," Stefan says marching into the room. The determination is clear on his face and Alvina briefly wonders why trouble is always surrounding the older Gilbert sibling. How many times are their lives going to revolve around her because she's in some sort of situation that she can't get out of herself?

"Are you ready?" Bonnie asks looking at Jeremy with a knife in her hands. Alvina growls knowing Bonnie needed to get Jeremy's blood but it didn't matter. Alvina didn't like anything that caused Jeremy pain, even if it was just a cut.

Jeremy, sensing his mate's discomfort, takes the knife from Bonnie. The witch watches him curiously but he simply hands the knife to Alvina. The fairy looks at him while gently taking the knife from his hands.

"I trust you," He whispers hoping that if it were Alvina cutting into his hand she would be less likely to snap and go into an over protective mode. He could only imagine her doing something to Bonnie over a simple cut, even if she didn't have any malicious intent.

Sighing, Alvina cradles Jeremy's hand in hers. She gently presses the knife into his hand just deep enough to draw enough blood for the spell. Bonnie instantly recites the spell but Alvina doesn't listen. She looks at Jeremy's hand, frowning at the cut.

"It doesn't hurt," Jeremy mumbles. Alvina smirks glancing up at him.

"Sexy and tough," Alvina hums. "How'd I get so lucky?" She whisper winking at him. Jeremy doesn't bother hiding the shit eating grin that takes over his face.

"There. She's there." Bonnie says bringing everyone's attention back to the map. Jeremy instantly frowns.

"That's 300 miles away," He notes.

"No, Bonnie, we need a more exact location than that," Stefan tells her shaking his head. Bonnie shrugs slightly.

"That's as close as I can get,"

"We can map it, aerial view will show us what's around there, help us narrow down the area," Jeremy suggests.

"Add smart to the list," Alvina purrs to low for Bonnie to hear. His cheeks flush and his weight leans towards her.

"Perfect," Stefan says ignoring what Alvina had said. "Call me with whatever you find,"

"No, no I'm coming with you," Jeremy says pulling his hand from Alvina's. He moves to stand with Stefan but Alvina blocks his path.

"The hell you are," Alvina growls. Jeremy instantly goes to argue but she doesn't give him a chance. "No, Jeremy," She says sternly. "We don't know who has Elena, we don't know what has Elena. You won't be able to defend yourself,"

"He can't do this alone," Jeremy argues. "And if I'm not going, you're not either," He quickly adds before she could speak up. Alvina simply shrugs. She'd rather stay with Jeremy where he's safe than run around in the woods trying to find his sister.

"He's not going alone," Damon states entering the room. Alvina spins around towards him. "Whoever or whatever has Elena, we can deal with it," He says stopping by his brother.

"You're gonna come with me?" Stefan asks raising his eyebrows. Damon smirks nodding.

"Why not? Boys trip, brother bonding time, knights saving thou damsel, whatever you wanna call it," He shrugs. "Find out where she is, give us a call," Damon says looking between Alvina and Jeremy. The two brothers leave the classroom to begin their search.

"Come here," Alvina says motioning towards Jeremy. He steps back in front of her. She gently takes his hand and lifts it up. Extending his fingers, Alvina leans down towards the cut. She didn't need to be a vampire to heal him. Grazing her tongue over the small gash, Jeremy watches as his skin reconnects as she leans back.

"Neat," He mutters looking at his palm. There isn't any evidence to suggest that there had been a cut in the first place. Alvina gives him a grin followed by a wink.

"Why don't we skip the rest of school and just head home?" Alvina suggests turning her head towards Bonnie. "We can try to see if we can't find where Elena is while staying somewhere more comfortable."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Jeremy agrees turning his head towards Bonnie as well. The Bennett witch nods grabbing her things. Jeremy slings his bag over his shoulder and leads them out of the classroom.

"You drive right?" Alvina asks looking at Bonnie. "Pretty sure dick-for-brains took the car," Bonnie couldn't help but to grin.

"Yeah, I drive," She tells her.

"Excellent," Alvina perks skipping a few steps before settling back down.

"You're adorable," Jeremy says wrapping his arm around his mate's neck. Alvina grins humming as she leans into his side. She raises her hand and intertwines her fingers with the hand that's dangling off her shoulder.

"I love you," She whispers to him. He whispers the words back to her before kissing her lips lightly. They both pull back as they reach the doors leading out of the school. "Enzo," Alvina whispers skipping down the steps and away from Jeremy. Her vampiric mate smirks catching her in his arms, holding her as if it had been years since they had seen each other and not mere hours.

"Hello, beautiful," Enzo greets holding her against his chest, her feet a few inches from the ground.

"Hi," She whispers back to him. Leaning toward him, she connects their lips. Instantly, Enzo's grip tightens around her. Slowly, he lowers her back to the ground only breaking the kiss when he feels her pull away. His hand raises and he drags his fingertips across her jawline.

"So, perfect," He whispers kissing her again. Alvina hums leaning into him, her leg threatening to kick up as pure bliss passes through her body.

Bonnie smiles at them but looks away feeling slightly awkward. She knows it's natural for them to be together but she isn't used to being around... a polygamous relationship. She also felt out of place, like she was intruding on them. Above all, she felt jealous. She wants what Alvina has.

Jeremy, on the other hand, couldn't look away. He stared at them intensely as they locked lips. The sight turned him on. It isn't the first time that he felt aroused while watching Enzo and Alvina be intimate (like kissing). He desired Enzo like he craved for Alvina. He wanted to be as comfortable and forward with Enzo like he is with his fairy. He's known Enzo for a little over a month and has been hesitant in accepting him simply because they're both of the same gender. As time passed, he realized he stopped caring about Enzo being a guy because he could feel himself falling for him as a person.

