Chapter 9

We have been sitting here for the past couple of hours talking, well Conner talking and me just listening. He told me how it was growing up with nine other brothers. Him being the oldest and having to set the perfect example for them. We had a couple laughs at the stories he told me, him running butt naked through town because his brothers stole his clothes when he was younger. Of course he got them all back of course. But that's how it was with them. They would all gang up on one, but that one would get pay back and it would be worse for them.

If was so relaxing to just sit there and talk. I think he was getting me ready for the big stuff, but that was fine. We were getting to know each other and if I'm stuck with him I want to know the man that will be my boyfriend or whatever werewolves are called for that.

" So...um... I'm not....really sure on how to start off with all the important stuff, so I'll try my best. Like I said before please listen and let me explain everything then you can ask questions,"He told me while he was playing with his hands.

Nodding my head yes so he knows I understand and for him to continue.

"Well, first off  my brothers and I are not your normal werewolves. We are royal wolves, we are all princes if you like that word. We really don't, but its our title we have to keep it. As for me, I am the oldest and will become king in a couple of years. But first I have to be fully mated and a child in mine and my mates arms. It makes it so everyone knows there will be a heir to continue on with our line."

Wow he is a royal wolf? Thats kinda cool I guess.

"That is why we are moved here, so that you and me can get close to each other. I don't want to force anything on you right this minute that's why my parents gave us three years to meet the kingdoms rules."

Well wasn't that just nice of them to put a time frame on my love life, NOT.

"If we don't meet them or if you deny me then the kingdom would usually be passed on to the next brother and I will be banished from the kingdom, forever a rogue until someone kills me. Now don't get me wrong, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, but and that's a big but, if you don't feel the same way about me I would rather be a rogue and get killed then have to spend my life without you. You are my soul mate, my one true love and if I can't have you then I won't stay on this earth. I know that sounds harsh to you, but we were made to be together and if we can't be, well for a werewolf it's worst then death. Your heart gets ripped out of your chest and you become a walking zombie."

Not really knowing what to say to that I just stay quite, waiting for him to continue.

"That was the good news, on to the bad. The reason why you were never told about us or the prophecy was because it didn't just include you, your brothers, my brothers and I. It also stated that the future queen of the werewolves wouldn't just have one mate but three, of course there would only be one true soul mate, but none the less three mates. It was said that no matter who the mate was out of the three, that she would still become the queen and her mate the king. That's why earlier I said that the throne would usually be passed down, but not in this. Who ever you choose to be yours forever will become King of the werewolves."

"So your telling me that two more werewolves will be coming for me? Demanding that I mate with them just so they can become king?"

"Yes, that's what I am saying. They just want to become king. Me on the other hand could care less if I'm king as long as I'm with you. We could run away if you wanted to and I would follow you to the ends of the earth. I know you though, you wont back down from this, you won't leave your brothers and you will choose the right mate to keep by your side for the rest of your life, not in front of you, but by your side. I truly hope that I'm that mate, but I know its your choice so I wont force you into anything."

"Do you know the other two were's?" I ask.

"Yes, I know them and I don't like them one bit, not just because they will be going after your affections but because they are horrible men. They love to torment people, to hurt them. They won't think twice about killing someone even if its an infant.They live for the fight and kill. I will fight to defend whats mine and my families, but never will I enjoy taking a life. If you want to hear more truths about them you can even ask your brothers, they will know of them I'm sure."

"Do they know all of this? Everything that your telling me? My brothers I mean."

"No, they were told to keep you safe, to keep you away from men and were's. You were not allowed to have a boyfriend and definitely not allowed to get married. If you had gotten married and had a child, our world would have been in big trouble. You are the only one to keep the balance, just by being our queen you save our species. I know that's a lot to think about. You are a strong woman though and can handle all this with a mate by your side."

"So who are those people who came with you? If your living with me why do you need over a hundred people?"

"You don't miss a thing do you?"

He laughs a little while I shake my head with a little smirk curving my lips up.

"Well those people are part of my family pack. My family's pack is huge. It has over five thousand people in it. The men and women here with us have been training for years for this duty. They were picked to become your personal guards. From now on you will never be left alone. Even though most of the time you wont even know they are there watching you. It is their job to protect you until death."

"Why are there children here then? I won't let them step in for me."

"Oh hell no they won't. Their parents won't allow it and neither will I. I may be a hard man sometimes, but I would never send a child into battle. They are here, because their parents are here. I wouldn't drag them here without their family's. It keeps them calm and collected. True mates can't be away from each other without feeling the pull, the longer and farther you're away the harder it is to stay away. All you want to do is run into your mates arms and stay there for the rest of your life."

