Process of Creation:

When I first read the prompt, in my mind I already formed the base of what I wanted my cover to look like. I knew I needed a forest background (Obviously).  What took me the longest time was debating whether to use gold or silver as the font colour. Believe it or not, it took me 2 hours of alternating between different shades of both gold and silver. In the end, gold stood out the most so I went with that. 

Another difficulty I experienced was figuring out the right font. Now, for me font is like a very big deal. I believe that no matter how flawless the cover design is, if you don't use the right font, you can ruin the entire graphic. Of course different people have different opinions. Many might even disagree with me. So I knew I wanted to use a calligraphy font. But I got really confused because nearly  every font I tried, looked horrible. So I asked my sister for help. I consider her opinions a lot when it comes to designing as she surprisingly offers good ones. So I ended up using  Brack Script font which was recommended by my sister. So...shoutout to sister! 

Shading the text didn't take as long as I thought it would. Honestly, Ibis Paint X is a lifesaver!

What inspired me to do the border was that the cover looked really empty without it. It felt as if something was missing. So I just thought 'Hey how about I try adding a border?' Making the border wasn't that hard. I just needed a template and using that draw some patterns, colour and shade and voila! We ended up with that border right there! (Doesn't it look absolutely marvelous!!)

And yeah that's pretty much it. After that it was just a matter of adjusting the lighting, hue, saturation and colour balance. Adding some sparkles in the background and we're done!

So sorry if I was rambling. I had no idea how much fun it was to talk about my creation until I started to. Hehe.
