*Chapter Fifty Five*

"Hey Jeremy," Alvina grabs his attention as they drive past the sign welcoming them into the state. Her boyfriend turns his head from the window and raises his eyebrows at her. She tries to control the grin on her face as she says, "Are you from Tennessee?"

Jeremy stares at her. She wiggles her eyebrows. They both know what's coming and Jeremy's trying to remain unphased.

"Cause you're the only ten I see... Aye, aye?" Alvina flirts, her grin spreading even wider as she nudges his side with her elbow. Jeremy's resolve breaks. She giggles as he looks away with a light blush paints his cheeks.

"The only one, love?" Enzo asks, sitting on her other side as the three of them sit in the back seat of the car like usual.

Alvina's head slowly rolls to look at him. By the time their eyes meet Alvina has forced all happy and flirtatiousness from her face turning those emotions into annoyance and pettiness.

"You stopped cuddling me last night mister. So, yeah, love, the only one," Alvina playfully glares, wiggling her finger in his face. She taps his nose before resting her hands back on her lap.

"What about me?" Klaus asks from the drivers seat. Alvina meets his look through the rearview mirror.

"What about you?" Alvina asks, lowering her voice. The simple action effects 3/4's of the men in the car. "Do you think you're so handsome you earn a 10 oughta 10?"

"Yes," Klaus states simply yet confidently. Alvina taps her chin before shrugging.

"Alright," Alvina concedes. "Sorry babe, you're no longer the only one."

"Well, at least I was the first," Jeremy shrugs, giving her a smile. Alvina smiles back and pecks his lips.

Stefan sighs slowly and pushes his head back against the headrest. Alvina smiles at him before snuggling into Jeremy's side ignoring Enzo's pouting. They barely get another half mile down the road before Enzo's forcing her to snuggle him instead.

"Boys," Alvina rolls her eyes. Enzo smirks holding her a little closer, his lips pressing to the top of her head. "So, I know you want to interrogate this family about a potential werewolf pack but why don't you do that tomorrow and we spend today to ourselves?" She suggests.

"What did you have in mind?" Klaus wonders. Alvina shrugs.

"Something the four of us can do and Stefan can do whatever people with hero hair do," Alvina sends the Salvatore a smirk when he snorts quietly. "The last month we've been going from hotel to hotel and stuck in this stupid car. I'm at my wits ends," Alvina tells them frankly. "We could find a bar or something with some games like the Grill."

Jeremy perks up at the mention of going somewhere similar to the Mystic Grill. His mind goes back to his hometown. He still gets rounds of homesickness but it's easing up. He's becoming used to being away from his family and home. He's growing accustomed to the moving around. He's even found himself enjoying it.

Alvina's right. The last month has been a lot of hotels and long car rides. They hardly did anything outside of hunting down werewolf packs. Beside the fact that they've been unsuccessful so far, there has been little moments that Jeremy knows will stick with him.

Such as the first time Klaus saw Alvina in her element. They were hiking through the woods. Alvina had grown bored and turned into her fairy form before flying around them. She knew she had most of her mates attention and showed off a bit. It was the first time Jeremy had seen the look of wonder on Klaus's face. It was the first time Jeremy saw something... human in him.

As the days passed Jeremy was seeing more of who Klaus is rather than the image he had painted in his mind. He knew Klaus was complicated and that they were just scratching the surface on who he is but Jeremy found himself wanting more.

The fact that Klaus had willingly sacrificed Elena even when he knew that she was Jeremy's sister was becoming a distant memory. It helped knowing that Elena wasn't truly dead. If she was, Jeremy didn't know if getting past it would have been as easy as it felt at the moment. Instead of mourning her, he felt as if they were simply going down different paths in life and were losing touch. He still got spurts of longingness to see his family but the pain is duller.

A month seemed short to him to be recovering so quickly but everything that had to do with soulmates seemed to be fast paced. Alvina and him had gotten together not long after they had met. Jeremy had given into Enzo far sooner than he had expected. So, it would make sense that only after a month things were moving forward. He only hoped that his lack of mourning isn't suspicious to Klaus.

Another twenty minutes of driving and Klaus pulls into a bar similar to the one they hung out in Mystic Falls. Stefan stayed with them instead of going off on his own. He followed them inside and headed for the bar while the four mates strode toward the pool table. It had been occupied when they arrived but the pair of couples kindly left when Klaus and Enzo asked them too.

"So, how do you play this again?" Alvina asks, taking a pool stick. Jeremy sends her a look but she winks at him playing dumb when Klaus turned his attention on her. Enzo leaned on a pool stick beside Jeremy smirking as he watches her bait Klaus.

"Why don't I show you?" Klaus offers, moving right up against her. Alvina shifts and leans her back slightly against his chest. His hands guide hers before applying subtle pressure against her back to bend her over the table.

