This AU is meant to be connected to the Old Abysstale, where Abyss has both crystal and evolution.

Limbo!Sans is a Sans from a universe that's known as Limbotale, a universe that is one of the few strongest universes, after Alphatale.

Backstory:

Limbotale is one of the strongest universes in the Multiverse, and is the Alphaverse's answer to Abysstale. Like Abysstale, it is not a very well known universe, despite its power, and is actually very far away from some of even the less known universes, despite how strong it is. However, like Abysstale, Limbotale has a Sans that has a unique soul trait. However, it is different compared Abysstale. While Abysstale's Sans specializes in Evolution, which allows Abyss to grow stronger as time goes on, as well as age, Limbotale's Sans's soul specializes in adaptation. The Soul of Adaptaion allows Limbo!Sans to counter whatever attack it is that is trying to attack him. For example, if he is about to be submerged in lava, the Soul will force Limbo!Sans' body temperature to go down to the point where the Lava is unable to burn him. And to Limbo!Sans, his temperature will feel like it is still normal. If put into a cold environment that is strong enough to kill a monster, Limbo!Sans will simply heat up his body to the point where he won't feel the cold at all. If attacked by an electrical attack, Limbo!Sans' body will be as the same composition as non-conductive materials, such as rubber.

Sometimes, some of the attacks may also be incorporated into Limbo!Sans' body. For example, during Error's attack on Limbotale, when he wrapped his soul around Limbo!Sans' Soul of Adaptation, it reacted, and make an adaptation in using the electricity as a barrier, and the electrical current went through the strings like a copper wire, and shocked Error badly the point that he is forced to left go of Limbo!Sans' soul. And due to the fact that he lacks code, the Glitch Ray has no effect on him, and this made the fight difficult for Error, due to Limbo!Sans adaptable nature. When Error used his red strings on Limbi, his soul reacted and shut down in what would be a skeleton's equivalent of Pain Receptors, which made Limbo!Sans unable to feel pain by the red strings. And Limbo!Sans proved to be some trouble for Error404, who is the strongest of the Sanses, as well as being one of the most powerful entities in the entire Multiverse. When Error404 used his mind manipulation to try and mess with Limbo!Sans' mind, his soul created a mental barrier that is very difficult for even Error404 to get through. When he used his Blue Mastery on Limbo!Sans once, the Soul reacted and made some bony pinchers on Limbo!Sans' foot in order to stay grounded. When Limbo!Sans was hit with a God Ray First Shot, The Soul allows Limbo!Sans to keep on teleporting to avoid getting hit, and slowly began to break through the paralysis that the God Ray had given to him, which nobody else is able to actually do. Of course, Error404 decides to leave, due to the fact that the AU is wasting his time in bringing back his own, but he decides to come back and try to and take some of the code, even though Limbotale does not actually have code, as even Error404 did not know that it had existed.

Unusually, and surpassingly great, Limbotale, unlike the other Alphaverse AUs, is one of the most safe and secure AUs ever created, and is able to survive through it all, despite how extremely dangerous the entire multiverse is. Due to how defensive it is and adaptive Limbo!Sans is against any threat, thanks to his soul, this gave Limbo!Sans the motivation to protect his AU from any of the other AUs that dare try to attack it. However, that does not mean that Limbo!Sans sees all AUs as a threat, and is actually able to tell who it is that is both a threat and not a threat. For example, he once met the original Dream, the Guardian of Positivity, and both Dream and Limbo had a very nice chat, becoming Limbo's first friend from a different AU, before they were interrupted by DeadDream, a counterpart of the original Dream, and is not a good person, but is simply very evil, who tried to take Limbo to an entity named Vape, only for both Dream and Limbo to fight and force DeadDream away. After that, Dream decides to leave, but Limbo tells Dream to come back to his AU whenever he wants, and Dream agrees, with both leaving in very happy terms. Another example is when he met with CORE!Frisk, and he sees the many different versions of himself, and he even meets Abyss!Sans, with both Abyss and Limbo having a rather pleasant talk, before they both decide to part way in friendly terms, like Dream.

However, unlike Abyss, Limbo has no qualms or hesitation in taking the lives of those that dare try and destroy his home, and will do whatever he can to kill then. An example is when Ink, who had gotten the Soul of an Unnameable, having arrived in his AU and tried to consume it, only for Limbo!Sans to attack, and fight against Ink, even trying to make sure that he dies against him. The only reason that he didn't go through with it is because Error, due to wanting Ink's original self back, saved Ink from being killed by Limbo!Sans, but he swears that he will kill him.

