"Both of you stay here." Zul said and Alex nodded, tears glistening on his eyes as he cradled Lissa lifeless body in his lap. Dylan stared into nothingness.

"We will only be a burden if we go to war without powers anyway. Be safe." Alex said.

"Escape when you can." Zul smiled and sneakily walked out from behind the bushes, Sheronica followed behind him.

"Sher," Sheronica turned around. "Thank you." Alex said and Sheronica nodded, sniffing a little before going after Zulfikar.

"Stay with me." Zul whispered, and they ran to battle.

"Damn, do these things die?!" Miezza screamed as she attacked one creature after another. Sometimes she missed the head, and they will only get up again.

Jyra kicked a creature on its leg making it lose its balance and fell down. She then buried it deep into the ground with her power.

"I know. I'm getting tired." She replied. She touched the ground and it opened up, swallowing a few creatures in one time before closing it again so that they wouldn't crawl out.

She stopped to take a breath when she heard a loud sound behind her. She swirled and was shocked when a creature burst in flames. She trailed her eyes to the guy who helped her.

Danish eyes turned to normal as he smiled to Jyra.

"Be careful." He said before his eyes went wide. His forehead crinkled and slowly his hand touched his chest that was starting to bleed.

"No.." Jyra whispered, watching as Danish weak body collapsed to the ground. Standing behind him was the hooded creature. Its talons were bloody in which it used to stab Danish from his back.

"No!" Jyra screamed. She threw her arms open. Sand blades floated from the ground and fly to the damned creature, killing it on the spot.

She kneeled next to the guy and took his head in her lap. "Stay with me. Stay with me."

His eyelids fluttered as he was going in and out of his conscience. It freaked Jyra, tears demanded to spill. "Don't you dare! Don't you dare. Stay with me. Open your eyes damnit!"

He gave out a chuckle, spitting the blood that pooled inside his mouth. It dripped on the corner of his mouth, staining his white collar with scarlet red and Jyra's pants but she couldn't care less. Tears started to pour out, trailing on her cheeks and dropped to Danish's forehead.

"Don't leave, please. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She sobbed, trying to wipe away the blood from his chin but succeed only to make a mess.

He brought a shaky hand up to her face, but it dropped before he could even reach her. Jyra screamed. Danish's eyes rolled back and it fluttered close. His body then dissipated into the air at his last breath, his alphabet chained around his neck disappeared after. Leaving Jyra crying alone and Danish's blood on her hands.

Aieyn and Noorizan got separated somewhere during the battle, and he had been multitasking between searching for her and fighting off the endless creature since. It was a disadvantage for both of them if they were separated because they were supposedly to watch each others back and try to win the war. Farra paired them up for a reason.

Aieyn was busy frying creatures when she heard a whooshing sound of a water behind her. She turned back abruptly just as she lit another creature on fire. Her eyes instantly darkened.

"Hello daughter." A middle aged woman said as she came into view followed by a young man whom she regarded as a traitor. The water circled them, creating their own battle ring, a battle in which Aieyn was determined to win.

"I am not your daughter." She snapped.

"Feisty, as always." The woman smiled. "But I'm not here to fight with you, my daughter. I'm here to give you a chance."

"I'm not your daughter, and I certainly don't need anything from you." Aieyn snapped. The young man sighed.

"Aieyn, please, listen to her. I don't want to fight with you, please."

The middle aged woman chuckled. "Listen to her, would you dear? He's totally into you." She waved her hand dismissively. "Anyway, I come to make a pact. Give me Farra, and I'll let you go. Maybe I'll even let Rusdi have you. You'll make a cute couple together."

The woman's word made Rusdi smiled widely. He looked at Aieyn with clear admiration in his eyes while Aieyn glared at them with hatefully.

"I will never betray my friend," she said spitefully. She then pointed to Rusdi. "And I am absolutely against the idea of you and I together. I don't mingle with traitor."

Rusdi went bright red and the way he fisted his hand proved that he was barely holding himself.

"Look, Aieyn, I promise to let you live if you turn to us." Rusdi said, forging a calm demeanour.

"I rather die, and I'll die fighting you."

"Aieyn-"

The woman held her hand up and he stopped talking. "The girl said she want to die, and as a mother I should teach her that."

Aieyn chuckled darkly. "Then you should say goodbye to your 44 years of existence."