"Like this?" Alvina whispers. Klaus leans close, his lips by her ear. When he whispers his lips brush against her helix. She overdramatizes the shiver she gets when his warm breath fans her cool skin. Klaus smirks, leaning into her more. It took all his strength to restrain himself from grinding into her in front of all these eyes. He almost didn't care about the audience.

"Are we always this disgustingly cute?" Jeremy asks Enzo under his breath. Although, most of the people in the bar wouldn't necessarily call the scene cute, they'd probably prefer the term 'inappropriate'.

"I believe I owe Stefan a drink after everything we've put him through the past month," Enzo jokes but doesn't tear his eyes off the teasing Alvina is putting Klaus through.

"Damon's had it worse," Jeremy tells him, his eyes glued on the scene as well.

"Well, Damon's not here and I'm sure he's being disgustingly cute with Emilia as we speak," Enzo says. He watches for another few seconds before handing Jeremy the pool stick and began to make his way to the bar. He figured he'd get Stefan that drink before he joined in on the... cuteness.

"And what about you?" Klaus asks, stepping away from Alvina. Jeremy snaps out of his indecent thoughts. He tries to settle his heart as Klaus stops beside him. By the coy smirk on his lips Jeremy knows Klaus can hear the pounding in his chest. "Need a lesson?"

Jeremy ignores the raging blush on his cheeks as he briefly imagines Klaus bent over him like he was over Alvina. He tries to push the image from his head before his thoughts became more... visible...er.

"I can manage," Jeremy said, inwardly cursing at the squeak in his voice. Klaus shrugs and doesn't push but he does inch closer.

"Let me know if you change your mind," Klaus mutters, staring into his eyes. The stare down last longer than normal but Jeremy doesn't notice. Not until Klaus returns to Alvina does he realize the daze the hybrid had put him in. He wonders how he's going to survive his mates with the affect they have on him.

"Ready for a game?" Alvina asks, taunting him with a look only she can pull off. A look somewhere between sassy, sexy, and daring.

"Think you can handle it?" Klaus asks, taking the pool stick Jeremy holds out to him.

"I like my chances," Alvina smirks, stepping up to him. "Care to make things interesting?"

"What do you have in mind?" He asks, forcing his eyes to stay connected with hers and to not travel anywhere else.

"If I win," Alvina mutters, tapping her finger up his chest. "I get to take you for a little night fly."

Klaus presses his lips together. He had resisted the begging look she had when she tried to persuade him to go flying with her earlier in the month. From the look on Jeremy and Enzo's faces he concluded that it's not something he wants to experience. On the other hand, he knows it's one he's not going to be able to avoid. Alvina is as persistent and stubborn as she is beautiful.

And by God she's one of the most beautiful women Klaus has seen. From her curvy hips to her slightly buxom breasts. All Klaus sees is perfection. And all Klaus wants to do is memorize every inch of her. Preferably under some dim lights atop a perfectly cushioned bed after a romantic dinner with wine and perhaps some roses.

"And if I win," Klaus says, brushing his finger behind her ear as he tucks some hair back. His fingers then lightly go down the dark strands enjoying the softness of it. "I take you on a date. The two of us," He specifies. He knows there will come a time when he'll be with all of them but he still wants to be able to have one-on-one experiences.

He chooses Alvina to be first. Alvina's more protective of Jeremy than Enzo is. He has to gain her trust before he can start pursuing Jeremy. On top of that, he wants to give Jeremy all the time he needs to adjust. He gave his word to them that he wouldn't rush Jeremy. Therefore, he'll hold back until the human is obviously ready to move forward.

Enzo would be his next target. Klaus gets the feeling that the Brit will be the easiest to seduce because he's the one who's been more open and welcoming to him. Enzo's already accepted him but is holding back until Alvina and Jeremy are comfortable. If Enzo sees him and Alvina moving along, Enzo will be more inclined to follow suit. Hopefully, after that Jeremy will be willing.

"You've got yourself a deal," Alvina winks. "I'll break."

It doesn't take long for Klaus to realize he's being hustled. Instead of anger he feels amused and impressed. However, he won't make this easy for her. He really doesn't want to go flying and he really want to take her out on a date.

As the game continues, Alvina begins to think. If she lets Klaus win he'll take her on an extravagant date and be pampered all night. If she beats Klaus then she'll get him to fly with her for ten minutes tops. The decision isn't hard to make. She knows she'll get Klaus in the air at some point but it just won't be right now.

"I like strawberries covered in chocolate with champagne," Alvina says, after Klaus sinks the winning shot. He smirks.

"I'm the one who won, shouldn't I get to make the plans?" Alvina smirks, walking up to him. She gently pats his cheek and gives him a cute smile. "Sure, babe."

"I didn't win anything did I?" Klaus asks Jeremy as Alvina sways her hips on her way toward the bar. Both of their eyes are clued on her.

"You won a night of treating her like a queen," Jeremy tells him. Klaus smirks, patting his back.

"That'll be every night."

*I really liked this chapter.. I hope you did too!*