While like Abyss, he has very few people that care for him, and the rest of the monsters of his AU feared him, due to being very freaky, thanks to the nature of his soul, due to the constant threats of the other AUs, they are forced to rely on Limbo!Sans for help, and at first, he didn't want to do it, due to their treatment to him, as well as having to call them out on this many times, seeing that it will get his brother and friends killed, he is forced to oblige, but make it very clear that he is not doing it for their sake, but for the sake of the ones that he cared about. But the citizens began to realize what they did was wrong to Limbo, and apologized to him for their treatment to him, but Limbo makes it clear that he will never forgive them for what they have done.

Still, regardless of what he thinks of them, there is one thing that Limbo will make sure of. He is going to make sure that his universe is safe and protected against the Alphatale AUs that exists out there, and no matter how strong it is, he will do whatever it takes to protect it.

Appearance:

Limbo!Sans resembles that of Abyss, meaning that he is very short, with a coat that reaches down to his knees, and has very fluffy scarves. However, unlike Abyss, Limbo wears leather boots, the coat is a more darker, gloomy blue, and his scarves are of a rather misty appearance. Originally, he had 2 purple eye lights, but in time, he gained a Coquelicot Red eye light in the right eye socket. His soul color, is of the same color as his right eye, meaning that it is Coquelicot Red, which is a reference on the fact that Abyss has a green right eye and soul. Coquelicot Red symbolizes Adaptation.

Personality:

Limbo's personality is the same as Abyss, even though it is a little bit more on the darker side. Like Abyss, he is very kind and caring, especially towards his friends, and while he knows that he is powerful, he is not arrogant, and does what he can to help his friends. Even if he is doing something that he really hates, he pulls through for the sake of the ones that he cares so deeply about. He is very calm and rational, and always tries to think of other way sit revolve a situation without needing to have to resort to stuff, such as having to fight someone. However, if he gets very angry, he will resort to violence without a second thought, most of the times severely injuring someone, and at rare times, getting someone killed.

When he fights against other people, he is very cold and ruthless, though he does not speak much. But when he does speak during fighting, it will usually about how it is that he will kill the opponent before he goes and attacks them. And while, at times, he can be a little mocking to an opponent and even trick them, when facing off against someone more powerful than him, he will stop being mocking, and start to take the fight seriously.

When he tries all he can to defend against the AUs that dare attack Limbotale, Limbo will be very focused, and will be so as much as he can, in an effort to try and not let the AU die. But when he sees someone that is from a different AU, but is very friendly, while he will be suspicious at first, he will see that they are not really bad, and desires to help the AUs that are also being targeted. When he sees that they are nice people, he will be nice to them in return, though he will not let his heritage be known. However, when he sees that a person that is well aware of his heritage accepts him for who he is, he is shown to possess undying loyalty towards those that he considers his closest friends. Such examples are with Undyne and Alphys, who are wall aware of his heritage, and he holds a very deep love towards Papyrus.

When it comes to his father, Gaster, while Limbo does love him, his feelings are also a little complicated around him. While he is happy that he tries to give him a happy life, he is also very unhappy that he is hiding some stuff about Limbo that needs desperate to have answers for. Despite this, though, he loved his dad, as when he had supposedly died, Limbo was in extreme amours of grief and distress, to the point where he punched durable materials, to the point that his knuckles began to crack and bleed, showing that he shows self-harm to himself, though he has no desire to take his own life away, due to the fact that he still has his friends, which gives him a reason to keep on living, and all for their sake. So even though he may let himself get hurt, in the end, he pulls through, due to the love of his friends, and the fact that he still needs them in his life.

When it comes to his heritage, it is a very picky and very sour subject. He knows that he is not a full monster, and there is one half of him that he does not understand. Because of this, he realizes that no one is truly going to accept him for who he is, except for his friends, and allows himself to be subjugated by his peers. And unlike Abyss, who is willing to forgive some people, he will not be as forgiving, and will continue to hold a grudge, even if it lasts forever. But as time goes on...he will realize how it will be a blessing, and it is not a curse, and in time...he will accept that his heritage is the key to making sure that Limbotale is protected at all costs.

Powers:

He has most of the powers of his Classic Self, but he has powers that even he does not have, and is much more powerful.