It started with the sly and suggestive smirks he would get from the Brit. Then he saw how protective and attentive he is towards Alvina. He found it shocking how he didn't get jealous over Alvina and Enzo, the lack of jealousy helped immensely. There's also the sexy accent and the dark brown eyes, the flirtatious winks and lingering touches. He wants Enzo, he knows he does, and every day is harder to keep his distance.

"So, where are you parked?" Alvina asks brining both humans from their thoughts. While Alvina looks towards Bonnie, Enzo settles his eyes on Jeremy with his signature smirk. He had this knowing look in his eyes, like he knew Jeremy had been watching and that he enjoyed it.

"Erm..." Bonnie clears her throat and motions to a part of the parking lot. Alvina pulls Enzo after her as she follows Bonnie, Jeremy following behind them. Bonnie slides into the drivers seat. Enzo opens the passenger door along with the backseat door on the passenger side for both Alvina and Jeremy.

"Thanks, handsome," Alvina whispers kissing his cheek before sliding into her seat. Enzo winks at her and closes her door. Following Alvina's lead, Jeremy musters up enough courage to kiss his cheek as well.

"Thank you," Jeremy whispers. Enzo tenses, not having expected it. However, a large and genuine smile begins to spread on his face.

"No problem," Enzo whispers back closing the door once Jeremy climbs in. He stands there for a moment, the grin still on his face before speeding around and getting in behind Bonnie.

Bonnie begins to drive back to the Gilbert house, Alvina practically talking her ear off about magic. Although Alvina was talking about for an entire party, Bonnie couldn't help but smile at her blatant love for magic and nature. It was so easy to get caught up in the bad and dangerous that Alvina easily reminded her of the excitement and good in magic.

Jeremy kept his gaze out the window, a hint of blush in his cheeks. Enzo kept stealing glances towards him before opting to simply stare. Jeremy isn't oblivious to Enzo's stare and couldn't help but to blush even more.

Smirking, Enzo reaches over and grabs Jeremy's hand. He keeps his hold tight not wanting to overstep. Jeremy grins slightly and flips his hand over so his palm is facing up. Enzo smirks intertwining their fingers.

A few minutes later Bonnie pulls up to the house. Enzo is quick to speed over to open the doors for his mates. Alvina kisses his cheek again before going to walk with Bonnie. Enzo looks over to Jeremy and holds his hand out. Jeremy smiles taking his hand. Seeing this as a good sign, Enzo pecks his forehead before pulling him into the house.

The four of them go up to Jeremy's room. Alvina collapses on Jeremy's bed, bouncing slightly. Bonnie takes a seat on Jeremy's desk chair while Jeremy sits beside Alvina, his back against the head board, with Enzo resting on his sit at Alvina and Jeremy's feet.

"I pulled this up based on that spot on the map," Jeremy says showing Bonnie his phone. "There's nothing for miles except for this old house,"

"Did you send it to Stefan?"

"Yeah," Jeremy nods pulling his phone back. "I hate sitting here, waiting like this," Jeremy grumbles. Alvina shifts so her head is resting on his lap. His eyes look towards her, a small smile coming onto his lips as he begins to play with her hair.

"Hey, she's gonna be fine," Bonnie reassures him.

"You don't know that," Jeremy tells her. Enzo reaches his hand out and begins to massage Jeremy's calf while Alvina hums random tunes quietly. Jeremy sighs finding the massage and humming equally soothing. "What are you doing?" Jeremy asks watching Bonnie take her grimoire from her bag. She grabs the desk chair and pulls it towards the bed, sitting closer towards the three mates.

"There's something I wanna try," Bonnie says flipping through the pages. Alvina sits up and shuffles closer to her. "I need a candle and grab Elena's hairbrush," Bonnie tells Jeremy. He nods instantly standing to get what she needs.

"What are you thinking, Bonnie?" Alvina asks frowning her eyebrows curiously. Bonnie doesn't answer. She grabs a piece of paper and begins to write something down. Alvina snatches the grimoire as Jeremy walks back with the candle and hairbrush. "Bonnie, are you sure you're strong enough for this spell?" Bonnie glances up at her but still doesn't answer.

"What's all this stuff for?" Jeremy asks.

"I know it's crazy but I might be able to get her a message" Bonnie tells him.

"Be careful, Bonnie," Alvina says warningly.

"I can do this," Bonnie tells her. Alvina sighs but nods handing her the grimoire.

Bonnie crumbles the paper and holds it above the candle. They watch as Bonnie says the spell. As suspected, the spell is stronger than what Bonnie is used too. Some drops of blood begin to come from her nose.

"Bonnie?" Jeremy asks having noticed it as well. Bonnie doesn't stop, she continues the spell. The paper burns before disappearing. Once the spell is complete, Bonnie almost immediately passes out.

"Shit," Alvina grumbles reaching out to stop Bonnie from falling out of the chair. Enzo stands he picks her up. Alvina and Jeremy get off the bed letting Enzo laying Bonnie down. "Relax, baby," Alvina whispers forcing Jeremy to look at her. "She'll be alright, she just over did herself,"

"Why would she do that?" Jeremy asks pressing his eyebrows together.

"Because she wants to help, she wants to feel useful, even if it hurts herself." Alvina explains. She glances over at the Bennett witch. "She shouldn't feel so much pressure to prove herself," She whispers.

"She just need to rest," Enzo tells Jeremy. "Why don't you get her some water?" Jeremy nods leaving the room. "Her heart rate is a little fast but it's settling down," Enzo tells Alvina.

"Good," Alvina sighs before smirking. "So, you and Jeremy," Alvina wiggles her eyebrows. Enzo instantly grins. "I told you he would come around." Enzo flashes in front of her.

"That you did, love," Enzo whispers kissing her. Alvina hums leaning into him.
