Chapter 7

Picture of dadd- I mean Julian. Hehehe

Julian's P.O.V

We were going with the confident approach, if we acted like if it wasn't weird that we were just...doing what we were doing, then they wouldn't find it weird. Right?

We were sitting across from Isabel, Beckett and that kid that's always around Aiden, Aiden and I were sitting next to each other with our knees subtly touching giving us the connection we shamefully needed.

"So what do you want?" Aiden asks breaking the deafening silence which occupied the room for quite some time.

"We just came to check on Julian, we got lost and he helped us." Isabel says still in a state of shock that I was choosing to ignore as she pointed at the brown haired boy. "The pack is worried with their new alpha being gone the first night."

"Julian what the hell is going on?" Beckett says losing the cool demeanor. "Nobody knows what the hell is going on. You disappeared since the ceremony and both your dads are brushing away any questions. We don't even know what's happening between you two, are you going to mate or reject each other?"

"I think what we saw earlier answers that question." The boy says snickering to himself as I shoot him a death glare that shuts him up.

"Everyone is just really confused." Isabel says acting as the voice of reason. "We need to know what's happening." It only just hit me that I haven't spoken to my pack since I became Alpha, I've been too caught up with the whole mating thing that I basically abandoned my pack.

"Firstly, we're not rejecting each other." I say glancing Aiden's way for a split second. "We're going to merge the packs."

"I'm sorry I thought you said merge." Beckett says laughing. "Because that would be totally insane to merge two packs with more than five thousand people in each."

"That's exactly what we're going to do." Aiden says sitting forward, pushing his shades back a little.

"Call a meeting for this evening, for both packs." I say looking at the three shocked faces. "We'll have it here, I want everyone here at seven on the dot, not a second later."

"But wh-"

"You wanted us to explain right?" Aiden asks with a raised eyebrows. "We'll sort everything out so just call the meeting." They all nod their heads in understanding before leaving the suite, when they're no longer in my hearing range I let out a sigh as Aiden sinks back into the couch.

"We have a few hours to plan what we're going to say." I say standing up my brain moving a mile a minute with topics we'd have to address.

"Please don't tell me you're going to write a speech." Aiden groans when he sees my serious expression he throws his head back groaning again. "Can't we just go with the flow?"

"No."

"I'm not writing a speech." He grumbles standing up so we're eye to eye.

"You're so infuriating! With your little h-" I stop myself taking deep breathes. "Calm down Julian. It's fine, just breath." When I'm calm again I look back at a clearly amused Aiden. "We'll make points, that's a compromise."

"Fine." He says in defeat. "Let's head to my office." We leave the suite and eventually make our way into an empty office space where Aiden hands me an empty book and pen.

"Merging is most important. We already agreed to claim the empty land that's between our two packs. We can build a large pack house for those who want to move in, others can remain in the old ones and they're usual homes." I start scribbling down the important stuff, so everything.

"It'll help with the growing populations. I swear these people reproduce like bunnies." His comment makes a smile slowly form its way on my lips but I quickly stop it trying to stay focused. "Next, what's going to happen to our betas, seltas and the other people that packs usually have one of."

"I hadn't thought of that." I whisper more to myself.

"You can't help your idiocy." A growl escapes my lips as he smirks, his eyes dancing mischievously behind his stupid shades. "So what will we do with them?"

"We'll have two." I say simply which makes him frown. "Would you rather them fight for the position?"

"Yes!" He says in a duh tone which makes me roll my eyes. He was one of those people who thought fighting resolved everything, it was really just a cheap glue that acted as the solution for a short while.

"Let's say we did it your way, what if Beckett won against your beta? Your pack would be angry, it'll form tension and jealousy before we even merge." I say twirling my pen in between my fingers.

"Oh...." He mutters to himself, "you're right." He statement makes me cheer internally.

"Imbecile..." I grumble earning me a glare that I shrug off as he digs his nails into the desk. "Be careful, you don't want wood getting stuck in your nails." I say with a smirk.

