Chapter 3: Training

Elsa's POV

"Elsa? Elsa~ Time for lunch!" I was shaken awake. I got up and sat at the edge of the bed, "Coming" I yawned

I walked out of my room to the dining hall. Everyone was there. And by everyone, I mean the whole family was already sitting at the dining table. "Elsa! Come sit" Cara gestured to sit next to her. Keeping my eyes down the whole time, I walked towards the empty seat on the rectangular table. The mouth-watering dishes smelt as aromatic as it looks. However, I can't help but to feel the tense atmosphere surrounding the table.

I finally looked up to see the people around. Other than Jack, Cara and Granny, there were two people who I wasn't familiar with. The one who was sitting on my other side had blond hair in a braid. She had big emerald-green eyes and light freckles on her cheeks. Based on her looks, she doesn't resemble anyone on the table. Maybe she is not related to them? Or maybe from an extended family? Another one was a girl with almond-brown eyes with freckles too. She had straight long brown hair just like Cara. She was sitting in between Jack and the blondie.

"Elsa, let me introduce you to these two young girls. This is Emma. Cara and Jack's little sister." Granny smiled as she moved her arms towards the girl with brown hair. As soon as Emma and I made eye contact, she huffed and looked away. Wow, I see where she gets her character from.

"And this, this is Anna." The girl with green eyes waved excitedly as her eyes sparkled. I smiled back and waved shyly

"Anna... is your blood related sister." Cara continued

My eyes widened as the both of us stared into each other's eyes. Anna had a worried look on her face. She bit her lip and looked downwards to avoid eye contact.

"Anna doesn't have powers. Just like both of your parents. Emma too. So they learn healing manually to help injured casualties such as from the armies. But you, you are different Elsa. You have powers, just that it hasn't been awaken." Cara explained

"Why is it that I have powers when both my parents don't?" I asked

"Your parents may not have powers, but your grandpa does." Granny replied. "Besides, don't forget. Remember I told you that Jack didn't have powers too? Some people are just granted with powers if they are fated too, doesn't have to be from the genes." Cara continued

I sighed. Things are starting to get complicated again

"Since you have similar powers are Jack, he will be training you until your powers awaken." Cara smiled

"Jack? Train me?" I glanced at Jack

"Hey! Be grateful okay! Thanks to you he can't do his duties effectively! Jack doesn't train just anybody okay!" Emma furrowed her eyebrows in annoyance.

"Emma! How could you say that to the princess. Elsa don't mind her. She's just a kid." Granny comforted me

"No no I'm sorry. Its my fault. What she said was right. I'll go with what has been planned" I tried to smiled

Lunch went on as usual, it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. Anna was very friendly and talkative trying her best to get to know more about me. Questions like "what is it like in the other world?" "do they look like aliens or monsters there?" "what are pizzas? are they edible?" Literally the most random questions you can think off.

After lunch, I was about to return to my room to rest but stopped my tracks when I noticed there were two feet in front of me. I felt a cold, tall figure in front of me. I slowly lifted my head to see. It was Jack. His fierce blue eyes locked into mine as I gulped in fear.

"Tomorrow, 7:30a.m. outside. Don't be late. Or else." Jack said sternly as he walked away from me. And at that moment, all I could think of was... SOMEBODY SAVE ME FROM THIS COLD BEAAAST T-T

"Urgh.." I lifted my head from my soft tempting pillow. What time is it? 7:00 a.m? 30 minutes before I have to meet Jack for training, I think I'll make it in time. As I opened the door, what a coincidence, the door in front of me opened at the same time. It was Jack. He looked like he just woken up too with his messy silver hair in his blue hoodie.

"Oooh Elsa and Jack look like they have couple hoodies on!" Anna whispered but loud enough for the both of us to hear. I looked at my clothes to realized I was also wearing a baby blue hoodie, also a shade of blue. Jack rolled his eyes before closing the door to his room again. Rude! Rushing to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth, washed my face, took a cold shower to wake myself up more and quickly changed into my black training attire that was borrowed to me by Cara. Time check, its 7:28 a.m. now, just on time. This is it, my first day of training with the cold tiger starts now! Carrying my bag, I opened the door and walked towards the living room with determination. Jack sitting on the coach with his arms crossed, waiting for me.

"Wow, you're lucky you're right on time." Jack said as he got up and headed towards the door

"Wait!" Granny stopped us before we went out. "Here, take this sandwich with you. You can't train on an empty stomach! Jack already ate, you can eat along the way" Granny handed me a brown paperbag with sandwiches. I smiled and thanked her before rushing out of the door to keep up with Jack. Stuffing the sandwiches into my mouth.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I follow him from behind. "You'll see" he said as he picked up his speed. By now, I'm already jogging trying to keep up to him. Man, will being a little more considerate kill him?