Gaster Limbo Blasters: One of Limbo's weapons. It fires a Coquelicot Red beam of energy, with a shockwave effect taking on the form of mist that attacks all surround enemies, though it does not do as much damage as the blast, and the attacks will resemble small cuts.

Limbo Bones: These bones are made of fog, but can still deal damage to the soul. They are unable to be deflected, due to their non-physical nature.

Limbo Tendril: Limbo's attacks are based around fog. With it, he is able to form tendrils that are capable of attacking anyone at any range. These tendrils can attack the very souls, and can be used to rip them out of their bodies. And in more extreme circumstances, corrupt their bodies with the Limbo Mist, so that they die with the mist within their bodies. They are silent and fast, and are very difficult to notice.

Limbo Barrier: Limbo can create a barrier made of fog to defend against almost all sorts of magical attacks. The exceptions are physical attacks, or attacks that are too strong for the barrier to hold back against.

Flight: Limbo's scarves can turn him into wings and allow him to fly at very high speeds.

Creativity: Due to the power of the fog, Limbo can create just about anything he wants. However, this power is inferior to Ink's own creativity.

Fog Form: Limbo can turn his whole body into mist, either to merge with it to blend in with his surroundings, making seeing him impossible, or to simply avoid attacks.

Teleportation: Limbo can teleport to any AU that he desires, as long as he knows where he is going.

Adaptation: Limbo, due to his heritage, is able to adapt to almost any type of attack that comes out in his way. He can cool down his body to defend against extreme heat, heat up his body against cold attacks, being made of something similar to rubber to insulate electrical attacks, and can even survive in an environment with no oxygen. In fact, the adaptability is so powerful, he can even resist the Hunger within Axetale, a feat that only Abyss!Sans is able to accomplish. However, his adaptation does have limits, and it cannot adapt against physical attacks, or attacks that are too strong for it to handle, or magic that it is unable to form a counter against.

Limbo:

As this AU is the answer to Abysstale, it is no surprise that there would be an answer to the realm connected to the AU. Limbo is the opposite to the Abyss. While the Abyss it the Core of the AUs, Limbo acts as the shell that is able to cover the entire Multiverse. It resembles an endless sky of some sort, a bright purple sun, as large as a blue giant at a very long distance above Limbo, with different colored clouds symbolizing the AUs. There is not gravity, like the Doodle Sphere, and Limbo has the ability to send an AU to the Multiverse, so that the Abyss can obtain it. However, he can also choose to send an AU out of a Multiverse, if it is too dangerous to have.

Relationships:

Limbo!Papyrus: Sans' older brother, as well as a second in command of the Royal Guard. During an incident that got their father killed, Papyrus lost his left arm and eye, Sans created an arm made of Fog, as well as a glowing purple left eye; and the left arm can change into a tentacle for combat. Papyrus and Sans' relationship is very close.

Limbo!Undyne and Alphys: Limbo!Sans thinks of them as sisters he never had, and he even watches anime with them.

Limbo!Gaster: while their behavior of a tiny bit strained, Gaster and Sans do love each other, and when Gaster died, Sans fell into a state of distress and despair, due to losing his father, who cared and raised for him.

Mother: Sans does not know his mother. All that he knows is that she had disappeared one day. But he believed that she is not a monster nor a human, and is in fact, something else. He hopes to try and find her one day.

Dream: Limbo and Dream get along very well with each other, with Dream being the very first AU friend that he had ever had in life. Dream, seeing how much of a kind person he is, goes to his AU whenever he wishes to do so.

Core: Limbo and Core met after an attack by Infected, who had tried to use his Cannibalism ability on Limbo, only to be attacked by Error404, who took him out of Limbotale. Because of their meeting, Sans has a very deep bond with Core.

Abyss: Both Limbo and Abyss met in the Omega Timeline. As Limbotale is the Alphaverse's answer to Abysstale, both Abyss and Likbo surprisingly got along, though Abyss is envious of Limbo, due to his AU still being intact.

Limbo does not like sushi. He instead likes tuna sandwiches.

Limbo is 19 years old.

Unlike Abyss, who can dream of the future, if events yet to come, Limbo can dream of the past, of events that had happened before he had been born.

Limbo has a job in selling clothing, both for male and female.

Limbo has met Alpha only once, but he never considers taking to him, and simply pretended that he's not there to continue his job.

Like Abyss, Limbo, due to him lacking code, is unable to be affected by Overwrite.