"Two betas, two selsas, two deltas and a shitload of elders. We'd be breaking the laws of nature or something." He says seriously.

"Isn't that what we're doing? Two male Alphas, but we're trying to make it work so they can too." I say gently, my words seem to affect him as he smiles brightly at me.

"What about our practices? Our packs are very different in almost every aspect. We both do physical training, mine involves yoga and from what I've heard, yours includes rogue hunting." I say making his smile fade at the mention of rogues.

"We'll share techniques, your pack is truthfully one of the strongest out there and so is mine. I'm sure they're things from both packs we can trade." He says surprisingly.

"That actually doesn't sound bad." I say with a faint chuckle.

"And as for the rogues." He says his voice getting deeper. "They deserve to be massacred, each and every one of them should die and I'm not changing that."

"Nobody likes rogues, but there's no reason to kill them for sport." I say returning his cold tone.

"Do you have a soft spot for those things!" He spits aggressively. "They just bring death and misery!"

"Have you forgotten that some of those rogues used to be one of us! That some of them weren't always that way! That they may have ate breakfast at the pack table with us before turning!" I shout back now standing.

"That doesn't matter! Once you become a rogue you're no longer one of us." He snarls slowly rising to meet my height. "They're a threat and any threat to my people I will destroy."

"Even when those threats have kids?" I ask making him tense a little before returning to his killer expression. "Rogues have kids and families and lives. Not all are looking for trouble and those deserve to be left alone!"

"Can't you see that a threat with a family is still a threat!" He booms at me as his temper rose, his wolf possessed the Alpha gene and he was clearly hating being challenged. "How could you be so blind?!"

"I'm not the one who needs help seeing." I snap before I reach over and grab his shades, before he could react I crush them in my hand as he watches the pieces fall to the ground. "This is why I hate you! You don't care about the consequences, you just do! You're an annoying, spoiled, self absorbed ass that needs a reality check that I'm happy to give. Just because you're an Alpha doesn't make your actions okay! It's not okay!" I finish as his eyes glow a bloody red, his fists clenched so tightly that it paled.

"Get. Out." His voice was so low it sent involuntary goosebumps up my back.

"You know with those eyes and all that growling you almost look like one of those 'things'." I say looking him straight in his aflame orbs before leaving the room swiftly.

--------

"Will you please hurry up or we'll be late." I shout waiting patiently for Aiden who was taking his cool time getting ready.

"I'd of been done much earlier if I didn't have to find another pair of shades. You've been my mate for what? A day and I've already lost two." He grumbles as he walks towards me in a  simple muscle-t and ragged, black jeans.

"That is what you're wearing." I say pointing at his outfit, he glances down before looking back up with a proud smile.

"I'm not going to talk to my girlfriend's parents, I'm going to talk to my pack." He says with a slight chuckle. "Plus, you're dressed good enough for both of us. It'll be our version of good cop, bad cop."

"Yeah whatever, let's just go." I say walking out the suite while rolling my eyes.
After our little argument we hadn't talked for the entire day, I was accustom to not speaking to him and hating his presence but it didn't feel as good as it did before. It was just uncomfortable and awkward to spend the day trying to ignore the annoying pull as we avoided each other as much as possible. It was surprisingly Aiden who made the first move at conversation, when he was asking what was for lunch. I don't think we would've talked if it wasn't for his inability to make a meal, after that we were back to our familiar, civil way of hating one another.
It didn't take long before we were on the stage of the white, stone hall that was overflowing with our now silenced pack as they stared up at us with a range of different expressions.

"Good evening everyone." I start, they all reply quickly before I continue. "Firstly, we'd like to apologize to everyone for not talking to you all sooner. We understand how confusing this whole situation is but honestly, we were just as confused as all are." The comment makes some of them smile a little.

"Addressing the obvious, Julian and I are Mates." Aiden says diving straight into the fire. "We don't know how or why, but we are. I get how this might be hard to believe since we are both men, but it is what it is. If you're not comfortable with two guys as your Alphas then now is your chance to leave, because I'm not rejecting him." The crowd along with myself stare at Aiden in disbelief and slight awe, nobody leaves so I guess that was a good sign.

