*Chapter Eighteen* [Multiple Episodes]
*This chapter has snippets of Bloodlines, Unpleasantville, and Children of the Damned... I really hope this doesn't seem like a rushed chapter but I just want to get things going at a faster pace. I hope things are still entertaining and y'all aren't getting bored. I promise things will get more interesting once Klaus comes but I just have to get there first, lol*
"So you're telling me that you're in a car with Elena Gilbert driving down to Georgia without Stefan?" Alvina questions through the phone.
"It's not like that, Al" Damon warns her.
"And what is it like?" Alvina asks tilting her head. "Because it seems like you're trying to get some one-on-one with your brother's girl, your maybe soulmate"
"She's not my soulmate" He growls quietly while glancing at a sleeping Elena.
"How do you know if you don't make some type of skin-to-skin contact?" Alvina asks and Damon growls in annoyance. Alvina rolls her eyes at his stubbornness. "Then why are you taking her on your little road trip?" Alvina asks.
"She got into a car crash, a really bad one. She passed out, what would you have me do?" Damon asks.
"There's a number of things you could have done if you didn't want to spend time with you. Could have dropped her off at the hospital, could have left her with your brother-"
"I'm hanging up" Damon says before doing just that.
"You're so thick sometimes, Danielle" Alvina sighs shaking her head. Shoving her phone into her back pocket she continues her way towards the library where she's supposed to meet Jeremy.
When she arrives she instantly spots him. She grins but it falters when she notices he's not alone. There'a girl beside him and Alvina can sense Jeremy's unease.
"Hey, baby" Alvina says coming up to the two of them. "Who's your friend?" She asks titling her head while giving the girl a not so friendly look.
"Uh, Vina this is Anna" Jeremy introduces clearing his throat while shifting closer to his girlfriend. "Anna, this is my girlfriend, Alvina"
"Oh, nice to meet you" Anna says slightly dishearteningly. Anna holds out her hand politely but Alvina just gives her a tight lipped grin.
"I'm sure it is" Alvina deadpans. Anna slowly lowers her hand and fidgets. Alvina knew this 'Anna' is a vampire and Anna knew Alvina is a fairy. Anna didn't know Jeremy was involved with a fairy, if she had, she would have been more careful knowing how deadly a fairy's bite is.
"Well, I've got everything I need, if you're ready to go" Jeremy says glancing at Alvina wanting to leave.
"Yeah, I'm ready if you are" Alvina nods rubbing his back soothingly. Jeremy calms down with her touch. "Nice meeting you... sort of, not really" Alvina shrugs as Jeremy stands.
"Yeah, back at ya" Anna says awkwardly. Alvina hums before grabbing Jeremy's hand and pulling him out of the library.
"I don't want to be that girlfriend but I don't want you around her" Alvina says as they walk over to Stefan's Porsche. "She's a vampire, what was she talking to you about?"
"We were talking about our ancestor's and vampires" Jeremy tells her truthfully. Alvina looks at him curiously.
"What does she want?" Alvina asks.
"I don't know, we weren't talking that long before you got there" Jeremy says. Alvina slowly nods as they slip into the car. "And you don't have to worry about being that girlfriend" Jeremy assures her. "I didn't want to talk to Anna but she wouldn't exactly take the hint."
"Because you have something she wants" Alvina tells him driving down the road. "If you see her anywhere near you again, tell me"
"I will" Jeremy said reaching her her hand. "Relax, she didn't do anything to me and she's not going too. I think you intimidate her, which is hot" He smirks. She relaxes and grins a little.
"She would be an idiot if she wasn't intimidated" Alvina says cockily.
"Yeah, you're pretty badass" Jeremy winks at her. She glances at him and squeezes his hand. "I love you" He mutters. He lifts her hand to his lips and kisses her knuckles.
"I love you more" She whispers back at him while looking back to the road.
The next few days passed quietly. Alvina continued to pester Damon about Elena who continued to ignore the fairy. Anna stayed clear of Jeremy much to Alvina's pleasure and annoyance. A part of Alvina wanted Anna to show up again so Alvina could interrogate her but at the same time was glad she didn't try to approach her boyfriend.
