*Chapter Nineteen* {2 Episodes}
*Hey guys! So this chapter has multiple episode again just like last chapter. Again, I hope this isn't moving too fast and that it's still entertaining and easy to follow. If you guys want me to slow down and go back to episode by episode I will but I just wanna get to Klaus sooner rather than later. Once Klaus gets back it'll be even more enjoyable for me to write and for you to read because there's going to be sooooo much drama following our favorite Original Hybrid. Once Klaus comes things will slow back down and we'll go back to episode by episode like before. Is this good for you guys?
This chapter contains Fool Me Once, it skips A Few Good Men, and goes into There Goes the Neighborhood*
"Anna has Elena" Stefan says appearing in front of Alvina. She was walking towards Damon's car ready to go meet up with Jeremy when he blocked her path. "I need your help"
"Why do I have to help?" Alvina whined. "She doesn't even like me. If I was in her position, she wouldn't help me"
"She would because of how much you mean to Jeremy and I'm hoping you'll help me because Elena's his sister" Stefan said. Alvina crosses her arms and gives him the evil eye.
"Are you blackmailing me?" Alvina asks slowly picking up his underlining threat to tell Jeremy about the danger his sister is in which would put Jeremy in danger because he'd want to play hero.
"Don't think of it as blackmail, think of it as going after Anna" Stefan rewords. Alvina thinks about it. Stefan raises an eyebrow at her and she slowly caves in.
"Fine" She grumbles. "But Anna is mine" She says pointing at Stefan. "And I don't want your moral compass getting in the way of me and my prey" Stefan holds his hands up in mock surrender.
"I wouldn't dream of it" He tells her. She narrows her eyes at him not trusting him completely but not wanting to pass up on the opportunity to get at the bitch that's been stalking her boyfriend.
"So, do you have any idea of where they are?" Alvina asks uncrossing her arms walking beside Stefan back towards the house so they could think of a plan.
"Anna called and wants to meet up in the town square in about 30 minutes. She wants Emily's grimoire"
"Which Damon has" Alvina continued. Stefan nods. "And he's not exactly going to give it up seeing as you and precious Elena betrayed him, again" Alvina deadpans.
"Can we not get into that?" Stefan pleads as the two of them stop right before the the steps leading onto the front porch.
"Fine, I'll let it go... for now" She warns him. "Damon may be an asshole and hard to get along with but he's my best friend and if you think you're gonna get away with that little stunt unscathed, you're wrong"
"I get it" Stefan tells her. "I do. But let's focus on getting Elena, alright? Do you think you could find them? Wherever they are, they'll be alone because Anna's gonna be in town and I know getting the grimoire is a lost cause"
"As if we would ever hand it over" Alvina mutters. "Why don't you use your amazing tracking skills to find Juliet while I go deal with the try-hard-boyfriend-stalker" She smirks deviously at Stefan.
"You said you were gonna help me get Elena" Stefan says stepping towards her.
"And what better way to protect our Gilbert's than by killing the very person putting them in danger?" She asks tilting her head her smirk deepening. "Thank you, for telling me where she'd be and at what time, saved me a lot of work" She winks at Stefan and pats him on the shoulder.
"Alvina" Stefan growls in annoyance.
"Tik tok, Stefan, who knows what kind of danger thou damsel is in? You should go while I deal with the deadly dragon" Alvina winks stepping into Damon's car and driving towards the town. Stefan clenches his jaws before racing into the forest.
When Alvina arrived to the town square she parks and climbs out of the car. She could feel the anticipation building. She wanted to sink her teeth into Anna and watch her wither on the ground.
"What have I said about you driving my car?" Alvina smirks and turns around to face Damon.
"To do it more often?" Alvina shrugs innocently. A small smile begins to break through his stern exterior. "What are you doing in town? I figured that you'd be on your way to open the tomb by now"
"That's tonight" Damon tells her. "You wouldn't happen to be looking for Anna would you?"
"Wow, you do have a brain" Alvina grins. "So, wanna tell me where the girl is or should I hunt her the old fashioned way?"
"I need her alive, at least for tonight" Damon says. Alvina whines and stomps on the ground.
"But why?" She pouts.
"She has my witch which I need to preform the spell," Damon explained. "After I open the tomb and get Katherine-" Alvina rolls her eyes. Damon ignores her. "-then, by all means, kill her"
"You Salvatore's are truly becoming a pain in my ass" Alvina grumbles walking away from him.
