A Lot of Misuderstandings

“Before the era of the gods, there were chaos. Two oppossing sides existed. When the darkness started to overwhelm the world, the mother of the gods, the goddess Mitera, lead the legion of divinity and wage war to the army of darkness. She imprisoned them in the deepest part of the Underworld, since then, the world was rid of evil.” Saad ni Amara

“But that’s not true.. There is no goodness without evil. They’ve been hiding in the shadows for thousands of years now. They’re waiting to reclaim this world.” Dagdag pa ni Amara

“Yes. And it’s sad how ignorant everyone is about this.” Lance

“You cant blame the people. This world has been too peaceful lately. Even when Charmaine fought with the dragon god, it was only a moment of danger, not enough to stir awareness to the impending danger.” Amara

“The demons have been stirring troubles in the shadows. Sooner or later, this world will fall into darkness.” Lance

“It’s frustrating how people are so oblivious to this crisis.” Amara

“Yes.” Lance

“The human race is in danger.” Amara
Tumango-tango naman si Lance.

Nakanganga namang nakikinig sina  StarWolf, LoneWolf at BloodWolf sa casual na usapan ng dalawa habang kalmadong umiinom ng tsaa. Tila ba maliit na bagay lang ang pagdidiskusyon nila sa nagaganap na krisis ng mundo.

“A friend of mine once said, war could both save or destroy a race. Peace would make people live in prosperity, but ignorant of danger.  They would live in denial and would fool theirselves that the world is a safe place. They would ignore any sign of danger, afraid to destroy the illusion they live in. War is not what usually destroy a race, but peace and ignorance.” Amara

“You have a very wise friend.” Lance

“Yes.. Unfortunately, he’s been dead for 900 years now.” Buntong hininga ni Amara

“………” Lance

“Anyway, the information that I want to share with you is not that.” Amara

Lance stared at her intently.

“The Demon God has a child. Half human and half demon. She’s basically immortal.” Amara

“Child of the Demon God??” Ito ang unang pagkakataon na narinig nya ang balita

“She’s someone unpredictable. I believe she’s the mastermind behind all the troubles in the pass several hundred years.” Amara

“Do you know her?” Lance

“Yes..” seryosong tugon ni Amara… “She was my friend.”

Hindi nakatugon si Lance.

“She’s a backstabbing demoness. Her name is Accalia.” Amara

“You were friends with a demon??” curious na tanong ni Lance

“My dark past.. Ahm.. I used to be a huge headache back then.. Besides, I didn’t know that she’s a half demon.” Amara

Napangiti lang si Lance. He can already picture a rebellious her.

“Anyway, if you ever encounter her, just run away. She’s really bad news. Specially because she’s immortal and spending her time increasing her powers.” Amara

Tumango-tango si Lance.. “Thanks for the warning.”

Nakangiting ipinagpatuloy ng dalawa ang pag-inom ng tsaa.

“Ahh! I almost forgot!” Amara

“What is it??” Lance

“I think Aurio is still in the cell. He was actually with me earlier.” Amara

Agad naalala ni Lance ang binata na malapit kay Amara noong nasa Bronei pa sila.

Hindi sya masaya.

“What’s with that face? Are you jealous?” natatawang tanong ni Amara

“Yes.” He answered honestly

Amara pinched his nose.. “Stop acting cute.”

The three idiots watching this scene unfold in front of their eyes, wanted to cry. Master! You look so happy. Why? Why him??? Gods, why????!

“BloodWolf, bring the other kid in one of the guest rooms. Be nice to him.” Huling saad ni Lance bago sila magkahawak kamay na bumalik ni Amara sa kanyang silid.

Noong mawala na ang lovebirds, makikitang gumugulong-gulong sa sahig ang tatlo out of frustration..

“I just cant believe thissssss!” reklamo ni StarWolf

“Master… Our Master.. He’s so sad that he became… like that…” iyak ni BloodWolf

“We cant let anyone find out about this!! Boss’ reputation will be ruined!!” StarWolf

Si LoneWolf ang unang nakabawi sa mga nasaksihan nya.. “It’s okay guys.. I… I think it’s not that bad..”

“How is that not bad?? Boss is the last Kingston! Having a little Master is impossible now!” Frustrated na saad ni StarWolf. Hindi nya namamalayan na sinasabunutan nya na si BloodWolf out of frustration..

"He's right!... F*ck! Let go of my hair!" reklamo ni BloodWolf

“Come on.. Be more open minded… At least Master is happy…” LoneWolf

“W-well.. That’s true.. Master looks so happy.” BloodWolf

Nagbuntong hininga si StaWolf.. “I think you’re right. Master’s happiness is still our top priority.”

“That’s the Old Master’s last task to the four of us, including SilverWolf. We have to make sure that Master is always safe and happy.” LoneWolf

Tumango-tango ang dalawa…

“Anyway, I’ll go get the other kid.” BloodWolf

“Be nice to him.” Paalala ni LoneWolf

Tumango si BloodWolf bago umalis..