"What were you doing in the 1950's?" Jeremy asks as they get ready for the decades dance.
"I was only a child," Alvina told him. "I grow a lot slower than humans, remember?"
"How old were you?" Jeremy asks.
"I had the mentality of someone about 10/11 years old even though I was in my early 100's" Alvina told him. "My parents and I lived in our own world, so even though I was alive through history I never really experienced it until I went out on my own"
Jeremy nods not pushing her when it comes to memories with her parents. He knew it was difficult for her to think about and he didn't want her to relive anything that brought her pain.
"Anyways," Alvina says spinning away from the full length mirror and towards him. "How do I look?" She asks grinning.
"Absolutely beautiful" He tells her truthfully. Alvina grins widely and practically skips closer to him.
"It's been so long since I been to a dance, I'm so excited" Alvina hops in her spot. Jeremy grins at her lovingly.
"Well, then, let's get going" He says pulling her along. It wasn't long before they arrived at the dance.
"Wow, this place actually looks pretty cool" Alvina complements. He nods in agreement as the two of the take a moment to soak everything in. "Come on, let's dance!" She grins pulling him along eagerly. He laughs and lets her pull him along.
Jeremy never really considered himself a dancer but he would dance for the rest of eternity if it kept her bright smile on her face. Jeremy was positive they looked incredibly stupid but he didn't care, Alvina is having fun and that's all that mattered.
While dancing, Alvina couldn't help but to keep an eye out for Anna. She didn't want to believe that Anna would just give up. Jeremy had or knew something that the girl needed and if Alvina knew anything about vampires it's that they're stubborn bastards.
If Anna was in the crowd she never showed up. If Anna was in the crowd, Alvina knew she was waiting for an opportunity to get to Jeremy, an opportunity Alvina wouldn't give her. Her need to protect Jeremy outweighed her desire to interrogate the vampire.
"Hey" Damon says suddenly appearing beside them. Alvina ginned until she saw the serious look on his face. "You two need to leave, we're having some trouble with a vampire"
"A girl?" Alvina asks and he shakes his head.
"Some guy" Damon said. "We've got it handled but he threatened to go after Jeremy, take him back to our place not theirs"
"Ok" Alvina nods instantly. "Call me if you need me" She says seriously.
"We'll be fine, go" Damon urges and Alvina nods pulling Jeremy out of the school.
"Wait, what about Elena?" Jeremy asks.
"She has both of the Salvatore's protecting her, trust me, she's in good hands" Alvina assures him. "Let's go" Alvina pleads. Jeremy sighs but nods following her to the car. Jeremy opens the door for her and she goes to climb in but notices Anna in the distance.
"Let's just go" Jeremy says noticing Anna as well. Alvina wanted to follow her but Jeremy grabs her arm lightly. "Let's go home" He whispers pleadingly. Alvina looks at him and gives in. She smiles and nods kissing his cheek before entering the car.
Once Jeremy and Alvina arrived at the Salvatore house Jeremy could tell Alvina was distracted. She kept looking out into the woods and he could tell she wasn't completely with him.
They both climbed out of Stefan's Porsche and walked up to the boarding house. While Jeremy walked right in, Alvina was a little more hesitant.
Alvina could sense Anna in the woods and she wanted nothing more than to go find her. She wanted to confront her but at the same time didn't want to leave Jeremy alone. The boarding house isn't owned by a human, anyone can enter.
Damon had suggested bringing Jeremy here instead of his place which only meant a dangerous vampire had an invitation to the house. The boarding house was more secluded and would allow Alvina to defend Jeremy without the risk of being seen by nosy neighbors.
"Vina?" Jeremy asks instantly regaining her attention. "Come on" He holds his hand out for her. "You can find Anna tomorrow, stay with me" He pleaded lightly.
Alvina's posture relaxes and she gravitates towards Jeremy. He smiles and pulls her close to him the moment she places her hand in his. He kisses the top of her head as a silent 'thank you'.
