My internet was down and I couldn't upate. So, sorry again!

We walked towards the parking lot. Suddenly, a car honked next to me scaring the sh*t out of me.

"What the hell?" I shrieked placing a hand on my heart.

Eva's POV

I turned around to see Xavier in his car.

"What are you doing here?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I came to pick you up," he grinned.

"Hi, Alpha," Anna peeked over my shoulder.

"Hello, Anna. How are you?" Xavier asked her.

"I am good, Alpha," she bowed her head slightly in respect.

"Anna, I am giving Evangeline a ride to the mall. If you don't mind, can I join you guys?" He asked and I gaped at him.

"Yes," Anna squeaked out in excitement.

"Um... I mean sure, Alpha. It would be a pleasure," she said again, giving him a small smile.

"Okay then. Come on, Evangeline," he signaled towards the passenger seat.

I nodded and hopped into the car. Throwing my bag in the back seat of the car, I turned towards him. I stared hard at the side of his face. He didn't notice that I was staring or he just didn't want to acknowledge it.

"You know...," I trailed as he drove us out of the school parking.

"Hmm," he hummed sparing me a glance then looking back at the road.

"You didn't have to come with us. You'd probably get bored there," I said hoping he'd say no.

"What? You don't want me to come?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me as he took a left turn on the road.

"No, I didn't mean that. I just- I was just saying that you'd get bored. And besides, don't you have some pack business to attend to?"

"Well, I was thinking that we haven't really spent much time together. I finished my work for today so we could do something together even if it's just shopping. And I won't get bored if you are by my side," he said giving me a smile and returning his attention towards the road.

Hmm... If he goes then he's going to get jealous and territorial since there will be men staring and all. And Rebecca won't be there so that's a plus.

And, I hope I wouldn't have to train today. That will be seriously draining.

"-geline."

"Evangeline."

I heard someone calling my name.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Xavier but he was outside the car leaning on the door of his side.

"What?" I asked.

"I said we are here, Evangeline."

"Oh!"

I felt really dumb. My face burned with embarrassment. I quickly got out the car and shut the door behind me. Xavier walked round to my side and slipped his hand into mine.

"Should we wait for them here or head inside?" He asked.

"Uh...wait," I quickly got my phone out of my jeans pocket to see a text from Anna.

Anna: I just entered the parking lot. See you in a minute ;)

"Anna is here," I said and looked around to see her waving from across the lot.

"Oh! Look there she is," I pointed towards her.

Just as she reached us, Asher's car parked next to her. Jade and Asher climbed out of his red jeep and walked towards us.

"Hey," Asher said to me.

As soon as he noticed Xavier, he went stiff.

"Alpha," he slightly bowed his head towards Xavier.

Xavier just nodded in reply. Jade looked weirdly between me and Xavier. Then, she gasped out loudly.

"Y-you are her boyfriend," she stuttered out, her eyes wide open.

Xavier looked at me quizzically but replied her.

"Yes, that would be me. Xavier Storm, nice to meet you," Xavier shook her hand and she almost fainted.

"H-hi," she said awkwardly still shaking his hand.

Xavier chuckled lightly.

"Hi," he replied giving her a small smile.

Xavier and Asher started mind-linking. Anna and I busied Jade so she won't notice. Suddenly, she grabbed my arm and shook me excitedly.

"OMG! Your boyfriend is so hot. I wish I could get someone like him," she squealed out.

Suddenly, Asher peeled her off my arm and placed a possessive arm around her waist.

"Mine," he growled out and kissed her neck.

Jade started blushing madly. I just shook my head smiling. Yup, she is crazy.

"Let's go," Xavier grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the parking towards the entrance of the mall.

With Anna dragging me from one shop to another and Xavier growling at someone every second, I was getting tired. We've been here for more than three hours. It was almost five in the evening. My feet were aching and I couldn't walk straight. Xavier tried to pick me up more than once but I slapped his arm away telling him that I could walk perfectly.

He did give me a sassy reply but I ignored it. My plan wasn't working very well since nothing major happened. Just a few glances and stares from people. Xavier was still constantly glaring and growling at them.

He looked too cute with his cheeks puffed out in anger. Honestly, I just wanted to squish them together but I refrained myself from doing so. Well, partly because that would've been awkward with all the people around us.

I snapped out of my thoughts as my stomach grumbled. My cheeks reddened and I cautiously looked up, hoping Xavier hadn't noticed it.

He looked at me with amusement shining in his eyes. He called Asher, Jade, and Anna who were walking ahead of us.

"I think we've done enough shopping. Evangeline here is hungry. Why don't we go and have something to eat?" He asked.

"Yes, Alpha," Asher nodded.

Ten minutes later, we were sitting in the food court. Asher came back after putting the bags in the cars.

"What do you want to eat?" Xavier asked.

"A cheese burger and fries. Oh! And a coke."

He nodded and went to get us food. Asher got up and followed him to order for Anna, Jade and himself.

Xavier brought a cheese burger for me and a burger for himself. We all made a small talk but mostly ate in silence.

When we were done, Xavier and Asher got up and paid for the food. They stood in the line to pay for our bill.

Suddenly, a group of guys walked by our table. One of them stopped and leaned next to my chair.

"Hey hottie, wanna give me your number?" He asked in what he thought was a deep voice.

He looked no more than seventeen with short dirty blonde hair. I could tell that he was a werewolf. He probably didn't know his Alpha was here or he didn't know I was his mate. Only a few people from school knew since they saw me with Xavier this morning when he dropped me off at school.

He was what you could say a cute guy. But, I had eyes for one man. Which reminded me of my plan.

I looked up to see Xavier glaring at the boy. Cashier asked him for the money. He handed him the money and waited for change. An idea came to my mind.

Anna was about to scream at the guy but before she could say something, I gave her a look that made her stop.

"Nah! Why don't you give me yours?" I leaned my face into the palm of my hand.

"Really?" He stood straight looking quite shocked.

Anna's eyes almost bulged out. Jade looked at me with mouth hanging open.

"Yeah. I don't have a paper. Why don't you write it on my hand?" I brought my palm up for him to write his number on it.

He quickly got a pen out of his pocket. My eyes almost bulged out but I kept a small flirty smile on my face. When he was done, he brought my hand up and kissed my palm. Ugh!

I shrieked in fright when he was suddenly slammed into the wall next to our table. Xavier grabbed him by his collar and growled lowly.

"Stay away from her. She's mine," he hissed at him.

"Y-yes, Alpha," the guy stuttered out.

He looked down right terrified. I felt sorry for the guy. I didn't mean for him to get into trouble.

I quickly stood up and tugged on his Xavier's arm.

"Xavier! Stop!" I yelled at him.

He dropped the guy who slid down the wall taking big gulps of air.

He turned around to look at me. My eyes widened looking at him. His face was red and his nostrils were flaring with anger. Man, did he look scary. He growled lowly staring into my eyes, his eyes shifting between deep blue and light blue. Sh*t! I am in deep trouble.
