(Third Person P.O.V)

The full moon shone brightly down upon the nighttime festival. The sky was beautiful, stars drifted across the clear sky, it was just peaceful.

A light pink blush crept upon Cole's face, (Y/N) looked absolutely gorgeous in her ebony kimono. The hem and collar were lined with sparkling silver, fine silk.

As Cole stood there admittedly drooling over (Y/N).

Cole thought about how he would have to thank Nya for choosing to dress (Y/N) in his customary colour instead of (Y/N)'s familiar charcoal grey.

As he and (Y/N) strolled together, as they made their way to the festival's food vendors.

(Y/N)'s hand in Cole's strong hands reassuring her that he would keep her safe.

Cole came across one of the festival's food vendors that were selling slices of cake and other baked goods to festival goers.

Of course, Cole bought some for the both of them to share.

It was a chocolate cake the dark chocolate flakes on top of the cake's icing were a bit bitter but it balanced out the sweetness of the warm cake making it rather delightful in Cole opinion.

Cole had devoured his without making any mess. Cole chuckled when he looked to (Y/N) to see what she thought of the bittersweet cake.

"Is something wrong?" (Y/N) questioned innocently. "You've got a bit of something on your cheek." Cole explained to her and (Y/N) went to rub it off with the back of her sleeve but Cole stopped her.

"Allow me." Cole said and licked the chocolate icing off (Y/N)'s cheek. (Y/N)'s face went as red as Kai's ninja suit though she didn't understand why.

As Cole finished licking off the last bit of the bittersweet chocolate icing. He looked down and noticed that (Y/N)'s face went dark red and that her expression was one of great confusion.

"What was that...?" (Y/N) questioned herself, panicking as she did.

"Cole?! W-What are you doing?!" (Y/N) asked Cole her face still burning from the contact.

"It's ok, (Y/N)." Cole reassured her with a warm smile.

"It's just something cute and affectionate, people do because they love someone. Nothing to be afraid of." Cole said hugging her tightly to him. Almost flattening (Y/N)'s plate with her piece of chocolate cake on it.

Having no choice but to oblige, (Y/N) fell silent in Cole's embrace.

"He's too close... I-I don't like this!" (Y/N) thought as she struggled to keep herself calm and not to lash out against Cole.

They were so close in fact, that (Y/N) could feel Cole's heartbeat as it drummed a frenzied rhythm...

"Is he... unsettled by this too...?" Thinking fast (Y/N) quickly blurted out: "Would you like the rest of my chocolate cake?" In hopes of getting Cole to let go.

It worked as Cole quickly smiled and (Y/N) took that to mean yes.

(Y/N) quickly scooped up the last piece of the chocolate cake with her spoon and pointed the spoon to Cole who happily took a bite.

"Hmmm, so good." Cole said with a mouth full of cake. Cole looked into (Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes and got lost in them.

Cole snapped out of his daydream and swiftly tugged on (Y/N)'s kimono, placing his lips against hers.

Passion fuel Cole's actions, now, his heart thumped fiercely in his chest. Liquid euphoria coursed through his bloodstream. The feel of (Y/N)'s lips unquestionable gratifying.

Cole became enamoured and instantly addicted to the taste of (Y/N)'s lips—a divine blend of sweet and bitter.

He craved for more. He ached for more. He wanted her. He needed her.

(Y/N) abruptly turned her head away from Cole, effectively breaking the kiss. Both panted breathlessly, their cheeks doused a delicate crimson.

Cole let out a heavy exhalation. "So much better than cake." Cole appeased comparing their kiss to the cake.

Deciding not to delay (Y/N) moved to escape, although Cole's strong arms came around (Y/N)'s waist pulling her back against Cole's firm, warm body.

"No..." Cole thought determined. "I don't want to miss my chance again... I want this to be every night and day after this... I'm in love with her... I'm in love with (Y/N)."

Cole's persistence deftly countered (Y/N)'s evasiveness. A now ensnared (Y/N) clenched her teeth with a growl ready to strike.

"Shhh... Just listen..." Cole pleaded the warmth of Cole's breath caressing (Y/N)'s ear.

A sharp gasp escaped (Y/N)'s lips. As Cole nuzzled her like an affectionate animal, pressing his face into (Y/N)'s (H/L) (H/C) hair.

"(Y/N). I...I need to tell you how I feel. Please?" A difficult swallow followed. "(Y/N) I'm in l—"

(Y/N) moved swiftly forward, escaping Cole's clutches and running as fast as she could.

"(Y/N)!" Cole shouted out running after her. (Y/N) was so glad that she'd worn her normal clothing under the ebony kimono, ditching the garment as she ran through the crowds.

(Y/N) continued to run through the crowds bump straight into someone. "Sorry!" (Y/N) shouted and running around whoever it was.

(Y/N) could hear Cole following after her, screaming out her name. (Y/N) made it to the other side of the festival, making it into the city.

(Y/N) sprinted down the sidewalk. There was another pair of footsteps running after her as well.

(Y/N) didn't stop she vaulted over obstacles and people in the street, something latched onto her right leg pulling her back towards the ground slam her head first against the sidewalk.

(Y/N) could feel the blood dripping down her head as the world begins to become darker and darker.

Two pairs of strong arms pulled her up before the darkness fully takes her in its cold grip.