“Ahm….. Should I stand guard at Boss’ door??” Tanong ni StarWolf

Umiling si LoneWolf… “Don’t.. Let’s give them some privacy.”

Tumango si StarWolf.. “Good idea… I don’t really want to hear whatever they’re doing inside the room.”

Pareho silang nag-blush sa naisip.

On the other hand, two innocent people sat in a meditative position. They are facing each other inside Lance’ room.

“Hold my hands.” Saad ni Amara at agad sumunod si Lance

“Damnable’s flame is too dangerous. But I will help you guide it to circulate inside your body." Amara

“Okay.” Lance

The Icy Mountain Toxin is one of the most dangerous poison in Aralon. It’s coldness is comparable to an ice dragon’s magic. Lance has to digest Blazing Fire Pill everyday in order to suppress it’s chilliness.

Damnable’s flame can suppress the poison better than any other pill. But it’s not an antidote so it cannot completely destroy the poison.

The two stayed like that until sunrise.

“Master, breakfast is ready.” Maririnig ang boses ni BloodWolf sa labas ng pinto.

Marahang bumukas ang pintuan. Si Amara ang unang lumabas ng silid..

“My body ache.” Saad nya.. She’s been sitting like a monk from night until sunrise.

“Sorry.. It’s my fault.” Saad ni Lance na kasunod nyang lumabas ng pinto.

Hinarap sya ni Amara.. “Lance, you said it yourself, between you and me, there is no need for the word Sorry..”

Tumango si Lance..

“Besides, you’re body is probably aching too.. We stayed in that position all night.” There is worry in her eyes.

Umiling si Lance.. “Im fine.”

Makikita namang nagba-blush sa gilid si BloodWolf.. Master, what the heck are you doing all night??

Casual na umupo ang dalawa at nagsimulang mag-almusal..

“Anong problema mo BloodWolf??” LoneWolf

“I think I heard something that I shouldn’t have..” naiiyak nitong tugon

Tinapik sya sa balikat nina LoneWolf at StarWolf habang mukang naaawa.

“Arent they joining us for breakfast??” tanong ni Amara

“They wont.. Even if I ask them, they still wont join me.” Lance

“Sad.” Amara

Tumango si Lance..

“Aurio should join us.” Saad ni Amara.. Tumango si Lance.. Agad nyang sinenyasan si LoneWolf..

Hindi nagtagal ay awkward na umupo si Aurio sa mesa kung nasaan ang dalawa.

Noong makita ni LoneWolf si Aurio, pakiramdam nya ay pamilyar ang binata. Pero hindi nya maalala kung saan nya ito nakita noon.

“You have eyebags.” Puna ni Amara

“Do you think I can sleep in such a dangerous place?” Aurio

Ngumiti lamang si Amara.

“By the way, why is he here??” tanong ni Aurio sabay turo kay Lance..

“Isnt it already obvious??” Amara

“What is obvious??” Aurio

“Im really wondering what’s it feels like inside your funny little brain..” Amara

“You really have the talent in calling people stupid in creative ways.” Aurio

“Thanks for the compliment.” Amara

“Im not complimenting you though.” Aurio

Natawa lang si Amara…

“Lance, I think I havent introduce the two of you properly. This is my sworned brother, Aurio. And Aurio, this is your brother-in-law, Lance.. He’s actually our assassination target.” Pakilala ni Amara sa dalawa

Tumango si Aurio.. “Nice to meet you.. Wait… Did you just said, our assassination target??” nagtatakang tanong ni Aurio

“Aha..” Amara

“WHAT??!” agad napatayo sa upuan si Aurio

“Sit down.” Lance

“Y-yes, Sir..” kinakabahang umupo si Aurio..

“You should relax a little.” Amara

Gusto nang maiyak ni Aurio. How can he relax? This is the den of the wolves! And Phantom Emperor is right in front of him, eating breakfast!

“By the way, did they try to bribe you with money to get information about me??” tanong ni Amara kay Aurio saka casual na itinuro ang tatlong nananahimik na Lobo.

“Yes…” Aurio

Agad nagpanic ang tatlo… Whaaaaaaaaa! Mapapagalitan sila ng kanilang Master!

“Did you take the money??” tanong ni Amara

“Of course not!” may diing tugon ni Aurio… He would never betray her for money!

“Stupid. We could’ve split the money later.. You should think things through next time.” Naiiling na saad ni Amara

“……….” Aurio

“……….” StarWolf

“………..” LoneWolf

“………..” BloodWolf

Abala naman si Lance sa pagpapalaman ng tinapay para kay Amara. Wala syang naging komento. In fact, sang-ayon sya sa sinabi ng dalaga. To him, she’s always right.

“By the way, Lance, where are we going??” tanong ni Amara

“Home.” Tipid na sagot ni Lance
