The Conduit of Famine is a Conduit that appeared somewhere near the end of the cycle that War and Conquest appeared in. Although he is the weakest compared to Conquest and War, he is tied with the Conduit of Death as being the most rational. When he appeared, He, Conquest, War, and Death together to be the 4 Horseman Conduits.
Backstory:
Famine is a Conduit that is born near the end of the cycle, and when that happened, he witnessed the Conduit of War and the Conduit of Conquest fighting against one another, due to War having decided to start it. But Famine decided not to get involved in this fight, since he doesn't have any concern for it in his eyes. Instead, he decides to wander around to elsewhere, and it is there that he encountered the Conduit of Death, who is near the fight when it has happened.
Famine and Death were very curious with one another, as the both of them began to speak to each other, and oddly enough, they both possess similar personalities to an extent, and it is enough for them to be able to get along with each other. As the cycle ended, Death and Famine said goodbye to each other, but they parted ways on good terms.
At the beginning of the new cycle, Famine has now appeared in a different place, and while he is a bit confused as to where he had appeared in, he decided to find a way back to where he was before and wander all alone. However, despite this, the Conduit of Death came to him first, just as he had began to wander around in the new realm, as he brought him back along to be with the other Conduits, who he can be with. Of course, he only did that because it is based on Conduit Tradition and needed to be recruited to know how to be a Conduit.
As he practiced, it is discovered that his Conduit has the power to induce famine onto others. While it may not seem impressive at first, due to how most or many Conduits don't need to eat for sustenance, his powers is shown to be so immense that it can even cause a person's metaphysical concept to starve and eventually lead it to cease living in all existence, as well as sap away at a person's life force. Although, even when compared to the others, he is still fairly weak, yet he is very useful to an extent, as well as making it up with his intelligence. And as such, he is still given a spot in the Conduits and worked alongside them.
Famine would eventually meet War and Conquest, after Conquest finally decided to come with War, despite how much he distrusts him for his actions at the previous cycle before. When Famine met both War and Conquest, Conquest does remember him, as even though he was facing against War, who saw him appear from the past cycle. War and Conquest went along with Famine to see Death, and they all had a 4 way conversation together.
Although War and Conquest are a bit disapproved in the fact that Famine is no fighter, although mainly because he doesn't enjoy conflict at all, they do acknowledge that he is intelligent, a bit more so then even Death himself, even though he is not as experienced as Death. As such, they at least admire his intellect being useful to help aid the Conduits. And seeing how all of their powers seem to be related to death to an extent, Famine, Conquest, War, and Death became a very special 4-man group, as well as the unofficial faction of the Conduits in a way, despite being together with the others. They all became known as the 4 Horseman Conduits.
Appearance:
The Conduit of Famine is shown to be an inside an witty a rather thin and average built, in contrast to War and Conquest's muscular build. He is shown to be wearing ragged clothes that are brown with the coat and black with the shirt, but does possess some armor, such as leggings and greaves, which are black, yet seem warm out and rusted in a way. He is also shown to wear a black hood over his head that covers his eyes, and his face is shown have skin that is gaunt, pale, and skeletal, as if he is malnourished.
Personality:
Famine is a Conduit that possesses a no-nonsense attitude of sort, a very serious person who does not approve of slacking off or procrastination. He believes that hard work is required to get anything done. He is very formal when it comes to speaking to others. He is straight to the point, always speaking when spoken to and never stepping out of line.
He is not very social, since his appearance is highly intimidating towards others. He is very similar to Death in terms of personality, in which he is rather aloof, brooding, and indifferent. However, while he does not like fighting and would prefer to avoid needless bloodshed, he will fight, but only when provoked or ordered to by Death, as he is more than willing to harm his enemies should they get in his way.
Powers and Abilities:
Famine's Scales: Famine, unlike Death, War, and Conquest, does not possess an actual weapon. Instead, he possesses a scale of some sort, using it to weigh on a person's life force for how strong it is inside of them.
Conduit of Famine: Being the embodiment of Famine, Famine has control over all aspects of starvation throughout the verse, allowing him to make people suffer in collapses where there is very little to no food to have eaten.
Absolute Famine Manipulation: Famine is capable of manipulating Famine to such a degree that it can affect everything, even Unnameables, Eldritch Beings, Plants, Conceptual Beings, Undetermined Beings, Transcendent Beings, Omnipresent Beings, etc.
Life Force Siphoning: Famine is capable of draining the life force of other entities in order to severely weaken them, although this doesn't do anything to Famine at all, nor does it provide any sustenance for him to feed on.
Famished Crossroads: Famine is capable of causing mass starvations to those that are in his presence, and can destroy even crops, fruit trees, and vegetables, any food source that exists will be destroyed.
Relationship:
Conduit of Death, Conduit of War, and Conduit of Conquest: The 3 other horseman Conduits that create the 4, they each maintain a professional relationship to one another, with Famine preferring to talk to Death out of everyone else, due to Death being similar to him in terms of personality. Although War and Conquest do not like Famine due to not being a fighter like then, even though he's capable of combat on his own, they do acknowledge his intellect. But if there is one thing that unites them more then ever, it is their sheer hatred to O'Brien, the Conduit of Passion for what they have done to the Conduit of Life and for betraying them so unexpectedly.
Conduit of Life: Although Famine is as distant as Death, he isn't that close to Life compared to the other Horseman Conduits. Despite this, he does get along very well and does act kind to her to an extent and always is straight and formal with her in conversations. And oddly enough, he began to feel much calmer and kinder, with Life complimenting him on being formal and honest, which oddly made him somewhat appreciative of Life in a way, seeing why Death seems to love Life. When Life was killed by the Conduit of Passion himself, Famine mourned for her and vows to make O'Brien pay for his treachery.
Conduit of Passion, O'Brien and Conduit of Power, Bastian: The Conduit of Passion and the traitor of the Conduits, Famine hates him just as much as the other Conduits does, and thus vow to make sure that he pays for what he has done, especially as this extends to the Conduit of Power, Bastian, who joined him as well.
Conduit of Liminality: The child of Life and Death, Famine does get along a little bit well similar to how Famine gets along with Death, due to Liminality inheriting her father's way of speaking. Liminality, in return, does get along with Famine, even if they are not that close in bond.
Conduit of Darkness: Famine sees Darkness as disgusting, due to what he had done to Life, so much that he used his powers to severely starve him endlessly.
Forbidden Conduit of Corruption: the child of Darkness raping Life, Famine joins War and Conquest into killing him for what he is, as well as being an insult to Life.
Conduit of Purification: The child of Radiance and Death, Famine does get along with Purification due to her being similar to Life in terms of personality, with Purification being friendly to Famine in return.
Conduit of Prosperity: Sylvia and Famine met once, with Sylvia insulting Famine, which resulted in him starving her badly. Since then, Sylvia and Famine despise each other with a great vengeance.
Notes:
Famine is the weakest of the 4 Horseman Conduits, and yet in spite of that, he's the most intelligent horseman.
The Conduit of Famine, in spite of his name, is not weak and is strong on his own, being able to fight against other Conduits and give them a challenge though he would lose.
Famine and Death's bond is tied with War's relationship with Death in how close they are.
Famine, despite being more distant to life than Death, misses her.
