Kara's POV

Goodluck to the ten of us left.

Dahil gising na ang kinahihintay ng lahat.

Nagtinginan lang kami while the ground was shaking furiously.

Medea and I used our abilities to send Trev to Cesia's trance. At ngayong wala siya, ibig sabihin wala na rin ang mist na nakapatong kay Gaia.

Tumakbo kaming lahat and gathered infront of what seemed like a newly-formed hill at the center of the giants' lair. Gawa ito sa damo, mga bulaklak... just everything from the ground rose up.

Slowly, her face formed. Nakita namin kung paano nabuo ang mukha ni Gaia na nakapikit.

"Patay na tayo." puna ni Thea na nakanganga habang nakatingin sa harap.

Narinig namin ang sigaw ng mga gigantes at leviathans kasabay na napaatras ang mga amazons at huntres.

Gaia's mouth opened.

"I can breathe." she mouthed.

Her voice sent shivers down my spine. Hindi lang ako nakaramdam ng matinding takot nang buksan niya ang kanyang mga mata.

Her eyes revealed a toxic color.

It was green.

Pero hindi kami magkatulad ng kulay. Hers was brighter... brighter than the moon.

Tumigil ang mga mata niya sa'min. Dahan-dahan siyang napangiti pagkatapos makita kami. Kasunod niyang tinignan ang mga huntres at amazons sa ibaba niya.

Immediately, vines sprouted from the gorund and began climbing towards their waists.

Narinig namin ang mga sigaw nila. The vines are crushing them.

"We have to help them." ako ang unang gumalaw.

I threw my shield sideways to cut several vines from an amazon and release her. Like a boomerang, bumalik ang shield sa braso ko.

Sumunod sa'kin yung iba at tumakbo sa iba't-ibang direksyon para pakawalan ang mga huntres at amazons.

"There is no stopping me now." dumadagundong ang boses niya sa buong lugar.

I slid below a leviathan and jumped on its back. Nagulat ako dahil may humila sa'kin. It was one of those vines that came out of the ground.

Bumagsak ako with a painful thud. Nais kong makawala but instead, natagpuan ko ang sarili ko na naiiyak.

The vine around my leg grew thick thorns.

Napapikit ako dahil sa sakit.

Shit!

Binuksan ko ang aking mga mata at nakita ang sariwang dugo sa binti ko.

I couldn't get up.

By then, may gumapang na naman sa braso ko preventing me from moving.

"Agh-" I cried as my back hit the soil. Humihingal ako while sucking in the pain of the thorns digging deep into my skin.

Umiiyak ako.

I cried for Gods' sake. It was terrible.

I can't.

I was catching breath when I felt something cool cover my skin.

Water.

There was a layer of water covering my whole body. Hinila ng tubig ang makakapal na mga tinik mula sa balat ko.

It spread out and so did the thorns.

My wounds quickly healed.

Napatingin ako sa likod kung saan nakatayo si Matilda. There was light running down from her fingers.

Meanwhile, Dio was staring at me with a look I can't decipher.

Kumunot ang noo ko.

Alam kong makapangyarihan ang  mga katulad namin.

But I didn't know... about this...

Tumayo kaagad ako. I regained my stance and continued to attack the giants.

Hindi ko alam kung ano pero iba ang pakiramdam ko ngayon. Tila naririnig ko ang boses ni Athena sa utak ko.

Her voice...

Pero hindi ko siya naririnig ng maayos.

Umiling ako. Nababaliw na ba ako?

Tumalon ako at ibinaon ang shield sa likod ng isa sa mga giants. Madali akong natanggal mula sa pagkakapit sa likod niya.

I was distracted.

WHY THE HELL AM I DISTRACTED. I DO NOT GET DISTRACTED.

The giant swung his solid hand on my direction. Out of instincts, yumuko ako at kinuha ang shield.

My wrist was hurting.

I didn't have the time to look at it as I attempted to jump again. Surprisingly, ang taas ng talon ko. I was on the same height as him when I threw my shield straight to his neck.

Bumagsak ako sa lupa na nanlalaki ang mga mata.

Something's happening. I can sense it.

