Xavier's POV

Waking up with my mate in my arms was quickly becoming feeling in the morning. I ran my fingers through her soft hair as she buried her face further into my chest. My wolf purred in pleasure.

My thoughts went to the kisses we shared last night. I had my fair share of kisses in the past. I was young and wanted to explore a bit since I couldn't find my mate. But, the kisses we shared were different. It was more sensual and there were sparks that could only be felt if you are kissing your mate.

Thinking about the kisses made me want to taste her soft lips again. I looked down at her sleepy face and touched her cheek lightly. I can't believe she'd think that I like Rebecca. I only see her as a friend. I know I didn't spend any time with my mate these past three days that she thought I didn't want her as my mate. She thought Rebecca was prettier than her. God! She couldn't be more wrong. If only she could see how beautiful she was. My heart swelled with pride.

She stirred in my arms I looked at her face. Her warm brown eyes opened and she stared at me.

"Good morning, Angel," I said placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

Suddenly, she blushed realizing that she had her face buried in my naked chest. She buried her face again in my chest.

"Good morning," she mumbled, her head still buried in my chest.

I chuckled at her cuteness. "Come on, get up. You are going to be late for school," I rubbed her arm up and down.

"School!" Suddenly, she moved out of my hold and stood next to the bed, grinning like the Cheshire cat.

I sat up and raised an eyebrow at her. I never saw someone this excited for school.

"You okay? You are awfully excited for school today," I asked looking at her quizzically.

"Yes, I am perfectly fine," she grinned cheekily and skipped towards the bathroom.

I got up and went to take a shower in the guest bathroom.

Ten minutes later, I was done with the shower. I went back to my room with a towel around my waist because I forgot to bring my clothes with me. As soon as I entered my room, I went straight to my closet. Eva was nowhere in sight. Maybe, she was still taking a shower.

I looked through my clothes and found black pants and a black dress shirt. I dropped the towel and grabbed my underwear.

"Aaaaaaaaah," suddenly, I heard a loud scream behind me.

My eyes widened and I turned my head to see a horrified looking Evangeline. Before I could say something, she shut the closet doors again. Ugh! Blood rushed to my cheeks and my face felt warm. What the hell? I never blush.

Eva's POV

I hummed to myself as I washed my hair under the shower. I felt extremely excited today. I was going to make Xavier jealous to the point that he will mark me. But, first I had to choose an outfit fitting for the purpose.

I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I did my morning routine and exited the bathroom. Xavier wasn't in the room. Hmm... maybe he went out or something. I skipped towards the closet. I opened the doors.

"Aaaaaaaah," I screamed out at seeing Xavier butt-naked.

A horrified expression filled my face. He turned his face to look at me but I slammed the closet doors shut. Placing my back against the doors, I took in deep breaths to calm my erratic heart beat. I moved away from the closet and sat on the edge of the bed.

I shook my head to get the images of naked Xavier out of mind. Two minutes later, he came out fully dressed. I gulped down.

"Don't you know to close the doors before you change?" I groaned out.

"Yes, but I didn't know you would pop in and you weren't even in the room," he grumbled.

"That's because I was taking a shower," I stood up and huffed, folding my arms on my chest.

His eyes darkened at my action. I realized I was in just a towel and held the towel tighter to my body. Suddenly, he started to come closer.

"But, you have to admit that I am handsome, right?" He smirked leaning closer.

"I didn't have to see your butt to know that," I spoke angrily.

Suddenly, his cheeks tinted red and my eyes grew wide.

"Are you blu-," before I could complete myself, he cut me off.

"No!" He spoke loudly. He walked towards his side, grabbed his phone and left the room.

Okaayyy! I shook my head and went towards the closet. I rubbed my hands looking at my clothes. Time to put my plan into action!

Twenty minutes later, I was done with my outfit. I was wearing high waisted jean shorts and a tank top. My hair was down and straightened. I had applied a little makeup. Grabbing my bag, I went to the kitchen.

"Hey," someone touched my shoulder.

I turned around to see Asher.

"Hey, Asher," I said with a smile.

"Uh... Alpha is waiting for you in the dining room," he said.

"Oh okay," I turned to walk towards the dining hall.

"Hey, aren't you coming?" I asked as I saw him walk away.

"Uh... no, I was going to have breakfast downstairs".

"Come on, join us for breakfast," I said as I pulled him with me towards the dining hall.

As soon as I entered, I saw Rebecca sitting on the right side of Xavier. My mood instantly turned sour. Why is she always glued to his side? I took a deep breath to control myself. I can't fail my plan.

"Good morning," I spoke cheerfully.

Rebecca and Xavier turned around to look towards me. Xavier's eyes instantly darkened when he noticed my outfit.

"Morning," Rebecca mumbled and went back to eating her scrambled eggs.

I glared at the back of her head. I dragged Asher with me towards the dining table. Instead of sitting on the left side of Xavier, I skipped that chair and went to sit on the next one. Asher followed my suit and sat on my left side.

The way Xavier was glaring at my clothing clearly showed that he didn't approve of this kind of clothing. Whatever. I was going to wear it no matter what.

I grabbed two pieces of bread and made myself a peanut-butter sandwich. I poured myself some fresh orange juice. I honestly, can't live without orange. I am addicted to it and it's really tasty too.

I took a bite of my sandwich and turned my attention towards Asher.

"Hey, you want to go to the mall with us? I, Anna and Jade was thinking of doing some shopping after school. We can also grab lunch from there".

I could see that he didn't want to go with us but his interest perked up at the mention of Jade's name.

"Uh... sure," he said awkwardly.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Rebecca trying to gain Xavier's attention but he was staring at us with narrowed eyes. Aha! Take that, Becca. I decided to test my plan.

"Yayyy!" I said as I leaned towards Asher and gave him a small kiss on his cheek.

His cheeks tinted red and he looked a little awkward as he could sense Xavier's glares. I sneaked a glance at him and he had his fists clenched tight. Oh, poor guy! I laughed evilly in my mind.

My plan was working. I could feel the glares he was sending our way. I quickly finished my breakfast and got up from my seat. Grabbing my bag from my feet, I waited for Asher to finish.

As soon as he was done, he got up wiping his hands with a napkin.

"Hey, I was wondering if you could give me a ride to school?" I asked, loud enough for Xavier to hear.

"No need for that," Xavier growled angrily from behind me.