"You're the best, Al!" Damon shouts which she responds with her favorite finger. He smirks before disappearing, in his car.
"Jeremy!" Alvina shouts finding him. She skips over to him as he turns to face her. His face instantly lights up at the sight of her.
"You look beautiful" Jeremy says gripping her his and lifting her in a circle before setting her down. She giggles and pulls him into a kiss.
"What do you wanna do tonight?" She asks gripping his hand as they walk down the street.
"Caroline mentioned some type of party tonight, wanna go?" He asks.
"Where?"
"In the woods, by the church" Jeremy says. "What is it?" He asks noticing the look on her face.
"They're opening the tomb, the one that has Katherine in it" Alvina explained. "I don't wanna be there when it happens"
"So, we have a night in, the two of us" He says. She grins and kisses his cheek.
"Sounds perfect" She whispers.
The two of them made their way back to Jeremy's room in the Gilbert house. They stayed inside and watched movies with Aunt Jenna. Neither of them knowing the outcome of the tomb opening, neither of them realizing that Katherine was nowhere to be found.
It wasn't until a few days later that Alvina finally was able to get some information from someone, Elena of all people. Jeremy's sister explained what had happened that night. Once Alvina heard that Katherine wasn't in the tomb, that she was never there, she instantly made her way back to the Salvatore home.
There, she found Damon in a complete mess. He was drunk off of alcohol and high off of blood. There were bodies all over the place, yet no one was dead, surprisingly, yet.
Alvina tried to get Damon to talk, to do anything other than avoid his emotions but nothing seemed to work. He wanted nothing to do with anybody but Alvina didn't give up on him. She stayed by his side watching after him. She made sure he didn't kill anyone, that his messes were cleaned up, and most importantly, that he didn't get himself killed.
If she didn't like Katherine before, she surely didn't like her now.
Jeremy continued to want to come to the Salvatore home to be with Alvina but she wouldn't let him. Alvina loves Damon, she considers him family, but she doesn't trust him with Jeremy, not with him in the state he is in at least.
The separation between the two was more than either of them like, more than they were used too. Since they bonded completely they were never apart for more than a few hours yet neither of them had seen the other in weeks.
However, Jeremy understood her need to watch after Damon. He respected her decision and anxiously waited for her to return to him. During the time of her absence he went to school and continued to work hard. The last thing he wanted was to disappoint her by slipping, grade wise. She spent so much time encouraging him to do well and put in the effort, he didn't want her to be upset with him over something he can control.
Unfortunately, Jeremy isn't the only one that's noticed Alvina's absence. With Alvina MIA, Anna's been trying to move in. Jeremy wanted to tell Alvina but at the same time he didn't want to add more to her plate. She already had her hands full with Damon, he didn't want to add the stress by mentioning Anna.
Besides, Anna hasn't exactly been threatening, just hanging around. She's opened the tomb, she has her mother, she has no need for Jeremy. All she wants is friendship. She likes Jeremy, she wants to be around him. Jeremy didn't necessarily welcome her company but didn't want to piss her off either seeing as she is much stronger than he is.
The good thing is, is that whenever she would get too close to him Stefan would always step in. He knew Alvina couldn't be in two places at once and knew how sacred soulmates are. If she couldn't be there to protect Jeremy then he would be.
Towards the middle of January Damon slowly comes back to Earth. While he's still heartbroken he begins to function more normally than he had been the past few weeks. He doubted he could ever be able to express his gratitude for Alvina but she understood. They knew each other well enough to say everything they wanted with just a look and a tight hug.
"You've been hanging out me for waaay too long" Damon says patting her back. "You need to get some sunshine, you getting too pale"
"Like you're the one to talk" Alvina says poking his side. He struggles to show a smile but it's progress.
"Go outside, see that boy toy of yours" He says. She gives him a playful glare but doesn't put up much of a fight. Damon reassures her that he's fine and she trusts him enough to leave him on his own.
The moment she leaves the house she turns into a fairy and speeds towards the Gilbert house. There she finds Jeremy, who is more than ecstatic to see her. Without meaning too, they ran Jenna out of the house with their explicit make up time in his room.
Jeremy smiles as he watches Alvina's sleeping body move up and down as she breaths in sync with him. Her head lays on his chest and her body rests between his legs.
For the first time in weeks he feels completely at ease. He then wondered how he managed to get by without her. He knew he didn't want to do it again. He didn't want to be separated from her, no matter what was going on.
"I love you" He whispers to her sleeping form. He presses his lips on the top of her head lightly. She hugs him tighter and snuggles deeper into his chest. He grins, his heart fluttering as he rubs her back.
