Note: Rituals I am writing in this book like tilak in engagement chapter and few others in this and upcoming chapters. These rituals are not followed in my family. The one who guided me about orthodox's life. Same person told me these rituals. So yeah I am adding these as per plot. If you find any mistake or anything like that. Pardon me and also comment down the way you know. So that others can also get to know about it

Other thing is Sid's family is open-minded. No doubt that's true but rituals are important for his family as well. So Nigam family is also following all the rituals properly. There is difference between rituals and superstitions. Don't compare these two with each other

One more thing. In previous chapter most of you are thinking dadi is changing as she allowed avu to wear wester but the fact is she didn't changed. She said avu has to do everything which Sid will ask her whether Avneet want it or not! For sid's happiness she has to do. She allowed for western because Sid want it not because avu wants it. So there is difference as well

Next Morning. At Nigam Mansion

Abhi: Sid forms for entrance exams are released today. Avneet have to attempt for her further studies in physiatry. Exams will held in a month I guess. So just inform her
Sm: Abhi, harsh anyone of you have to go to Avneet's home to give her Shagun. Who is going?
Harsh: Mom I need to go hospital for check up of Ashu and Arshiya
Abhi: Alright I will go
Sm: Hmm.... You need to go kuldevi mandir as well
Abhi (rolling his eyes): I remember at the time of harsh's wedding I did those. Firstly I need to go to her house to pick her father then we need to go to Kuldevi mandir
Sm: Good. I told about this ritual to her dadi
Abhi: Hmm...
Vaish: I am also coming with you abhi
Abhi: Fine

They had breakfast with some more talks then Harshnoor went to hospital, Abhinavi went to Avneet's home

Meanwhile at Nandra Mansion. Dadi woke up early in morning. She saw avni was sleeping

Dadi kissed her forehead and went to get ready. After sometime she got ready and went down. She did Pooja and asked servants to make breakfast. She went in avni's room and woke her

Dadi (kissing her forehead): Gudiya wake up. Bacha have breakfast then you need to take medicine

Avni nodded and dadi help her in getting ready. Without letting her feet touch on ground then she bandage her wounds again. Avni hissed in pain while bandaging. Tears roll down on her cheeks pain was really unbearable for her

After few minutes. Ad brought breakfast for all three in room only

Avni: Dad why you brought our breakfast here?
Ad (Kissing her forehead, wiped her tears): Princess you are not allowed to touch your feet on floor. How you will come down then?

Avni nodded. Ad sat feeding her. Dadi too sat with them having breakfast. They were having chit chat on random topics. After breakfast dadi gave medicine to avu

Avni laid on bed after that. Ad and Dadi sat beside her

Ad (caressing her hair): You grown so fast princess. See in next few days it's your wedding
Dadi (chuckled): Avni you know when you were 2months old. You had a bit fever. Whole day you were on Sonia's lap. At night after work your dad and dada came. Aman took you and you started crying. He was trying to calm you but you were crying only
Ad (chuckled with teary eyes): Sonia took you and you stop crying in a second. So I thought now you are calm then took you again and again you started crying
Dadi: Your dada was thinking you are crying because Aman don't know how to handle baby
Ad: That's why he scold me alot
Dadi: For almost 3hrs he got scoldings

Avni was listening each and everything carefully. She has happy tears in eyes. Servant came

Servant: Abhishek Nigam is here from Avneet Ma'am's in laws
Dadi: Okay! You go

Servant left

Ad: Maa I have to go Kuldevi mandir with Abhishek
Dadi: Hmm.... Avni bacha you take rest. I am coming in few minutes

Avni nodded. Ad and Dadi went down. They saw Abhinavi was waiting in living. Abhinavi saw them. They took blessing of Ad and Dadi

Dadi (shocked): Vaishnavi beta what you are doing here?
Abhi: Dadi, she will come with me for Kuldevi Mandir
Dadi (shocked): But beta only brothers have to do this ritual. But as Avneet don't have So, Aman will do that's why
Vaish (nervous): Oh! I am sorry I don't knew. I will take leave
Ad: No no beta. Do one thing you stay here. Anyways we will come in an hour or around
Abhi: Yaa vaishu. You stay with Avneet

Abhi and Ad left. Dadi guided vaish till avni's room. As vaish and dadi reached in avu's room. Avu was lying on bed but as she saw vaish. She quickly sat but hissed a bit. Vaish's eyes fell on avni's feet. She was shocked

Vaish (worried): Avneet what happened? Are you fine?

Avni nodded. Dadi sat beside Avneet and took her veil covering her head

Vaish: Umm.... Dadi, yesterday dad clearly said Avneet won't take veil from now so.....
Dadi (smiled): Yaa... I forgot. You two sit and talk

Vaish nodded and sat beside avu. She side hug her. Avni smiled at vaish

Dadi: Beta Vaishnavi, you are here for sometime! So I am thinking till the time I will go to buy necessary things. Actually Avneet isn't allowed to touch her feet on floor. So will you help her if she need something or you can just call servant, she will come and help her
Vaish: Yaa dadi. I am here don't worry

Dadi smiled and went from there

Vaish (cups avu's face): How all these happened bacha? You have high fever as well
Avi (nervous): Umm.... Bhabhi actually I didn't realized when I stepped on burning coal. Fever is also because of it
Vaish: Hmm... You concerned the Dr?
Avni (nodded): Yeah! Dr gave medicine
Vaish: Okay! Now you lay down
Avni: No bhabhi, I am Okay
Vaish (sternly): Avneet, I said lay down. No more arguments

Avni nodded and laid on bed. Vaish too avni's head on her lap

Vaish (caressing her hair, concern): You should be careful about it. See how badly you hurted yourself
Avni (nervous): I will be
Vaish: Good! If you didn't nah then I will slap you like this (lightly slapping her cheek)

Avni smiled at her

Vaish: Acha abhi was saying you have to attempt entrance exam for admission of physiatrist. In morning forms are issued. You need to submit it and also start your preparation for exam
Avni: Bhabhi.... ummm.... I don't want to
Vaish (shocked): Why? It's your dream, right? To be physiatrist. Then what happened?
Avni (nervous): No... nothing
Vaish: Then?

Avni was silent as she was finding some excuse

Vaish (noticing avni's silence): Are you scared of dadi? If yes then don't worry. Abhi already told her that you will continue your studies and in future too he will manage

Avni (smiled widely): I can continue my studies?
Vaish: Yes bacha. Let's get to know about each other, Okay?

Avni nodded

Vaish: So why you want to be physiatrist? Any specific reason?
Avni (biting her inner cheek): When I was 5. I was in living area with dadi. Mom was coming down from stairs but suddenly her leg slipped. She roll down from 2-3rd chair to last. She was rolling on stairs. Because of this her few muscles broke. Everyone quickly took her hospital. Dr did her surgery and tried to join the muscles back but unfortunately surgery was unsuccessful and she died

Avni was continuously biting her inner cheek to control her tears. Vaish kissed her forehead

Vaish: That's why you want to be physiatrist?

Avni nodded. Vaishneet continued talking for an hour then someone knocked the door. They saw abhi was standing at door. Avu quickly sat on bed

Abhi saw her condition. He looked at vaish with shocked. She smiled assuring him. Avni quickly took blanket covering her feets but abhi held her hand, stopping her

Avni (looking down): I am sorry sir you might be felt disgust at it. I am sorry
Abhi: No Avneet, this isn't makes us feel disgust. This make us feel proud on you. This shows us how strong you are! Baring such pain isn't easy

He said with smiled. Avni too smiled