"Since we're mates and both Alphas we'd have to merge the packs." The sentence sends the people in a rising wave of conversation, which was expected. Aiden raises a hand which immediately silences them.

"We'll be searching, clearing and claiming the large span of land that lies between our packs. We'd build a new pack house while keeping the other two, the new land will help with our expanding packs to build homes for those who desire them." Aiden's words lead to yet another branch of conversations. "Roger and Felix?" The conversation dies down as the two men stand up immediately, Felix handled the construction in my pack and Roger for Aiden's. "How long do you think it'll take you two to build a pack house twice the size of the average one?"

"Well, it takes me about a month for the usual one." Roger says glancing back at Felix who nodded in agreement. "About two months."

"After we claim the land you two are to start immediately, I want it done in one month. We will start searching the lands tomorrow, we'll need a team of fifty men, talk to me after if you are willing to help." I say quickly scribbling some notes into the small notebook.

"How are we to work together when we have never done so before? And I'm sure we both have different methods." Felix says with a bewildered expression.

"The same way Aiden and I are doing it, you figure it out." I say before looking around the room. "That's how things are going to be now, everything will be doubled. Meaning two betas, two deltas, two gammas and the list goes on and on. You'll have to work with people you have never met in your entire life but that's what we have to do for the good of our packs. I know this is hard and a lot to pile on you at once and I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do about it." People still seem on edge after what I said, making me sigh.

"It's difficult for us too." Aiden says loudly. "It's no secret that we absolutely despise each other to the point where murder has crossed both of our minds. But we, for some reason that escapes me, turned out to be mates. It's hard and it's not fun but we're making it work or at least trying to. If we can all try to make this work we have the chance to make the most extraordinary pack on the planet!" This seems to rile people up a bit as some shout in agreement. "Don't you all want to be unstoppable, unchallengeable?! I don't know about you all, but a pack with double everything with not one but two alphas would scare the shit out of me." This caused laughter and smiles to spread throughout the entire room.

"I know we can do this! We will become the greatest pack this world has ever seen!" The entire room shakes from the shouts of agreement and excitement as everyone stands hollering in joy as they celebrated. I couldn't help but smile a little at their reaction, I was a little scared they'd be more troublesome but everyone was on board. I watched as Aiden continued to rile the people us more and more, suddenly he turned back to face me with a devious smile that made me frown.

"No, no, no." I warn as he strolls over to me quickly.

"Yes, yes, yes!" He says smiling as he grabs my hand, dragging me towards the edge of the stage where he raises our locked hands. I swear that I'd go dead from the response of our crazy pack, ignoring it I smile brightly at them as I watched over my people.
Each and every one of them.

--------

"I'm so tired." I say as both Aiden and I lie down in his bed.

"Why did so many of them want to talk after?" He grumbles rolling himself in the sheets. "At lease we have men for tomorrow."

"You have to wake up at four to scout the land, good luck with that." I say with a mischievous chuckle.

"I'll just sleep right after." He says sleepily.

"Seems like someone forgot about a certain building which is opened five days a week, six hours a day, serving living food occupied by hormonal teens." I say laughing as he groans out loud in realization.

"Shit!" He shouts angrily. "Do I really need an education?"

"More than anyone I know." I reply laughing uncontrollably.

"Shut up." He groans but I can't, after a full minute of continuos laughter he pulls me into his chest immediately silencing me as my body rejoiced from the contact I'd been itching for all day.

"What are you doing?" I ask looking up at him through the darkness that surrounded the room.

"Sleeping." He says as he wraps his arms around my waist as he slides his legs between my own,  forcing one of my own onto his. Slowly and cautiously, I let my arms slide around his waist pulling myself closer to him so I could sniff him. My wolf and I were drowning happily in the pleasure we were feeling being in his warm hold, whenever we touched it was as if fireworks were lit inside me as bolts of electricity shot throughout my body.

"Good night Aiden."

"Good night Jewels."
