~Daniel's POV~

"Why do we have to do this again?" I ask my future beta, Cole. Today was the first day back in high school. Our senior year to be exact.

"Because in order to become Alpha you have to do fourth grade math." He responds joking. I turn and glare in his direction. He holds up his hands in defeat. "Kidding. Your mom wanted you to finish your last year of high school and enjoy everything before becoming Alpha." He explains. I nod walking down the halls with my schedule and map out. Suddenly I hear something.

'Mate! Mate!' Alex, my wolf, exclaims in my head. 'I can feel our mate. She's here!!'

'Really?! Are you sure?!' I ask him. He rolls his eyes at me making me glare at him.

'Yes I'm sure.' He snaps at me. In turn I roll my eyes before cutting off the connection. Alex could be a real pain the ass sometimes and I didn't want to deal with him.

"Hey I found our class. Ms. Gomez, A12, home room." Cole says pointing down the hall. I follow him before I smell the most delicious thing in the world. Strawberries, chocolate and oranges mixed together to create the most mouthwatering smell.

'Mate.' Alex purrs. I grin before following the scent down the hall. I mentally cheer seeing it's coming from our home room class.

I turn toward Cole, "My mate is in there and if there's an empty seat next to her and it's the only one left sorry dude but you're standing." I tell him.

"Dude I'm so glad for you! Of course bro. Our future Luna needs to know her mate." He says giving me a bro hug and a wink.

I chuckle before knocking on the door twice and opening it. Everyone's head turn to us and I smirk. I quickly scan the room tracing the scent, leaving Cole to explain to the teacher of our situation. Then I see her. And I take her all in.

She's in the back looking at me with curious beautiful light brown eyes. She has beautiful dark brown hair that ends near the middle of her back and it's a bit messy giving her a sexy look. Her skin has a soft cream glow and her lips are heart shaped. They're light pink and look so soft. I suddenly want to see how much I need to kiss her to make them red. A blush makes it's way to her cheeks as she realizes I'm looking at her. I wink making her blush harder and a grin makes it's way to my face.

'Our mate is so beautiful.' Alex purrs happily. I nod mentally at his approval. 'I can't wait to claim her. Hearing her scream under the pleasure we give her.' He says showing me scenarios of what we could do to her. I quickly cut the connection off and fight the urge of marking her so I won't make a scene in front of all these people.

"Just find a seat anywhere." I hear the teacher say. I snap my head quickly looking to see if there's a seat next to her and grin when there is.

I quickly make my way toward her and I see the terror in her eyes before she moves them to her desk where a piece of paper and pencil is at. She picks it up and begins to doodle as I finally make it to the desk to the left of her.

I drop my backpack on the ground making her flinch at the sudden noise but I can tell it's my presence that's making her jittery. I take a seat as she lifts her left elbow and places her head on it leaning so I can't see her face.

'Its gonna take a lot more than that to keep me away sweetheart.' I think grinning. I lean over and tap her shoulder. I smile hearing her heart pick up and shoulders tense.

She slowly lowers her elbow and turns to me. "Umm yes?" She says softly. Her voice is beautiful and calming I nearly forget what I was supposed to say.

"Hi my name is Daniel. I was wondering if you could show me around? I'm new so I'm not really sure where any of my classes are." I say hopeful and with a smile. Shock is written in her face at my request and I chuckle at her cuteness.

"S-sure." She says stuttering. I grin seeing her cheeks blush. "My name is Mackenzie by the way." She says offering her hand for me to shake. I quickly grab it with mine enjoying the sparks and the perfect way we fit. Guessing she felt them too she looks down at our hands.

"Mackenzie." I say softly testing it out loving the way it rolls off my tongue so easily. She looks up hearing her name and she grins completely not shy anymore.

"Don't wear it out." She jokes smirking as she quickly snatches her hand away and turns away looking at the board.

I'm stunned for a minute before I laugh quietly.

'Well she's full of surprises.' Alex says in my head. 'Yes she is.' I respond smirking. 'Our mate is going to be fun.'