He wanted to stay there for the rest of eternity but the sound of the doorbell ringing snapped him out of his thoughts. He quietly groans when he remembers that they're the only ones in the house and it was obvious that whoever was at the door wasn't going anywhere.
Jeremy didn't know how he did it but he managed to slide out from under Alvina. She continued to sleep, snuggling into his pillow, breathing in his scent. He smiles lovingly at her as he pulls on a pair of sweatpants.
He planned on sending whoever was at the door away and return to her as quickly as possible. He sends her one last look before jogging down the stairs.
"Anna?" Jeremy asks surprised to see her at his door step.
"Surprised?" She grins at him hopefully.
"I thought you and your mom we're leaving town" He says glancing back up to his room nervously knowing that if Alvina finds out Anna's here there'd be trouble.
"Change of plans" Anna shrugs. "Sorry, I thought you'd be psyched"
"You should go" Jeremy warns her. "I told you, you need to stop coming around me"
"Oh, come on-" Anna goes to complain but a voice cuts her off.
"You should have listened while you had the chance" Anna tenses noticeably. She slowly turns away from Jeremy and looks at Alvina. "Jeremy, go back to the room" Alvina demanded. Not wanting to anger her more, Jeremy walks away from the threshold and back to his room.
"Alvina" Anna smiles nervously.
"I remember telling you to stay away from him" Alvina tells her. "And yet here you are"
"I thought you had left for good" Anna admits. Alvina narrows her eyes. "I'll leave" She says trying to get past Alvina but it doesn't work. "I''m stronger than you" Anna warns.
"And yet it will only take one bite from me to put you through hours of pain which ends in death" Alvina tells her. Anna shoves Alvina away from her and races away.
Alvina grins maliciously and turns into her fairy form following after her. Anna runs through the woods praying she can get back to the place her mother and other vampires are before Alvina catches up. She knew Alvina wouldn't attack her there, she'd be outnumbered.
She was less than a mile away when Alvina finally catches up and slams Anna to the ground. Anna screams for help as fights Alvina. While Anna was most definitely stronger than Alvina, Alvina was definitely deadlier.
It didn't take long before reinforcements came to Anna's aid forcing Alvina to flea. However, by the time they got to Anna, it was too late. Alvina had managed to sink her teeth into Anna's forearm dooming her to death.
Anna screamed in pain and misery. She could feel the venom flowing through her veins killing her at a slow rate. She screams of pain and pleads for mercy would forever haunt her mother Pearl.
One look at the bite and Pearl knew there was no saving Anna. Absolute rage fills her as she is forced to put her own daughter out of misery. It wasn't fair, they were just reunited and now forced apart, this time with no hope to be together again.
When Alvina returned to Jeremy's room she felt angry yet satisfied. It had been obvious that this wasn't the first time Jeremy had been with Anna and that enraged Alvina.
"I specifically told you to tell me when Anna was around" Alvina growled.
"I'm sorry" Jeremy said quickly. "I just... I didn't want to worry you. You were already so focused on Damon-"
"Jeremy" Alvina cuts him off. She walks over to him and straddles his waist. His hands naturally rest on her hips while she cups his cheeks. "You will always be my first priority" She whispers to him. "You will always come first, ok? I love Damon, I will always look after him, but he does not come before you"
"I'm sorry" Jeremy whispers again squeezing her hips. "I just... I didn't want to add more to your plate. I love you"
"Next time, just tell me, alright?" She asks pressing her forehead against his. "I'd rather you add more to my plate than keep things to yourself. Jeremy, she could have hurt you, badly. She could have killed you"
"Hey" He whispers softly when he noticed her getting more worked up. "I'm right here. She didn't hurt me, she didn't kill me, I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here, with you, right where I belong"
"If anything were to happen to you, I'd kill everyone in sight" She whispers. "You are the most important thing in my life and I will protect you, let me protect you" She pleaded.
"I'll tell you everything from here on, alright? No more secrets, no matter what" He promises allowing her to relax. "Anna, is she...?"
"Yeah" Alvina whispers nodding. "Don't worry about it, I handled it"
"I love you" He whispers kissing her lips. Her body relaxes against his. "I'm sorry" He whispers again.
"It's alright, I love you" She mutters against his lips. Jeremy slowly laid back onto the bed, pulling her on top of him. She settled between his legs getting lost in him, neither of them knowing about Pearl's plan to avenge her daughter.