Jeremy didn't like the idea of her going after Anna alone. He knew Alvina could protect herself but that didn't stop him from worrying about her. Besides, he didn't want to be left alone in such a big house.
"I love you" Alvina whispers as Jeremy sways them through the house wanting to take her mind off of Anna and keep her focused on him. He proclaims his love to her as he twirls her and pulls her back into his arms.
"Do you think Elena's alright?" Jeremy asks as they enter their room.
"Elena's just fine" Alvina assures him confidently. "Damon and Stefan are very good at protecting what they care about and for once they share a same interest, Elena" Jeremy nods silently still not knowing what to think about the whole Stefan, Damon and Elena situation. "Hey, she's fine, don't worry so much"
Jeremy smiles and pecks her lips lightly before sitting on the bed. Alvina winks at him and slowly takes off her dress. Any thought of his sister flew out of his mind as her dress slips off her shoulders.
Alvina stalked towards him with a small grin on her face. She straddled his lap. His hands graze over her sides. Her fingers begin to unbutton his shirt.
"Everything's going to be just fine, babe" She promises pressing their heads together. "Trust me"
"I do" He nods kissing her nose. Her face scrunches up making him smile. He wraps his arms around her and twists them to lay on the bed, her back on the mattress. "You're absolutely perfect" He whispers before pressing his lips onto hers while shrugging his shirt off.
"You're too good to me, Jeremy" She whispers looking into his eyes. "I love you so much and I'll never stop"
"You deserve all the love in the world" He says tucking some of her hair behind her ear.
"You're all I need in the world" She whispers back to him.
Somehow, Damon and Stefan managed to get rid of the vampire that had been invited into the Gilbert house fairly efficiently without Alvina's help, something she's surprised about. She wouldn't admit it but she was slightly jealous that Damon and Stefan were working with each other.
For the longest time it was Damon and her creating and solving problems together. Although, she couldn't be too upset seeing that she had been spending most of her time with Jeremy instead of her raven haired best friend. Of course, Damon would search elsewhere for entertainment and that meant doing things with his brother.
Alvina never had siblings, she grew up on her own. She didn't understand Damon and Stefan's bond. She didn't understand their relationship. Damon bragged about how he wanted to make Stefan miserable but they always seem to come and work together. They claim not to love each other yet some of their actions prove otherwise.
Alvina has Jeremy though. She loves Jeremy with all of her heart and couldn't be more thankful to have him in her life. She just misses causing mayhem with the older Salvatore.
Anyways, now that the threatening vampire that had been invited into the Gilbert house is gone this means that Jeremy 'moved back' into his room. Alvina had kept him to herself for as long as she could but Jeremy had to return or else Jenna would have thrown a fit.
However, the two still didn't want to be separated completely so instead of spending all of their time at the Salvatore home they just spend their time together at his place. Although, they don't get as much alone time they were still together.
"What are you guys doing?" Jeremy asks as he and Alvina enter the kitchen where Elena and Stefan are. They seemed to be looking through a box filled with old items.
"Hey" Elena greets the two of them. "Do you know what happened to Dad's old family journal?" Elena asks Jeremy.
"Johnathan Gilbert's journal?" He asks and she nods. "I just did a history report on it. I gave it to Mr. Saltzman, he wanted to see it"
"Why? What are you guys looking for?" Alvina asks.
"We're that it holds the location of an old grimoire" Stefan tells the fairy.
"Grimoire?" Jeremy asks frowning his eyebrows.
"Spell book" Alvina clarifies. Jeremy nods walking to the fridge. "Good luck looking for it," Alvina says as Elena and Stefan leave the kitchen.
"Why do they need a spell book?" Jeremy asks.
"Who knows?" Alvina shrugs. "I'm kind of out of the loop at the moment" She tells him.
"Guessing I have something to do with that?" Jeremy asks sheepishly. She grins and walks over to him.
"You're the best distraction" She tells him before pecking his lips.
