Chapter 4
The next day was cold, but Farra sat up on her bed soaked in her perspiration. She wiped away her hair that plastered on her face and calmed her thudding chest. When everything turned back to normal, she turned to her nightstand.
The clock showed 12 o'clock in the afternoon. She had slept in, and she never did that. Not wanting to waste time any longer, she grabbed her towel and jumped into the bathroom attached to her room.
She walked out of the room thirty minutes later, dressed in a red tee and black sweatpants, her long still-wet dark brunette hair was pushed to one side of her shoulder. The kitchen was noisy when she came in. It was bright, because the windows were wide open, and the back door too. Farra could see people running at the outside, ice gorillas chasing after them, and suddenly it were crushed by a tall big tree with a lot of moving branches. Arrow sands were flying to the tree and a loud groan was heard when it came in contact with the tree. Farra nodded in approval. The new members were taking their practice seriously.
Her thoughts were interrupted by someone who was mumbling profanities over the stove. Aieyn who was wearing Sheronica's pink floral-patterned apron, was hunched over the stove, stirring something in a pan.
"Wow," she said out loud and Aieyn jumped a little.
"Oh my god, Farra, you nearly gave me a heart attack!" The girl shouted, face red.
Farra chuckled. "You are cooking." Aieyn replied with a huff.
"And you're about to burn the whole place down. What's wrong?"
Aieyn glanced at her. "I've been trying to make lunch, but it doesn't look right.." She said exasperatedly and Farra laughed even louder.
"Let me see.." Farra walked to her and peeked into the frying chicken. Aieyn was trying to make fried chickens, and it didn't look right, but still eligible nonetheless.
"It's fine. Go get me a spatula." Farra said taking over, and Aieyn looked at her like she was crazy. "That thing you're holding on now is for soup, Aieyn, you can't flip the chicken with that. Hurry up, it's burning."
Aieyn's mouth formed an 'o' when she hurried to the cabinets in a mission of finding a spatula. When she finally found it, she ran to Farra.
"It's so hard, how can she stay here and work? I can't even cook a chicken." She groaned, watching Farra taking out her burning chicken and placed it into the plate filled with brownish fried chicken. Farra then added another raw chicken into the pan, the last one, without flinching at the hot oil.
Farra smiled. "She lived her whole life tending for us, Aieyn. It's like how you're used to burn people up."
Aieyn rolled her eyes and leaned on the counter. She eyed her friend who obviously had just woken up. The girl was taking over to cook the lunch and she was not even complaining. Farra flipped the cooking chicken effortlessly.
"What happened to you, you woke up late. You never slept in." She voiced out her mind. It's true, if there was anyone who really cannot stand wasting time, it would be Farra.
Farra clicked her tongue. "I had a weird dream."
"How is it weird?"
"Well," Farra trailed off, and putting aside a cooked chicken to a plate where the other burned chicken was. The color was obvious, the one Farra fried was in crispy golden color, while Aieyn's were in darker shades. She turned the stove off.
"I think I had a premonition about Sheron, or what's happening to her."
Aieyn's eyes went wide. "What?"
Farra nodded quietly. "But I don't want to tell the others yet. We have to plan a meeting, You, and I both, with Izz."

Izz were shouting orders from the side of the practice field, that he didn't even notice Farra and Aieyn walking towards them.
"Jyra, what are you doing? Slaking off will kill you." He yelled.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" The girl answered, building more sand up to the tree, so that it won't move.
"And Zul, be more observant. Your ice objects die faster than I can summon my clones." He pointed out.
Zulfikar nodded and continued making more ice gorillas which were destroyed instantly by Danish's eyes.
Miezza was standing just a few metres from Danish, and she aimed her hands towards him. But before she could throw her wind at him, a fast ball of light came to her way. Miezza who saw the incoming attack didn't have enough time to make a defense force so she covered herself with her hands, however the attack never hit her.
Instead a loud yell from Danish was what she heard.
She opened her eyes and saw Danish sitting on the ground, his eyes focused on a short haired girl who stood not far from them.
"Damn it, Lily!"
"I'm sorry Danish, I was trying to help you!" She cried.
Miezza looked to her side and saw Hisham smiling like an idiot, that made her smile too. He had blocked Lily's attack to Miezza with his lightning arrow and made it turned it's way to Danish instead.
"Lily and Danish, quit chatting!" A yell was heard from the side of the field, and all four of them got back into the practice.
Farra tapped Izzudin's shoulder, making the guy turned around from his stance.
"You're here." He said, acknowledging his friends before turning his attention back to the mini war. His friends followed, standing in line with him.
"Report?" Farra asked, and he nodded.
"Jyra is easily distracted, and Zul needs to work harder on his objects. Noorizan is in good condition, though." He motioned to a guy who was standing far from the chaos and to the huge tree which was pulling it's roots and moving surprisingly fast towards Jyra, Miezza and Lily who stood together. The roots pulled together big chunks of the ground with it.
"Luckily the place will return to normal. That thing is ruining the grass." Aieyn grunted.
"Oh, I'm sure you're a fan of his creation after all. Including his mess." Izzudin said sweetly, earning a bark of laugh from Farra and a glare from Aieyn.
"I'm worried if they get hurt." Izz said but they kept their eyes ahead, "we have no healer with us."
