Chapter 8

Althea Garcia Hela Silvermoon

His name repeated over and over in my head. Yet another name without a face. But even if I saw him, would I know? Would I have a part of my memory back? I guess I'll know if I meet one of them.

"You seem a little too curious about him." Matt eyes me.

"I don't know but his name sounds somehow familiar. Although I cannot remember anything." I look down and place both my hands on the either side of my temple and start massaging it. My head was starting to hurt again.

"Okay, you need to relax." I look up at him. "You'll meet him soon anyways. No need for all these overthinking." He gives me a small smile as I nod my head. He was right there was no need to think about that. Time will soon reveal everything.

I hope.

After having the filling lunch, Matt left me with Natalie as he had work to do. I felt guilty for keeping him with me for this long.

Natalie gave me a tour of the place. It will take some for me to remember where everything was. She also showed me to a bedroom that I was going to be sleeping in. And that's the only thing I remember out of the whole tour. The way to my room.

I was thankful but felt sorry at the same time. They didn't even know me, but they showed kindness to me for whatever I might have done in my previous life. I must have done something good.

Now we walked out the door that lead outside to an open field where I saw a bed of red roses. Dark red, like it was painted with blood itself. It made my heart ache as we walked past. It made me feel sad for some reason. I wanted to if it had a story of its own.

But my thoughts were forgotten as we made our way towards the training field where many men and women alike seemed to be sparring. They each looked strong and equally vicious. Soon my sadness turned into fear upon seeing them.

And when we walked by them, all their eyes fell on us. On me. And right this moment I wanted to hide. All this attention was making my heart rate go higher. I felt nervous as I held my head down. My palms were getting sweaty. And I did the only thing that could save me from their gaze, I stepped behind Natalie and hid myself.

"Oh, come on. They don't bite." She chuckled. "Hmm. Well, they do bite but trust me they won't." And that did nothing to calm me. It only added more fear in my brain as my body started to shake in reflex. I tightly gripped her shoulders from behind for support. I did not trust my wobbly legs to support my equally unstable body right now.

I think Natalie noticed my discomfort as she shouted. "Okay guys, come on, get back to whatever you were doing. There's nothing to see here."

Her voice held this command, an authority of some sort. I peeked through her shoulder as I saw them continue with their training. I let out a breath that I had been holding till now. But stopped as soon as I heard a chuckle.

I saw a huge muscular man, making his way towards us. This made me let go of Natalie and take a few steps back. He seemed to notice my obvious fear as he stopped and raised his arms up as if in surrender.

But Natalie walked up to him and wrapped her arms around him. He held her tightly now and leaned down to peck her lips as I awkwardly looked away before I looked back to them.

Natalie turned around to face me as the man wrapped his arms around her belly and was lightly rubbing it. I don't know why but it made me relax a little and I stopped shaking as I stood straighter.

I saw love in his eyes for her. And the way he held her was as if he was protecting her and their child. A warm feeling washed over me at this scene and something took over my mouth as I looked at his hand over her bump with a smile clear on my face. It wasn't me who spoke these next words.

"Soon you are going to be blessed with a beautiful little girl."

They both had their eyes wide. Natalie turned around to see the man as he too looked down at her. Then they finally turned back to me. "What?" Natalie asked me shocked.

Then I came back to myself. What happened to me? It's like something took over my body. "I-I..." I was as speechless as them by what I just said.

"Wait, how do you know it's going to be a girl? Even we don't know the gender." Natalie squinted her eyes as she looked at me suspiciously.

"A g-guess..." I don't know how else to explain the situation right now.

"Wow, the way you said it, I really did believe your words for a second though." She sighed as she too placed her hands on top of his, on her small bump. "We'll see. Very soon." She smiled looking down.

The man placed a kiss on the side of Natalie's head. Then his eyes came to meet mine and he gave me a bright smile. "I hope what you say comes true. Thank you." Natalie too looks at me and smiles.

I don't know why but just then I saw someone else in their place, a tall man and a woman with long black hair, both their faces covered by the dark shadows. He stood behind her as he rubbed her small bump and showered her with light kisses all over her head.

I wanted to be closer to them so I could see their faces, but I couldn't move. The feelings that I felt by looking at them were of pure joy. I was happy to see her in his arms. But who was this man? Who was this woman with him? Why can I not see their faces? I so desperately want to-

I felt someone shake my shoulder lightly and I'm back. I look at a worried Natalie who was now standing right in front of me. "Are you okay?" I just nod my head.

"Good." She smiles and looks at the man with blond hair and brown eyes. He was very good looking too. "Anyways meet my mate, Tray. Tray, this is..." Then she swings her head back to look at me with her brows scrunched together. "Wait. I don't even know your name."

My name? That again. Who was I? I wanted to know that more than anyone right now.

"Never mind, let's just call you Luna for now until we can think of something else." She smiles and shrugs.

"Luna?" Tray repeats the word again as he looks at Natalie for answers.

But she just smiles at me as she says. "I heard that the Alpha found his second chance mate." Tray's eyes go wide with realisation as he turns his head over to me. But I still don't know what was going on.

Who was this Alpha they kept talking about? Who was his mate? Second chance? What does that mean? I saw Tray slightly bend his head down to me. He then lands a kiss on Natalie's head. "I'll see you later."

He looks at me again after he lets go of Natalie. He once again, he bends his head a little almost as if he's bowing to me. Why? Then he says one word before he walks away, towards the training field.

"Luna."
