...
Shoto walked inside the house. Setting the bags on the counter he placed all the things in their correct places before throwing the plastic bags in the trash and getting ready to make dinner.
Both Touya's ran in the room.
"ICE CREAM?!"
"Cigarettes?"
"Ice cream yes." Shoto responded. Dabi rolled his eyes before collapsing onto the couch. Touya ran to the freezer to get the ice cream. Shoto playful tapped his head with the spatula.
"No dessert before dinner." Shoto stated, the younger pouted before collapsing on top of Dabi and the older grunted. For being only 26 he felt like an old man.
Shoto laughed quietly to himself before starting on dinner. He tied the apron around his waist and started cooking.
~~~
Shoto set the three bowls on the kitchen table and placed the fourth one in the microwave for when Katsuki came home. Shoto was still confused. Why had the older not been at work. Katsuki wasn't an official hero. He was kind of like a temp at the moment for the Genius office. Eventually he was supposed to become a full time hero but that would be later. Shoto at the moment was working for Edgehshot, aka Mr. Kamihara. Shoto wouldn't go onto to full time until Touya was in kindergarten. That was the deal, cause Shoto didn't want to leave his darling just yet.
Shoto enjoyed the alpha, Mr. Kamihara was a really nice and responsible man and Shoto liked when he would work with him on the weekends. The days where Touya was with Fuyumi, Rei, Katsuki, or Dabi.
The omega sat down, calling the two Touya's older he turned on the news.
Two people died from house fire caused by child
Was the front line. Shoto turned up the volume. Dabi and lil Touya even turned to pay attention.
"Today two people have died from a house fire. It seems that the fire was caused by a child who was being unsupervised and used his fire quirk for the first time." The reporter explained. Shoto looked across the table to his son. Touya was staring at the screen along with Dabi. Shoto wondered what the boy's quirk would be. He should get it by the time he is in kindergarten.
Shoto sat there thinking not really paying attention to his food when the front door swung open. Katsuki was there. Looking quite irritated he looked at Shoto then at Touya before walking to the a cabinet and pulling out some cup of ramen.
"There is some Tempura in the microwave." Shoto stated. Katsuki ignored the younger. He took the Tempura out of the microwave and put in his cup ramen in. The omega was starting to get quite angry. Shoto stood up. Putting on his fakest smile he walked over to the alpha to speak.
"So why did you run late today?" Shoto asked. Looking through the draw to seem like he was just making general small talk.
"Meeting." The older lied. Shoto bit his tongue so hard that blood dripped out of the side of his mouth. He wiped it away with the front of his wrist.
"Is that so? I see, well can't be helped." Shoto spoke, his voice low and shaky. The younger picked up Katsuki's Tempura and dumped in the trash vigorously before going outside and slamming the door. Dabi cocked his eyebrow. Having felt the obvious tension he picked up the tired Touya and went to his room to watch tv. Katsuki went to go look in the trash can. Feeling bad about his actions he noticed the Osaka-o-jiri food market bags in the trash can.
Katsuki ran his hand through his hair, knowing he was screwed. The alpha sprinted out the door. Looking around Shoto was no wear insight. The latter went down the street in search of his Fiance. He made his way down the side walk to the town square.
Standing a good 20 feet away from him was Shoto. Sitting on the bench that Katsuki had been sitting on. The omega pulled out a cigarette. Of course not smoking it. He would never. He was just reacting a few hours ago. The omega then pulled out his phone, looked at it before rolling his eyes, throwing the cigarette at the ground then squishing it with his heel.
Shoto pulled out his phone and dialed the older. Katsuki hesitated to answer but he eventually did.
"Shoto..."
"You can sleep on this bench tonight, how about that." The younger said before getting and walking toward the alpha. Katsuki was ready for Shoto to yell at him. But it never happened. The omega just walked right past him like he was nothing. Shoto hid his hair in front of his eye's. Not wanting anyone to see the tears streaming down his face.
Shoto sprinted all the way home. He ran inside Dabi's room. Him and Touya where sitting there watching TV.
"Sho? What's wrong?" Dabi asked. Touya ran to Shoto.
"Kaasan! Why are you crying?" The boy asked, feeling quite sad the sight of his crying mother.
"Um get like two pairs of clothes. We are going to stay somewhere else for tonight, okay." Shoto stated before walking out of the room. Dabi saw the hurt in the younger's eyes. He was ready to ask Shoto questions but the boy seemed so heart broken that pushing him might break the fragile omega.
"Come on. You heard your mother. Go get your things." Dabi said as he to grabbed a backpack and collected some things.
~~~
Shoto didn't know if he was overreacting. But Katsuki had lied. Lied right to his face, like it was nothing. Acting like he the omega was some push over. No, he was not. Out of the many years they have been together he never felt that kind of coldness from the alpha. It was cold that made your mind ache.
Packing a couple of things Shoto made his way to the door. He would stay at a hotel for a couple of days. He just wanted to think for awhile. It was odd for Katsuki to be that way. He was an angry man but never to Shoto. He acted like the omega was a pest, an annoyance. That hurt the younger. It was like a needle to the heart.
Todoroki got into the car. But he forgot. Katsuki had the keys. He really didn't want to see him either. Shoto was ready to just walk to the nearest hotel when something kept him from opening the car door. There was Katsuki. Leaning on the door. Keeping it from opening. Shoto glared at those crimson red eyes. Shoto's eyes being filled with disappointment.
"Move." Shoto demanded, his voice cold, but sad and hurt.
"No, can't we just talk about this?" The alpha asked. Shoto laughed. Not his usually giggle either. It was more menacing and mocking.
"How don't I know you won't just tell me more lies?" Shoto questioned. The word echoing inside his head. Katsuki opened his mouth to respond but was immediately stopped.
"No, don't say anything. Just don't. I really don't want to hear it. So why don't you just move." The younger said demanding. He wasn't gonna play games with the alpha. It was either he moved or he was gonna get moved. Katsuki clicked his tongue and that set Shoto off.
The younger sent a sharp icicle through the window. It immediately shattering it. Katsuki stepped back, barely in the nick of time. He felt small drops of blood coming out a small cut that was on the side of his stomach. The older hissed.
"Now won't you leave me alone, Bakugo."
Katsuki felt that hit him right in his chest. Like he had gotten stabbed. Shoto never called him Bakugo. Not ever since they officially got together. Now the younger had said it. The word leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.
Shoto got out of the car. Dabi was standing right there. A smirk on his face and anger in his eyes.
"I think your mistaken here blondie. Why don't you run before I fucking burn you alive." The older growled. Fire starting to flicker out of the palm of his hand. His cynical smirk getting larger by the second. Ready to make Bakugo toast Shoto took the older's hand.
"Come on can we just go." Shoto whispered. His voice starting to crack. Shoto grabbed the keys out of his pocket. He had grabbed them when Bakugo had jumped backwards.
"We'll talk about this when I don't feel this pain in my chest." The younger whispered before getting in the car. Dabi helped Touya into the car. Eyeing the blonde as they drove away.
"Kaasan?..."
"Hmm?"
"Why are you and Otosan mad at each other?"
"Cause he did something that you shouldn't do when you love someone."
"What did he do?"
"Lie..."
"Oh... do you still love him?"
"Of course, adults fight sometimes. And that just means that they may need to have a little time to themselves for away so they can solve the problem like adults." Shoto explained. Trying to be as positive as possible. Of course he still loved the alpha. Why wouldn't he? Thing just got bumpy sometimes, but they always got through it...
Always...