Things were quiet among them after that. Only the voices of people yelling and sound of fight going on. Now everyone teamed up against the massive tree. Danish used his eyes to shoot branches off the trunk, but it kept growing back.
A loud laugh despite the chaos was heard far from the practice ground. All three leaders turned their attention to Noorizan who stood there, arms crossed on his chest like nothing happened.
"Weak, Dan!" He shouted and Danish grunted.
Next Hisham showered the tree with a lot of lighting arrows, making it groan again. He smirked, and released another wave of arrows, and the tree stopped crushing on Zul's ice gorillas, for a bit. Lily used that opportunity to concentrate on her power together to form a big burning light.
"I like their teamwork." Farra started, smiling proudly.
Aieyn nodded and rubbed on her chin. "If I aid Lily with my fire, her light balls could be more fatal."
Farra responded with a nod and no one talked after that. They were all eager to know what will happen next.
The bright ball of light was burning ferociously between Lily's hands. When she felt like it was big enough, she pushed it forward, aiming it to the tree monster. Danish, Hisham and Zul who were attacking in short distance moved away, not wanting to be caught in the light ball. The ball flew fast, and exploded when it came in contact with the tree. The tree let out a monstrous sound and for a moment they think it will die. Even Noorizan who was full of pride had his jaw hanging open. Bits of tree trunks flew everywhere, and dust formed from the ground, covering the whole area.
The leaders covered their nose and mouth to avoid from breathing in the dusts, while the new members coughed.
"Did we make it?" It was Jyra. The dust were taking some time to clear, so Miezza flicked her hand and a semi-hard wind blew to clear the dust away.
The tree was still standing, but it was slightly crooked. Lily's light had managed to penetrate the trunk and it made a huge hole on it. Noorizan held up his hand to close the hole, but it didn't work, and his face turned into somewhat shocked.
"Hmm, of course anything that could burn will affect the tree." Aieyn grinned.
Seeing this, the others started to make their way again. Danish used his eyes to cut through the remaining of the trunk. It was still very thick, but he managed to scratch it this time. Miezza blew dusts to cover Noorizan from the tree, so that he can't see what was happening. Jyra used her sand to grip on the roots. The tree stopped moving.
The branches were moving restlessly. It was Noorizan, since he can't see anything because of Miezza, he was moving the branches to his liking. One branch hit Zul who was busy using his sharp ice to attack, he fly all the way and hit Hisham. Both of them met the ground with an 'umph'.
"Hisham and Zul out. Get away from the practice field." Izzudin ordered. Both of the guy nodded, too tired to argue.
They ran as fast as they could out of the field, afraid of being hit by a blind tree again. They arrived near the leaders and collapsed on the ground.
"Good job guys. I'm impressed." Aieyn said, and Zul muttered a breathless thank you. Hisham's eyes moved to Farra who was smiling at him.
"Danish is going to make it." Izz muttered and their attention were back to the fight.
The tree was barely standing because Danish managed to cut through one of the trunk left by Lily's light ball, all that's left was the other part at the side of the tree which was holding it up. If he managed to cut through it, it will collapse.
By then, the tree was already back with its aim, crushing attempts that were thrown to it. The people who was standing at the side looked to where Noorizan was and saw the dusts that were covering him was gone. He was now fully concerned that he was going to lose, that meant he doubled the attack.
Lily and Jyra were trapped by the roots and they were dangling from the tree.
"Be careful, Danish! Cut it slowly!" Jyra screamed, swinging around as the tree moved.
"I'm going to kill you if we fall down!" Lily added, closing her eyes because she was starting to feel nauseous.
"Hey guys." Miezza ran to her friends who was standing at the side. Aieyn and Farra nodded at her and turned back to the scene.
"Good job Miezza." Izz praised and continued watching the others fight.
"Thank you." She replied and plopped down beside Zul who was still lying down.
"What happened?" Hisham asked.
Miezza shrugged. "I got hit by Lily's light." She grimaced and rolled her shoulder. "Luckily she saw it coming to me, but she only managed to stir it out of my face."
Hisham laughed. "Lily is the worst shooter in the whole world."
Miezza grinned, remembering how her light had turned it's way and hit Danish instead.
A few minutes later, the fight ended, Noorizan won. His enormous tree had fallen down before that but he pulled out roots from the ground and grabbed all those who left in the practice field. He stood with a smug face looking at his friends who were dangling upside down from his roots, hands flailing in the air.
"The fight ended. Noorizan win!" Izz yelled and Noorizan jumped in delight, laughing as he let the roots to place his friends back to the ground.
Jyra wasn't pleased while Lily only rolled her eyes. Danish smiled tiredly and patted Noorizan's back.
"Good job, bro."
"Thanks. You're not bad yourself." Noorizan said.
Danish grinned. "I know."

Hello! There's a lot of action going in here, and this is the first time I'm writing a nearly full page of action. I'm suck at it, but hey, I tried to explain everything in details so that you wouldn't be lost. Anyways, I kind of liking this chapter, because I can replay their practice in my head and imagine the whole thing. I'm excited, LOL. There's more action coming up. So keep reading!
#QOTD: which character do you like, and why? I personally like Danish, he's funny (kind of xD)
Xoxo, Charlotte.
