Brief preview of what is going on in this story:

     Eva pulled a stunt which Xavier didn't like. He got jealous. When confronted my Eva, things got emotional and he ended up marking her. The next day, his parents came back from the trip. They liked Eva and everything was going good until Eva started feeling sick.
Xavier brought her in their room to rest for a while...

Evangeline's POV

I was lying on our bed waiting for Xavier to come back as he went to get me something to eat. After sleeping for an hour, I was feeling slightly better.

I wanted to pee so I tried to get up. As I stood up, I stumbled slightly, feeling dizzy. Trying to hold the bed-side table for support, I fell on my knees as a piercing pain wracked through my body.

A scream erupted from my mouth. Tears gathered in my eyes as the pain increased, blurring my vision.

I felt Xavier grab my hand and rub his thumb over it. I squeezed it tightly as I felt myself shaking.

"What's happening to me?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"Shhh. You're shifting. I can feel your wolf surfacing," he spoke in a soothing voice.

He picked me up bridal style and hurried outside. I cried as another wave of pain wracked through my body.

"Shh. It's going to be okay."

He placed me on the ground and stepped. I felt my bones popping out as I screamed in pain. Sometime later, the pain stopped and I blacked out.

Xavier's POV

She was beautiful. Her pure white fur shined in the sunlight. I stepped back and changed into my wolf. Alex was howling in joy because our mate was so beautiful.

I carefully trudged towards her side and nudged her lightly. When there was no response, I shifted back.

"She must be tired from the shift. It took a toll on her," my wolf Alex said in my mind.

"Yeah," I replied and crouched down to pick her up.

She was heavy but not to the point that I couldn't pick her up in human form. I decided to take her to a nearby stream.

I stopped when we reached the stream and placed her down. Her body was burning up; one of the after effects of shifting.

Using my hands, I started to pour down cool water from the stream. Alex was whining seeing our mate in pain. Even though he knew she was going to be alright.

After an hour or so, her body started to cool down and she blinked her eyes open.

Her wolf had the most mesmerizing forest green eyes I've ever seen. With pure white fur and those beautiful forest green pools, she was a sight to be seen. I might've been in the trance as I didn't notice that she was on her all fours until I felt her nipping at my leg.

My eyes snapped towards her and a smile appeared on my face. Her head came up to my waist. She was bigger than average she-wolves as she was the Luna but not bigger than me.

Alex was pacing around and constantly howling to let him out and play with his mate.

"What's her name?" I asked Alex.

"Alaura," he replied excitedly.

"I'll let you out in a minute but first let me talk to Evangeline."

He huffed in reply and became quiet.

"Hey Alaura," I mind-linked her.

"Hello, mate," came her reply.

"How are you feeling?"

"Good. I want to go for a run," Alaura replied.

"Yeah, we can but first, let me talk to Evangeline," I said as I rubbed my hand on her soft fur.

She nuzzled my hand and purred. A small smile appeared on my face at that.

She let Angel take control of her body.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as I felt her through the mate bond.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she tried to give me a wolfish grin with her teeth bared.

I chuckled at her cuteness. As if finally noticing me naked, she crouched down and put her paws on her eyes.

"Put some freaking pants on, you naked man," she squeaked through the mind-link.

I burst out laughing. Instead of replying, I shifted into my wolf and came to her side. She didn't notice and was still in the same position; paws on her eyes.

I nudged her side to let her know that I had changed into my wolf but instead sent her tumbling down to the ground.

I grinned and helped her up.

"What?! I'm new to this,"she huffed out.

We let our wolves take control of our bodies and ran for what felt like hours.

Evangeline's POV

"That was awesome," I said to Xavier through the mind-link as we neared the stream.

Feeling thirsty, I trudged towards the stream and drank some cool water.

"I want to change back," I told him as I didn't know how to.

"Okay, I'll help you," he said, crouching down to change back.

"No, wait!"

'What?' he asked as he stopped and looked at me.

"I don't have any clothes," I said sheepishly.

"I keep a change here. I'll go get it. Don't go anywhere," he mind-linked me and trudged towards the trees.

Looking at his strong wolf form, my wolf howled in joy.

"He's sexy," she purred and my eyes widened.

"You are a horny dog," I told her shaking my head.

"Oh please! I was looking at my mate. Besides, don't tell me you weren't enjoying it."

I swear if I was in human form, I would've blushed redder than a tomato.

"NO! I WAS NOT!"

"Keep telling yourself that," she purred again, filling my mind with images of Xavier's naked body.

"Oh! Quit it," I snapped back, blocking our link so she couldn't mess with my brain.

I heard his footsteps as he came back. Turning around to look at him, I saw him wearing shorts with that delicious six-pack on display.

I quickly averted my eyes so he wouldn't know I was drooling over his body.

"TOLD YA!" Alaura slipped through the blocked link and screamed in my mind scaring the crap out of me.

"What the hell! You want to give me a heart attack?" I screeched back angrily.

Instead of replying, she again flooded my mind with a certain naked man.

I instantly blocked the link and huffed in annoyance.

"Angel," I heard his husky voice and looked to my left.

He held out a t-shirt for me and grabbed it between my teeth.

"So, how do I change back?" I asked him.

"Just think about yourself in human form and you'll change back."

"Okay," I nodded and trudged back behind a tree.

Taking a deep breath, I thought myself in human form and felt my bones popping in place. A few seconds later, I was standing in human form. Surprisingly, I didn't hurt much.

Putting on the t-shirt Xavier gave me, I straightened myself. It was way bigger than my size and came to my knees. Judging from his scent on it, I knew it was Xavier's.

Walking back, I saw him sitting with his back against a tree, arms folded on his chest and eyes closed.

He opened his eyes as I was just two steps away from him and gave me the brightest smile.

I crouched down to sit next to him but he pulled me by my waist and made me sit between his legs.

I leaned into his chest and sighed feeling content. His hands came around my waist, one was placed on my stomach and the other was drawing circles on my side.

Taking a deep breath, I inhaled his heavenly scent which made my wolf purr. I was feeling at ease.

By now, the sky had turned into dark violet hues with thousands of stars twinkling in it. Xavier's one hand was playing with my hair and other was on my waist.

"Angel," Xavier said, twirling a strand of hair around his finger.

I hummed in reply.

"How are you feeling?"

I turned to look at his face and gave him a big smile.

"I feel ecstatic. I mean my wolf is a bit annoying but I am happy," I said and buried my face into his chest.

It was slightly chilly but Xavier's body kept me warm. He was like my very own warm big cuddly bear.

"That's good," he said as he kissed my hair.

For a while, we just sat there in silence before I heard him speak.
"Hey, I wanted to tell you something."

"Yeah," I sat up straight and gave him my full attention.

"You know there's going to be a full moon in exactly ten days."

I looked at him quizzically wondering where he was going with this.

"You'll be going into heat unless we complete the mating."

My eyes widened in shock and a blush covered my cheeks whereas, my horny wolf howled in joy ready to jump his bones.
