It was a bright an early morning when Shadow woke up to one of the warrior's wake up calls.

"Ugh, morning all ready," snarled the young black wolf as he stretched out his paws. He slept in a small cave with the other wolves who weren't yet five.
On a wolves fifth birthday they would meet the queen at the forest tribes "magical rock" (which some called it) to gain there powers, and then be moved to a den with warrior wolves which was much bigger.

Shadow rolled around in his bed of leaves trying to mute the sounds around him. Just then he heard the voice of his twin sister daisy, right behind him.

"SHADOW!!!," she shouted, yet it seemed to only wake the other den members. "You sleepy head! Today is our FIFTH BIRTHDAY! remember?" The twin jumped up and down, her hazel eyes widened.

"What?" Shadow shook himself and yawned. "Today?" he asked looking at daisy as if he thought she was out of her mind.

"YES SHADOW," she smiled and wagged her tail rapidly, sweeping up the neatly arranged leaf beds and turning them into clumps. "We must see the queen," she started marching
out of the den.

Shadow finally got up and raced after his sister out into the forest of their tribes territory. All of the five clans had there own sections in the land of Wonders. Forest tribe got the Forest of
Spirits, Mountain tribe got the Howling Mountains, Desert tribe got the Lone Wolf Desert, Ocean tribe got the Great Ocean and it's beach, and Volcano tribe got the hidden caves in a volcano called Alpha's mouth.

"Ah there you are," said a beautiful, gray she-wolf. She had a necklace made of the forest's most colorful flowers and a crown made of ice. She was about twice the size of shadow and daisy and ten times more powerful. "I am queen crystal," she announced looking at the twins. Just then she met the eyes of Shadow and shuddered.

What was that for? Thought shadow looking at how the queen's eyes widened with fear.

"Well we better get going," said crystal as she led them through the forest and down to K-9 creek. This was the edge of the forest tribes land but the rock was just across it. The forest was quiet and all the warriors were missing.

"Where is everyone?" Questioned Daisy. "The camp is usually filled." Her eyes traveled around, looking for the wolves that usually hung around their dens.

"They are waiting for you," the queen answered stepping into the strong currents of the river. As she placed her paw onto the water it froze her a path.

"Woah," said Shadow looking at the water transform right before him. His dark brown eyes widened as the queen made it to the other side without a drop of water on her neatly groomed fur. "I've never seen magic before."

"Most warriors try to keep there abilities away from younger wolves," the queen informed rolling her eyes. "Now hurry, cross the ice and you'll be safe."

Both of the wolves crossed the ice and went up a steep path on the other side of the creek. As they reached the end of the pathway, they entered a large clearing with a flat rock in the middle and multicolored orbs around it.

"Ooh! I read scrolls about these orbs," the sister spoke up. "Each one contains a different power in them," she smiled and wagged her tail. "Each clan has there own set of orbs. How many?" She asked pointing to each.

"Seven. Fire, ice, water, earth, the healers, air, and the evils" the queen announced.

"Evil?" Shadow whispered to his sister as his fur began to rise off his back.

His sister ignored him and then said, "AWESOME! What if I could fly? Air wolf, I wanna be one!" She spun in a circle.

The clearing was filled with all the Forest tribe's warriors. They sat on rocks shaped like benches set up around the circle. There was an old tree stump in front of the crowd. That must be where the queen sits. Thought shadow as he watched the queen walk over to it. As the queen stood on it, the twins walked into the middle of the circle and sat on the Forest tribes magical rock.

"Today we gather to celebrate Shadow and Daisy's fifth birthday," queen crystal announced as the clan cheered. "May Alpha grant one of the seven wishes on these young wolves, turning them into true warriors." The queen looked up at the sky then at the two
wolves.

The sun was shinning down right into the clearing making some kind of spotlight for the new warriors. Everything was quiet now and the queen still looking up at the sky, as if she were talking to the spirit of Alpha.

Shadow noticed the air orb shaking and then started floating towards them. Yes! I'm the air wolf! He thought. Just then the white colored orb landed right in front of Daisy.

"Welcome, Daisy, you are now part of Forest tribes air warriors!" Crystal said bowing. Beautiful tan angel-like wings formed on Daisy's back. "You will now be known as Daisywing."

Just then the whole tribe was silent as they glared at Shadow. Another dud? the queen though. Just then a large dark cloud covered over the sun. The clan turned into a big mess, warriors scattering, elders whispering, pups covering their ears at all the sound, and young wolves freaking out.

"What's going on," one of the pups called out as she looked around in panic.

"This isn't a dud," the queen answered herself as Shadow gave her a half surprised half angry look. Rain started pouring down from the sky as the elders and warriors already fled to their dens. "This," she paused, "is an evil."

Shouts and screams, yells and barks. Shadow looked at the queen and gave her a sad "what's going on? What's wrong with me!" Look. "A..a..an evil?" He said and felt as if he was whimpering though his own words.

"Alpha said you were no good young one. Now known as Darkshadow, you must leave this clan!" Queen Crystal demanded in the upset voice that many never heard from her. Just then from out of the dark corner of the clearing the dusty black orb emerged and landed right in fount of Shadow.

"WHAT! IS THIS?" Shadow yelled, "I AM NOT! EVIL!" He said and then started to cry. His straight, clean, black fur then changed right before his eyes, making it matted. A big cloud came from the evil orb which made his brown eyes turned dark red.

"You must leave. NOW!" The queen raised her voice even higher. But before anyone knew it, Shadow rammed into the air orb facing his sister which made it shader into pieces. His sister looked shocked as she saw him.

"I never did anything!" he shouted out to the clan. All the wolves that didn't yet flee had their fur raising on their backs. "This isn't fair! I WILL get my revenge!" Shadow finished. The queen snarled at him and cried for her air orb at the same time. Just then Darkshadow bolted off the clan territory.

I will get my revenge were his last words.