"Wow thats a lot Conner, is there anything else I should know?"

"Well you know how we got permission to move here with over a hundred people? If the other two find out where you are, they will be allowed to move the same amount of people here too. My parents have to treat each suitor as equals. The worst for me is that I can't stop them from being near you or for even taking you out on dates to get on your good side. We three have to let the others have a fighting chance at winning your heart. Now don't get me wrong, I will fight for your hand any other way I can and so will they. They might play a game where the other two get hurt or blamed for something bad that happened, but I promise you right now that I will not hurt you, someone you love, someone you even hate on purpose to get you to like me. I know that sounds stupid, why would I hurt someone you love, well those two bastards will do that. Your brothers already know to be careful and so do mine, but I'm warning you right now, those two will be ruthless in there attack at getting you to be their mate."

"Do I even have to meet them? I really don't want to right now. I'm already falling for one, why do I need to be tossed around?"

"You are? Really? Your falling for me?"

Smiling like a idiot, he watched my face go from tan to blood red from embarrassment. I can't believe I said that out loud. .

"Oh there's one more thing I have to tell you that's really important. When werewolves mate the male has to bite the female as they both cum, but with you being the future queen and having three mates that might get a little carried away and bite you out of the blue, only you can make him your true mate. You both have to bite each other in that special moment. Only then will you be fully mated with your one true love. I want you to think long and hard on everything you have heard today. Take as much time as you need. I won't push you to do anything you don't want to do."

"Will you be staying with me or at your hotel tonight?" WHY DID I JUST ASK THAT. ITS LIKE I JUST ASKED HIM TO SLEEP IN MY BED WITH ME. I MUST BE LOOSING IT ALREADY. I yell at myself.

"I would love to sleep on your couch tonight my love or if you have a spare bedroom that would be even better. I will never be far from you. If I'm not there then one of my brothers will be with others of your guard. I trust everyone of my brothers with your life. I know that your brothers will probably be around you more often now too, so I really have nothing to worry about even though I always will until you choose who you want."

" I have two spare bedrooms if you and your brothers would want to stay. The couch is very soft to lay on to. As long as you don't nag me about what my decision is about all three of you, your more then welcome to stay at my house. I would probably feel better anyways now that I know there are two other men or should I say werewolves after me now. You just have to do your own shopping and if I see something laying around you will get your butts handed to you ok? I will not be your maid, oh and you can't hire one either. " Smirking at what I just said.

" You got yourself a deal my love. Just because we are werewolf prince's doesn't mean we are slobs," Giving me his biggest smile ever.

"Oh, you think your just so funny don't you big guy?"

"Yes, I do and you think so to. That's why you will love me in the end, I will always be able to make you laugh even in those dark moments."

Rolling my eyes at him I start to walk away shaking my ass as I go. Turning around a little I blow him a kiss over my shoulder with a evil wink to top it off.

"Your so gonna get it Issy, you should start running, this big bad wolf is coming for you." He whispers, but I still hear him. I take off at the look on his lustful face.

Not even taking ten steps and I'm on the ground underneath him laughing my head off, while he tickles me to death." Please stop Conner, I give up you win." My eyes start to water at how hard I'm laughing, stupid man. Since he didn't stop tickling me right away I did the only thing I knew would make him stop instantly. Grabbing his head with my hands I brought his face towards mine slamming our lips together. The instant they touch sparks fly through me making a moan escape my lips. I faintly hear a growl come from Conner's throat. Know that if I don't stop now I won't be stopping at all.

Pushing him away as I break the kiss, I look into his eyes.

"I hope the other two never find you, I want you all to myself." He said as he stared down at me. Kissing my forehead lightly he pushes off the ground bringing me with him.

" Me to Conner, me to. We should get back my brothers are probably worried about me."

"Actually they aren't, they have been here the whole time love, so have my brothers. I'm pretty sure my brothers had to hold back a couple of yours just now when I took you to the ground." He gave me another evil grin. Stupid mutt." We wanted you and them to hear what I had to say. They are now completely caught up on whats happening. We should get back though, I'm starving and I bet so are you and our brothers."

With that, we start our way back to my house.

I had lots to think about, which man would I choose? I wanted to get to know all of them, but I would take into account what Conner and my brothers had to say about how evil the other two are. I feel alot for Conner and in my heart know that he would make me very happy, but I want to make sure that he is the one and only, like he said true soul mate.
