This takes place after 4 months of Rose's shapeshifting. Which means Steven is 4 months. And an alternate situation on the episode "Three Gems and a baby".

There's a snowstorm at Beach City. Vidalia (sorry if i spelt it wrong ) was on a vacation on Florida Island with Sour Cream. Greg asked if he and Steven could stay for a bit in her house, and she said yes.

The gems, Spinel, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl stopped by to drop some gifts for Steven, Greg lets them inside the house. "So how's little rose?" Amethyst said. Garnet starts to say, "Remember what we talked about Amethyst. Rose is a gem and Steven is..?" "A human.." Amethyst said while being disappointed. After that, The Gems started to give Steven some gifts. Although, there gifts were a bit unusual for the harmless hybrid, they still didn't stop thinking of Rose even if it was only four months ago.

Spinel, was amazed of the baby. She liked how it was cheerful and playful, like her. When Spinel accidentally makes Steven laugh, Steven's gem glows.

"The gem!" Pearl says in a high tone.

(Greg) : "W-What's going on??"

(Spinel) : "I-Is it Rose..?"

(Pearl) : "Spinel, you might be on to something!-"

(Amethyst) : "I get it guys! Rose is trying to shapeshift back into herself!"

(Greg) : "W-What?!"

(Pearl) : "ROSE! IT'S ME PEARL, ARE YOU IN THERE?! GLOW TWICE FOR YES!"

(Garnet) : "Everyone. We need to get Rose out of here."

Everyone else nodded.

(Amethyst and Pearl) : "Right."

They went outside where the van was,

(Garnet) : "Over there!"

The four gems along with the harmless hybrid baby went inside the van, Garnet sat on the driver's seat making her drive, while Pearl, Amethyst and Spinel are with the baby.

(Amethyst) : "Ok Rose, we saw your gem glow, now can you shapeshift back?"

Pearl immediately took the hybrid baby from Amethyst's purply hands and held it close to her chest.

(Pearl) : "But she can't shapeshift because she's trapped in a baby!"

(Spinel) : "Hey Pearl, why don't we just calm dow-"

(Pearl) : "DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN WHEN THE TOPIC IS ABOUT ROSE?!"

Spinel's eyes shrunk in shock, Pearl had just reminded her of her best friend. She finally stopped mourning over Rose and now she suffered inside for months just to have Pearl remind her of Rose..?

(Spinel) : "Don't think that because Rose was my best friend, i'd still remember her every single day! We all need to accept that she's gone! Gone for goo-"

Pearl looked at Spinel with a terrifying, creepy face. It was the same face Pearl did when Rose first disappeared. And the same face Pearl did when.. They were 'still' serving Pink. Garnet finally decided to talk.

(Garnet) : "Everyone. Stay on line, we don't have much time before there's a dead end.

Pearl and Amethyst started searching the hybrid's gem, or Rose's gem, trying to figure out  why the gem glowed. Spinel started saying something,

(Spinel) : "Garnet! There's no point of taking the baby, It's father's just gonna get it soon enough. And can't you see? Rose. Is. Gone.."

Pearl looked at the heart gem with silence, a not so good silence.

(Pearl) : "How CAN YOU SAY THAT SPINEL?! SHE WAS YOUR FUCKING BEST FRIE-"

Garnet stopped her with her hand up, signaling Pearl to stop talking. (fun fact, i kinda putted 'TO SHUT THE FUCK UP' first than 'to stop talking', lawl =w=)

(Garnet) : " She is right, it is not healthy to keep on obsessing with Rose's fate, so there's no point of taking Steven."

(Amethyst and Pearl) : "But Garnet!-"

Garnet looked at them, making the two gems already knowing that it was time to shut up.
Garnet stopped the van, recklessly -_-...and letting Greg inside. Then, Greg spoke,

(Greg) : "My baby!"

Pearl had a very upset face, Amethyst was looking the other way and had her arms crossed, Garnet had her usual blank expression but still sad on the inside, And Spinel, was holding the hybrid baby very close. So close, that the baby doesn't even wanna let go of her, and when Greg got the baby, it cried. it cried so hard that Greg dropped the hybrid. It was a good thing that Spinel catched Steven before it rolled down the van's ground.
Then, the baby stopped crying. Everyone had their eyes shrunk.

(Greg) : "Well... looks like Steven wants to stay you, Spinel."

Spinel giggled. Happy to know that the baby likes her there.

A few years passed and Steven and Spinel grew up together, being very close , But little do they know, There's something coming up for them afterwards...