Still in the state of shock, hinanap ko yung iba.

Before I can look at them, I heard Athena's voice in my mind.

'Hear me, Kara. This is not the life I wanted to give you.'

What is she talking about...

'But you have made your mother see what you are worth.'

My right wrist began hurting again kaya napatingin ako.

A symbol made out of gold slowly carved itself into my skin. It's as if the golden blood from my veins is trying to form something.

A few seconds passed at nalaman ko kaagad kung ano ito.

Ω...

The omega symbol.

My eyes caught up with something glowing above me. It hit Gaia and exploded with blinding light.

I trailed from where it came.

Nakita ko sa dulo nakatayo ang isang babae na nakangiti. Her eyes.. shining gold like the bow she was holding.

And her hair... completely blonde.

Beside her is a guy with eyes and hair the same as hers.

Kakulay ng buhok nila ang araw na unti-unting sumisikat sa likod nila.

They summoned the sun. THEY WERE ABLE TO SUMMON THE SUN.

Like what their father does...

And then I saw Kaye... her eyes gold too. But she was moving around freely... like a ghost. She was semi-transparent.

What is happening.

I was busy staring at them. Hindi ko namalayang may giant pala na akmang atakihin ako.

Pero bago pa nangyari 'yon, a girl with red hair cut off his hand and dived towards his chest.

I stared at her for a while.

Hawak-hawak niya ang nag-aapoy na espada. The way she is standing right now, screams of Ares.

"Whatever this is, I'm feeling it." nginitian niya ako. Nahagip ng mga mata ko ang marka niya na katulad sa akin.

Napalingon ulit ako sa iba pang demigods.

Kaming lahat pala ay meron.

Another thing, their eyes were all gold.

Hindi lang ako ang may ganitong reaksyon dahil pati ang mga amazons at huntres ay napatitig.

"Kara..." napalingon ako kay Dio.

There was water trailing his hands. His hair turned a brighter shade of brown.

I haven't met Poseidon yet.

Pero may kutob akong ganito ang hitsura niya.

I blinked several times. "Anong nangyayari?" tanong ko.

"I don't-" natahimik siya bigla.

Sumingkit ang mga mata ko.

And then I felt it.

I felt Athena's embrace for the first time.

It was warmth and strength and everything a demigod could wish for.

It was the goddess' power.

The golden symbol on my wrist started glowing.

My hair draped on my shoulders. It was braided neatly. Bakit may pakiramdam ako na si Athena mismo ang nagbraid nito?

Deep inside, I know it because I know she loves weaving.

All of a sudden, napaatras ako dahil sa nakikita ko. I was looking at myself from another perspective.

Dali-dali akong napalingon sa direksyon kung saan nakita ko ang sarili ko.

What I saw... was an owl.

Does this mean...

Nakikita ko kung ano ang nakikita niya?

I felt a surge of strength possess me.

Ria was right.

Whatever this is, I'm feeling it.

"The final stage." Matilda sighed beside me.

"Final stage?" nagtaka ako.

"Our deities' blood is exceeding the limits. We are slowly gaining who they are and what they look like in the eyes of mortals." nakangiti niyang sagot.

"Shouldn't we die?" ang daming katanungan na pumasok sa isipan ko. Like how about power limits? Our body might not be able to handle this amount of-

Unless...

we were specifically designed for this.

"You're right, Kara. We exist for a particular purpose." tinignan niya ako. "...and that is to end the rebellion."

An idea popped up. Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ko ito naisip noon.

"Call the others. I have a plan." my voice filled with determination.

Ngunit may naalala ako...

This plan needs the son of Zeus and the daughter of Aphrodite. Asan na ba sila?

My question was answered from what seemed like a huge meteor falling from the sky.

It took everyone's attention including Gaia's.

And there I saw him.

His eyes gold and hair the color of a storm.

Pero hindi lang kami nakatingin sa kanya.

Sa babae rin na katabi niya.

She stood tall with her golden brown hair floating with the wind. Her gentle smile calmed the whole of me.

It was just what I needed.

Gusto kong mapanatili lamang sa kinatatayuan ko at mamangha.

I looked at my wrist and sighed.