We hiked up a mountain which wasn't very steep. But still, it a tough journey for me given that Jack has long legs. The cold morning air was getting colder every step we hiked. To my surprise, there was snow by the time we reached our destination. My mouth was shaped into an 'O' looking at the sight of the magnificent scenery and. I was a spacious area covered with snow. There was a medium sized frozen lake and a small wooden hut at the side with a chair and table outside. But what I was most fascinated of was a huge snowflake ice sculpture in the middle. Whoa.

My train of thoughts were cut off when I felt a strong gush of cold wind behind me. Jack was flying! He was spinning around in thin air, flying around trees, hitting snows from leaves falling to the ground before slowly landing on his back with his hands behind his head. It must thrilling being able to fly like that.

"Saw that? Now, if you wanna be able to control your powers, you first gotta be strong physically and mentally. For example, see how I made you hike up the mountain? I could've easily fly us up here, but I wanted to see how strong your stamina was and lets just say, we've got a lot of work to do." Jack explained and rolled is eyes

Its true, I was never the type to do exercises. Even in physical education, I tend to slack off every chance I get. "I'll do whatever you ask me to, I'll try the best as I can! So, whats your command, trainer?" I said in determination. Hoho, I knew I made a mistake by saying that the minute I saw him smirk.

Jogging, push up, sit ups, lunges, burpees. You name it. He's been screaming KEEP GOING! the whole time as 'motivation'. Reminder that I am HORRIBLE at exercises and this is the most I have ever exercised in a day in my entire life. My body is definitely going to kill me tomorrow. I plopped myself on the fluffy white blanket of snow as I did my last lap of exercise, panting my lungs out like crazy. Thankfully, a man who seemed to be Jack's friend appeared carrying a paperbag. Thank you kind man for helping me stall Jack from monitoring me, I can finally rest now T-T

"Special delivery!" the man with brown hair exclaimed as he ran jumped onto Jack while rubbing onto his head.

"You must be the princess. I'm Hiccup, I'm one of the Guardians as well! Here's lunch, Granny got me to send it up here" the man introduced. In this era, there is a person who's name is actually Hiccup? Thats.. interesting.

"The Guardians? What's that?" I asked curiously

"You don't know? We're the ones keeping the peace and wellbeing from this place. Of course, there're more of us. I'm sure Anna would introduce more of them to you soon. No rush, today is your first day of training anyway" Hiccup said in a friendly way

"Hey, you have 30 minutes to eat. In 30 minutes, we'll continue training. Hiccup and I have something to discuss." Jack said

"Sir yes Sir!" I said in excitement. I'm so glad I finally get to eat, and rest! I'm starving!"

Jack's POV

Its been a long day and they are finally done with everything planned. From physical training in the morning to learning self defense, Elsa was exhausted to the max. According to her, the first thing she did when she reached home was to drop everything and dip herself in warm water to soothe her sore muscles. She was so tired to the point her head was bobbing on the dinner table.

"Elsa, just hang in there okay? You can sleep right after you finish your meal!" Anna was worried

"Jack! What did you do! How could you tire her to this point?" Granny scolded me

"N-nah, its fine. Its just that I'm not strong enough. Jack is just trying to make me improve myself better. I'll bbe watching 'How to train your powers for kids' on the television later to pick up some details if you don't mind." said Elsa

Everyone opposed to her idea just by seeing how tired she is. But of course, Elsa's such a stubborn bull she insisted on staying up. I continued having my meal and proceeded into my room to go through paperworks that I've missed the past few days.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hours have passed, feeling thirsty, I decided to get a glass of water from the kitchen.
As soon as I opened the door to walk towards the kitchen, I heard the television was still turned on. Elsa was lying on the couch, sleeping. Its currently 10:51, just how long has she been trying to stay awake? I proceeded to fill my glass with water and made my way back to my room. But.. its late now. Do I let her lie on the couch the whole night? The training was intense, sleeping on the couch would make her body ache even more.
I sighed.
Opening the door, I went back out and stood right in front of her. Do I wake her up? What should I do? I turned off the television before lightly tapping onto her shoulders.
"Elsa.. Elsa..?" I tried to wake her up but to no avail. Sigh.
Without must thought, My arms made way under her shoulders and her knees and swooped her up. I slowly walked towards her room and gently lay her down on her bed before covering her with her blanket. Troublesome. I'm only doing this so she doesn't complain during training tomorrow. She should've listened to others when they asked her not to push herself too hard. But I guess, thats really thoughtful of her to put much effort into what she does. I smiled
Thank goodness everyone was asleep. I walked back to my room and continued checking my paperworks before heading to sleep.
Little did he know, Emma was behind the door watching everything that happened
