"Shh, baby please don't cry, we have to be quiet baby." With my back up against a tree, I attempt to quiet my baby brother. Holding him close to my chest, I rock him gently while rubbing his back. After another minute he moves back looking up at me with wide teary eyes.

"Sissy, why are they following us? Where's mommy and daddy?" He rubs his eyes getting all teared up at the thought of our missing parents.

I frown, shaking my head, and rubbing away his tears. " I don't know baby, we have to figure that out. We can't stay here. We have to keep moving." I take a deep breath while looking around at our surroundings. "We need a place to hide, which is why I need to ask you to use your gift..."

He looks a little taken back and quickly shakes his head, showing me how uncomfortable he is with the idea. "But-but mommy said I'm not ready..." He looks down at his hands, playing with the small crystal necklace mom gave him.

"I know...I know you feel as though your not ready, and it may be a lot for you to take in, but you have to try. I just need you to focus your senses on a safe place we can hide. I know you can do it..." I grab my own crystal necklace and place it next to his, they light up slightly, bathing us in a warm comforting light.
