(Sans's POV)

I woke up to the sounds of voices. I felt something warm around my shoulders and legs. I cracked open one of my eyes to see Grillby yelling orders to someone, but I couldn't hear him. He looks down and sees that I'm awake. He starts to talk to me, but I'm too tired to listen.

-(que spondgebob voice: one hour later)

The first thing I'm aware of is the heat that I'm pressed up against. This time, I open both my eyes to see Grillby still clutching me to his chest. I moved my arm slightly to let him know I'm awake. Grillby jerks and looks down at me. I can see tear tracks on his face, where his flames are out. For a second he just stares at me, and then he squeezes me closer, mumbling to himself. "Please please please don't ever do, that again", he loudly whispers. I'm a little confused. "Do w-what again?" Is said in a hourse voice. "You don't remember?" Grillby asks with panic and disbelief. I slowly shook my head. Grillby just stared at me before wordlessly drawing out my soul. My green heart now had a small shard of blue. The same blue as Zeke's soul.

(Grillby's POV)

Sans burst into tears. I pulled him into a sitting position and held him while he cried for his brother. I rubbed slow circles on hi back. Now wasn't the time to tell him about the king and queen. King Gaster, no, my friend, was killed by a second human. Night-Bird soon following. Somehow, Papyrus had killed the first human, and ran back to the castle, witnessing his mother's death. He had killed that human too, and locked himself in his room. Both of the humans had killed monster after monster, and now I fear for Papyrus. Killing someone with a lot of LV would give that person even more LV. With Papyrus at such a young age, all that LOVE could leave a permanent mark on his soul. But I didn't voice any of my concerns to Sans. He'll find out about his parents later.

I watch Sans slowly fall back asleep. His soul bonding with Zeke's soul shard could of killed him, but it just left him weak for now. That must mean that Zeke kept Sans alive after their souls combined. Sans might be able to talk or interact with Zeke, but that is a very rare thing. I still can't believe that he's dead, too. All the death that happened today, will leave a scar on the Underground I'm sure.

I gently unwrap Sans from my neck, and lay him down on his bed. I really need to check on Papyrus. Gaster would want me to take care of them. I felt another tear slide down my face. I have known Gaster and Night-Bird for my hole life. My last living best friends. We had fought in the war together. They were their for me when my daughter, who was a defender in the royal guard, died to the humans. That event caused me to protect Sans, Papyrus, and Zeke even more.

When I reach Papyrus's room, I gently knock on the door. No answer. I knock again, but this time with more force. No answer. I grab the door knob, and finding it is unlocked, throw open the door. Papyrus is gone. I feel panic wrap around my soul. I start sprinting through the halls calling out for Papyrus. I can't lose another one. No, I won't lose another. I run through the entire west wing, searching for Papyrus. That's when I hear yelling. I can hear Papyrus's naturally loud voice speaking to some other monsters. It sounds like he's mad. Oh no.

I round a corner to see Papyrus arguing with a couple of the royal guards. "IT'S ALL OF YOUR FAULTS FOR MY FAMILY GETTING KILLED! YOU ALL JIST STOOD THERE AND WATCHED!" Papyrus screams these words at the guards. "Sir, um, there was nothing we cou-", one of the Garuda started, but was interrupted by Papyrus. "NO! NO EXCUSES. WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE IF YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT!? YOU WIL ALL PAY FOR HOW THEY ALL DIED!", He then storms past me and back to his room.

We need a plan. Papyrus's soul is justice, an with all the LV he gained, it's making him think that the people need punishment. Papyrus doesn't know that Sans survived the human, because I had taken him strait to his room. Running up the guards, I quickly explain my idea. They didn't know it, but by birth right, Sans was the next king, not Papyrus. But Papyrus was going crazy from grief and the need for revenge. Me and as many monsters we could convince on the way, are going to take Sans to the ruins, until he is old enough to take back his throne. Papyrus's plan to punish the people for letting his family die, will not last forever.

I went back to Sans's room, picking him up. He was thankfully still asleep. I run out of the palace, with a few royal guards accompanying me. The guards gather their children, and anyone else who would come. But we only asked those we thought would agree. We needed to keep this a secret. We run all through new home, hotlands, waterfall, even Snowdin. We run through the woods heading to the one place I know we won't be found. The journey took several days, but we managed to stay hidden throughout the journey. The royal scientist and his daughter journeyed with us. The daughter, Alphys, was a few years older then Sans, and was very smart. She had designed a robot, that could be possessed by a ghost monster, and act as a physical body. She helped my by keeping Sans asleep. I didn't want him to wake up till we got to the ruins. He won't understand why we all left. Hopefully he will one day, so he can make things right.