The woman screeched, and started to shoot water balls at Aieyn but she managed to dodged it all. She jumped up and shot a fire ball to the ground. The woman she once called mother fly to avoid the attack. Now they were head to head.

The woman raised her palm and shot Aieyn who did the same. Their powers collided, both were strong, but Aieyn was younger so when her mother was a bit tired she pushed harder and her power burst out sending her mother crashing to the wall made of water. She fell down from the tall height.

She coughed up blood as she lie on the ground. Aieyn touched the grassy floor at ease and she raised her palm to her mother.

"This is for my father." She shot a big fire ball to her and watched as the woman trashed under the fire. She screamed as the fire became bigger, eating the last bit of her human skin until she was left with nothing but black burnt body that was scarcely recognisable.

Aieyn put up the fire with a flick of her hand.

"You murdered your own mother." A low voice said slowly, and she smiled sadly.

Sure, she killed her, but she was still the person who lived nine months bearing her in the stomach. If only she didn't fell for the enemies' empty promises they would've been living together happily. Her father, mother and herself. No one had to die. She wallowed in the remorseful feeling for just a bit. It was enough to prove that she was a human, and not insane like that woman.

"Because if I don't she will kill me." She replied.

"I wouldn't let her to."

"What makes you think I trust you? I should've never give you a chance. I should've take the risks to kill you the second I saw you. I knew you're nothing better than a backstabber. When we have taken you under our wings." Aieyn spat.

"Oh, but you didn't. You lied to us, there was never a war. You are the ones who trying to entice one." He sneered.

"Call me a liar again, and I'll kill you."

"Liar."

Aieyn raised her hands and fire balls came raining down. Rusdi who saw her fighting with he mother had assumed that she would've used that trick again so he readied himself with water covering his whole body like a bubble. Since Aieyn's mother died, he could control her elements as his and that made him stronger.

He was already at the upper hand to begin with. Fire never win with water.

He counter-attacked with water blades that were as thin as papers. It quietly glided in the air as Rusdi piled it to her. She had to move quickly but she wasn't agile enough to avoid a few blades that cut cleanly through her flesh.

She grinded her teeth together to keep the scream in her throat. She glared at Rusdi harshly as blood trickled from the cut on her cheek. He was shocked. He didn't actually think that his attack will touch her. She was the leader and he loved her that he didn't want to hurt her in any way.

He took a step forward and Aieyn growled.

"Please, I.. I'm sorry."

Aieyn shot a fire from her open palm and it flew to Rusdi's shoulder blade. A gasp left his lips as he touched his now raw skin, wincing slightly at the pain. He turned to Aieyn who had a smug on her face. His face darkened in betrayal.

He yelled, unleashing his powers that he tried to keep at minimum while he was fighting Aieyn. He was utterly mad. He thought that she needed to remember who had the most power in here, and the person was him.

The water circling them was flowing even harsher that the current was capable to suck everything in if they wasn't aware. She couldn't let him to reach the peak of his power, so she shot another sets of fire balls to distract him.

He dodged each one of them and on the intervals of her shots, he fly and raised a large wave toward her, unintentionally going for a death blow.

The rest of fire balls that she made was drowned by the ocean of water and the high tide was approaching her. Her eyes narrowed into slits. She can't die like that, she refused to be weak. She used the last ounce of her strength to build a shield around herself. A smoldering fire burnt ferociously and the water crashed in.
Aieyn's eyes mimicked her burning power as Rusdi's cold ones stared down at her from the water surface. She took a short intake of breath as her walls began to shatter, drops of water seeped in, making hissing sounds as it came in contact of the the burning fire on her feet.

He expected to see at least a bit of fear in her eyes. He even promised inwardly that he will stop the raging water if only she had shown fear. But she didn't.

Instead he saw something different in her red pupils, something that he never saw in someone before. It was pity. She closed her eyes, cutting the only connection between them and he started to feel funny.

She wouldn't do that, would she?

Fear itself had found its way to his own heart as he directed his hands toward the water below his feet. His eyes widened when it didn't comply. He tried again and the water calmed a bit. He grew desperate and started screaming.

Aieyn shut her eyes when she felt another part of her weakened. She was one with her fire and it took a bit of her when it dies. She felt a water dropped to her cheek, drizzling like it would in a hot pan. The last part of her faded away, and she felt herself burned.
