Eva's POV

       I woke up after what felt like hours by a hand gently shaking my shoulder. I looked at the cause only to see mum smiling gently at me.

"Hey mum," I said getting up and smiling back at her.

After sleeping for hours, I feel better much better now. My muscles don't ache and my throat doesn't feel scratchy.

"Hey honey, I woke you up so you could eat something. I made soup for you. Also, we are leaving for Alpha's house in five minutes. I have a spare key so If you fell asleep, you wouldn't have to wake up to open the door. By the way, how are you feeling honey?" She asked squeezing my hand.

"Much better mum and don't worry I'll eat. And you look good," I replied noticing her beautiful green sparkly dress and giving her a wide smile.

"Thank you, Eva," she said returning my gesture.

A soft knocking caused us to focus on the open door of my room. Dad stood there, his hands in the trousers' pockets. He was wearing a black suit which looked good on him. His black hair styled and shiny. Even at the age of 40, he looked quite handsome. He had a height of almost 6 ft. He entered the room and stood next to my side of my bed.

"Hey cupcake, how are you feeling?" he said smoothening my hair. "Your mum told me about the attack. Damn rogue," he said, anger visible in his eyes.

"I am fine dad," I said looking up into his eyes and giving him an assuring smile. He bent down to hug me, then kissed me on my forehead.

"Take care, cupcake, we might take a while to return home," he said standing straight.

"It's fine dad, go and enjoy".

"Okay sweetie, take care and love you," mum said getting up and kissing my forehead.

"Love you both," I replied as the started to leave my room. I heard the front door close behind them. I sighed falling back to the bed. I think I should freshen up and eat something. My stomach growled in agreement.

I got out of the covers slowly and placed my feet on the floor. The wooden floor felt cold under my bare feet. I got up and entered the bathroom. Standing in front of the basin, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My dark brown hair was a mess. I had dark circles under my dark brown eyes and I felt sweaty.

Deciding on having a bath as I was feeling quite lazy, I stripped off my clothes. Filling the bathtub with water, I put in soap bubbles and lavender oil. Stepping into the bath tub, I placed my head on the head rest and took a deep breath. The lavender scent always had a calming effect on me. For a while, I just played with the bubbles then cleaned myself.

Once I felt clean enough, I stepped out of the tub and dried myself using a towel from the rack. I brushed my teeth then blow dried my hair leaving then untied. I brushed my teeth and applied a moisturizing cream all over my body.

Exiting the bathroom, I went to the closet. Rummaging through my closet, I finally decided on wearing a blue floral shirt with dark blue skinny jeans. I exited the closet after wearing my outfit then went downstairs into the kitchen. Picking the bowl of chicken soup from the counter, I placed in into the microwave to heat up and set the timer for 2 minutes

I walked towards the Livingroom and decided on watching Twilight. Putting it on, I paused it as I heard the 'ting' of the microwave. I went back grabbed the bowl from the microwave and a spoon, heading towards living room. I placed the bowl on the coffee table and sat on the sofa cross-legged and picked the bowl of hot chicken soup. I played the movie and started eating my soup. Mmmmm. Mum always made delicious chicken soup.

Three hours later, I was done with the movie and felt bored out of my mind. Laying upside down on the sofa, I thought of doing something. I think a walk would be good. I’ll ask dad when he comes home. I hope he’ll let me go for a walk after what happened yesterday. I got up from the sofa and picked the bowl. Walking into the kitchen, I brought it to the sink and washed it. I turned around and looked at the clock on the far wall. It was almost 9 p.m. I don't know why but I was feeling suffocated in the house. Suddenly, the front door opened and I jumped startled. Placing a hand on my heart to calm its erratic beating, I walked into the living room to see mum and dad entering.

"Hey mum, hey dad," I greeted them.

"Hey cupcake," dad said as he shrugged off his jacket.

"How was the ceremony?" I asked them.

"It was good. The new Alpha seems like a good man," he said as he walked past me towards the kitchen.

"And handsome too," mum whispered in my ear as she followed dad. My mouth dropped open at that.

"Mum, he is too old for me!" I exclaimed in a loud whisper.

"Who is too old for whom?" dad asked as we entered.

"No one!" Mum and I said in unison. Dad raised his eyebrow at us suspiciously. I bit my lip to stop the smile that was threatening to slip on my face.

Mum walked past dad to fill a glass with water.

"Um... dad? Can I go out for a walk?" I said praying he won't object.

"Now?" came his short reply as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"I promise I'll be back shortly," I said giving him my best puppy dog face.

"You can go honey, it will help you feel better," mum chimed from behind dad.

"But-," before he could say something else, mum kissed him.

"Oh, hush Rick, let her go for a walk. She said she will be back shortly," mum said to him.

"Okay, be careful cupcake," dad sighed.

"Thank you," I squealed out as I rushed towards my room. Slipping on a gray jacket, I got my blue converses and wore them. I rushed towards the front door.

"Bye mum, bye dad," I said as I opened the door.

"Bye cupcake," I heard dad's voice while closing the door behind me.

I walked on the side of the road for five minutes before deciding on following a trail that led deeper into the woods. I hummed to myself as I walked, cool breeze feeling good on my skin. After almost fifteen minutes of walking, I reached a clearing. Oops! I shouldn't have come this deep in the woods, alone at this time of the night. Moonlight was illuminating the clearing as well as small patches of ground between the trees. I leaned my back on a tree trunk present at the boundary of the clearing. I took in a deep breath and smiled. It was really calming.

Suddenly, I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned around and started to back away. I looked around for any threat. Suddenly, I saw something moving in the woods.

"Aaaaahhhh," I shrieked out of fear.

Sh*t. Why does it have to be me all the time? Oh, because I am the only one who is stupid enough to come into the woods alone when rogues are attacking people in the area. Looking closely, I realized it was the same black wolf that saved me yesterday. Then, he shifted back to human form. I couldn't help but stare at his face. It was dark but I could make out his face because of the moonlight. Woah! I have never seen someone this handsome.

He started to come closer. Oh My God! What does he want from me? I am just a stupid girl who came into the woods alone at this time of night. I could smell his fresh and earthy scent. Like the scent of forest after rain. I took a deep breath. He came towards me and pulled me into him. OH, MY GOODNESS! he is naked. Sparks ran through me as our arms touched.

"Mate," he growled in my ear and buried his head in the crook of my neck.

Shivers ran down my body on hearing his husky voice. Wait, did he just say- No. My eyes widened in surprise. I stepped out of his embrace and started stepping away from him.

"Wh- who are you? " I asked shakily.

He looked into my eyes and said, "Little girl, I am your new Alpha, Alpha Storm." I gasped. No, this can't be. Suddenly, I tripped over something and every thing went black.