Eventually, Damon came by deciding the hang out with them. When he showed up he filled Alvina in on what was going on. How Stefan and Elena were helping him get Katherine out of the tomb, which sounded fishy to Alvina but she kept her opinion's to herself. She could already see the hesitance in Damon but also the hope in his eyes that he could actually trust his brother. She prayed Stefan wasn't stupid enough to go against Damon.
"You said you never played this thing before" Jeremy complains as Damon kicks his ass in the video game the two were playing. Alvina smiles at the pair of them happy to see them getting along.
"I'm a fast learner, quick reflexes" Damon smirks as he continues to dominate.
"Don't let him fool you, Jeremy, video games is one of his only talents" Alvina tells Jeremy. Damon rolls his eyes shaking his head while Jeremy grins.
"Better than you" Damon tells her.
"Well, I would hope you would be better than me" Alvina says. "Between the two of us, who spent a consecutive decade playing video games while I lived a life" Damon scoffs.
"You don't have a life"
"I have more of a life than you do" Alvina argues. Damon scoffs again.
"That's not saying much" Alvina rolls her eyes. It wasn't much longer before Stefan arrived meaning Damon's attention was no longer on the video game, much to Jeremy's annoyance.
"Let's see what you got, pretty boy" Alvina says taking Damon's spot.
"You like playing video games?" Jeremy asks her.
"Depends on who I'm playing with" She says winking at him. He grins giving her a quick kiss before the two went at it. It only seemed like a few minutes, but it was actually a few hours, before Damon reappeared in front of them.
"Dude!" Jeremy snapped as Damon turns the game off.
"What the hell, I was kicking his ass!" Alvina shouted.
"Babe, you were losing" Jeremy tells her.
"I was about to make a come back" Alvina said obviously. Damon rolls his eyes.
"I've seen you play, come back isn't in your dictionary" Damon tells her before looking at Jeremy. "Johnathan Gilbert's journal, who did you tell?"
"What?" Jeremy asks.
"Look, I need that journal to help me find a grimoire" Damon says which is something they already knew. "You said it was with Alaric, it's not, who else did you tell?"
"Uh, I told Anna about it" Jeremy said.
"You talked to Anna?" Alvina growled giving him an annoyed look. Jeremy pales slightly.
"This was in the library when I first met her" He explains quickly. She nods still annoyed but trusts him.
"Wait, who's Anna?" Stefan asks.
"Some vampire that thought she could hang around my boyfriend" Alvina growls feeling both annoyed and protective.
"Could you find her? Point her out?" Damon asks and Alvina nods.
"Great, I'll drive" Damon says moving towards the door.
"If we want to get there before nightfall, I'm driving" Alvina says following after him.
"You driving my car is not gonna become a regular thing" Damon warns her. Alvina smirks deviously.
"We'll see" She says under her breath. "You, stay here" She says pointing to Jeremy before he could leave the house.
"What? I wanna come with you"
"I don't want you anywhere near Anna, something about all of this isn't adding up" Alvina explains to him. "I don't know what's gonna happen if she spots us and I don't want you in any dangerous situation. Stay in the house, I won't be long, please"
"Fine" Jeremy reluctantly gives in. She smiles and kisses him lightly before leaving with Damon to find Anna.
"Just like old times" Alvina winks at Damon hopping into the car. He smirks climbing in as well before driving to the center of town.
"So, where is she?" Damon asks looking around.
"Let's get a drink" Alvina says walking towards the Grill. Damon follows behind her.
"Sure you're old enough to be drinking?" Damon asks smirking. She gives him a look.
"Get the drinks old man" She says sitting on the bar stool. Damon grins but does as told.
"So, where do you think she is?" Damon asks.
"Well, if I was trying to find a teenage boy in a small town I'd go to a hot spot" She says eyeing Anna by the pool table. Damon glances at Alvina before following her gaze.
"I know her" Damon mutters. Alvina looks at him. "She was a vampire when I was human"
"Well, she's going to be a dead vampire if she keeps trying to corner Jeremy" Alvina grumbles grabbing the drink.
