(Third Person P.O.V)

Alternate Kai was watching (Y/N) far away from with a sad smile on his face. "She was here, she was alive and most importantly she was safe."

Alternate Kai watched as his little sister helped (Y/N) get ready for Cole's date.

Alternate Kai could feel the tugging at his heart over this it was bitter so very bitter.

He loved her so much...

But she didn't love him...

Alternate Kai thought back to a week before... The tragedy...

It had taken him months to work up the courage to do it...

They had been sparing, It had taken quite a bit of pleading with Zane to trade partners with him so Kai could have the time with (Y/N) instead finally Zane relented and Kai got his sparing session.

And of course (Y/N) wasn't gentle when she spared with him but he didn't mind the reason he fought so much with her was because he liked the attention.

It was the only time she gave him her attention. Now all he had to do was give her one little kiss and then tell her how he felt.

Easier said then done but he did it he gave her a kiss and while she was stunned he told her how he felt...

And she turned him down... If she had been cruel or mean to him it would have hurt so much less... But no she was nice and polite and that made it hurt more.

"I don't feel the same way, Kai. So I'm going to have to say no, ok." She said in a soft and caring tone.

"W-why not." Kai's voice cracked a little when he asked that question. "It's a bad idea, Kai, in more ways then you can imagine." (Y/N) answered honestly but he didn't want to hear it.

"A-a bad idea? What is that suppose to mean?" Kai questioned tears starting to pool in his eyes.

"Kai... We wouldn't be good for one and other... We both have different ideas about everything even something like this..." (Y/N) once again answered honestly.

"D-do you not understand r-relationships like this i-if that's all it is I'll help you." He offered but (Y/N) stopped him from continuing.

"People have explained relationships to me Kai ironically they used the people around me to explain the different kinds of relationships you are talking about." (Y/N) informed him.

"(Y/N) what are you talking about? What did they say to you?" He said whipping way some of his tears.

"That explained the differences to me about dating, and being in a relationship and being married." (Y/N) said answering his questions.

"So if you understand then why can't we be together?" He questioned giving her a confused look.

"Kai... Honesty, loyalty and trust are very important to me and that is what I would want in a permanent relationship."

He still gave her a confused look and (Y/N) let out a huge sigh at this.

"Kai... That isn't you." (Y/N) started only to be interrupted. "What do you mean that isn't me!" He demanded getting angry.

"Kai..." (Y/N) said and continued what she had been saying.

"When you enter a relationship with someone you're always looking for multiple other people to be with as well; You lie and don't tell them about the others you are also with and when it becomes inconvenient to you or you get found out you dismiss them as though that were nothing and you're always showing off all your fangirls to the people you are with as if the ones you are with don't matter."

He remembered the tears running down his face. "You think I'm a player..." He said quietly as he hung his head low.

"Not just me... People used you'd you to describe what an open relationship is to me..." (Y/N) explained rubbing the back of her neck.

"Thank you for being honest, (Y/N)." He said wiping away his tears.

"But I'll prove you wrong. I'll show you that I'm loyal, honest and trustworthy and that I truly love you." Kai swore he would give up the attention given to him by his fans if it meant having (Y/N) and walked out of the training room not noticing (Y/N) shaking her head as he did.

Then a week later the tragedy happened...

The last of the criminal forces retreat then we realised (Y/N) was missing.

When we finally found her she was with a group of small children we had rushed to greet her but (Y/N) that was when I saw her cloak was drenched in blood.

When Nya, Jay and Lloyd escorted the children away he had pretending to berate (Y/N) for being so brutal in front of the others.

In truth, he'd been yelling at her for being in danger, for fighting alone without him by her side.

Than (Y/N) fell over and that was when he'd realised that it wasn't the enemies blood her clock was drenched in but her own blood.

The next part was all a blur of panic, fear and hands covered in blood. Then the noise of the heart rate monitor flatlining. It wasn't till the funeral he'd finally broke down into inconsolable sobs.

The one he loved was dead she'd died right before his eyes in someone else's arms because he was too much of a coward to hold her in her last moments as she bleed out.

Cole had gone crazy during the funeral Cole blame him for (Y/N)'s death claiming Kai was the one that pushed her resulting in her death.

Cole also went after Lloyd, Jay and Nya saying that they were in on my plan to kill her.

If Zane hadn't frozen Cole in that block of ice all four of them would have been dead... There was no question of that in Kai's mind.

But at that moment he didn't care he loved (Y/N) and now she was gone. If Cole was going to be kind enough to reunite Kai with her in the next life he'd allow it.

So when months after her funeral, Zane came to himself and Nya claiming he had a way to bring her back. They agreed on the spot and pledged their support.

And now here she was alive and well, Nya helping her socialise and Cole waiting to take her on a date.

Kai wasn't angry about it though this would be good for her a test run to help her really understand what relationships were like and when she was ready Kai would be waiting to sweep her off her feet.
