Chapter 17
"I'm going to go get them!," I grumble pacing back and forth.
"No, you mustn't it's too dangerous for you goddess," Octavia utters concernedly.
"What is the point of being a goddess if I can't even fight back?"
"You aren't ready to be one," moon casually says as he plays with a colorful rock within his hand.
"What do you mean by that?," I crease my brows in confusion.
"Enough with this! I'll go get them back," Luka firmly says getting up from the couch.
"What did you mean by that moon?," I re-ask ignoring Luka's remark.
"I have to train you. Teach you how to use your powers. If I don't moon knows what'll become of you," Octavia intervenes answering for moon who seems unfazed by it all almost seeming bored.
"Become of me?," I mumble still not understanding what these individuals mean.
"Believe it or not goddess, but you are very powerful more powerful than the goddess of fire, so with that said with great power comes great responsibility. You must learn how to control your inner goddess if you don't she'll control you completely for the worst," Octavia explains.
"Luka sure met the inner goddess already didn't you pal?," moon mischievously smirks.
"That explains why you almost tried to kill me," Luka breathes.
"I tried to kill you?! What?! When?! Where?! How?!," I shockingly utter.
"You were ice completely when I found you near that river. You tried to strike me with some sort of energy which being the alpha I am I dodged. However, you turned a tree into ice completely," Luka responds.
"I don't remember that at all besides when I got pushed by-"
I gasp, as I remember exactly that day I almost drowned in the river. My eyes widen staring directly at Octavia. "It was you. You striked me with your wand which pushed me down the cliff and into the river. Thanks to you, I almost drowned!," I hiss pointing my index finder at her.
Suddenly, I watch as Octavia's dark eyes widen in fear glancing down at my hands and directly at me. "Alyja you need to calm down," Luka cautiously says as he stares at my hands. On the other hand, Moon seems very entertained by what's happening right now. I glance down seeing blue energy flames cover my entire hands. The more anger I feel the more these flames grow.
"Look goddess, I'm very sorry for that, but I only did it to help you transform into your goddess form," Octavia nervously response gulping down her saliva.
"By sending me to my grave?! I almost drowned don't you understand that?!," I growl.
"Through pressure like that is what triggers the goddess form unfortunately. It challenged you and well as you know it... you met your inner goddess that way."
"Now that your inner goddess is approaching. Let's start your training to control this beast. You never know what beasts you'll have to encounter," Moon grins sending a wink towards Luka whom shoots him an angry glare. I furrow my brows not sure of what that exactly means.
"Any who, goddess Alyja I want you to focus on turning those blue flames of yours into ice," Moon sternly instructs.
"How do I do that?"
"Command it," Octavia responds.
I try my hardest to 'command it' and nothing happens. The blue flames in fact are more larger than a few minutes ago. "I-It's not doing it! I can't do this," I mutter annoyedly.
"So Luka how was it kissing that dark haired she-wolf? You sure like to get around don't you?," Moon sarcastically says.
This sets my energy to a whole new level as I remember that day I caught my mate having intercourse with another she-wolf. Luka growls at Moon then nervously looks at me taking a few steps back. "Use that same emotion you're currently feeling to command it. You have to mean it and take control of it. Only you call the shots," Moon bluntly says.
I do what he says using this anger I feel towards Luka to command my inner goddess to do exactly what I want it to do. The same way I believe in the mate bond and moon whom I got to meet in person now. I just have to believe in myself. I have to have faith in myself.
I can do this.
(Pretend this is Alyja lol)
Within seconds, my blue flames decreases turning into a white energy and soon enough frost develops within my hands completely covering it. Pure coldness steams out of my hands as I stare.
"Bravo!," Moon claps his hands standing up from the chair.
"I actually did it," I chuckle proud of myself.
"Fuck, I must go now!," Luka hastily says turning his heel around bursting out of the cabin. I have no idea what made me do such a desperate move, but I decide to go after him.
"Where are you going this late Luka?," I ask worriedly. I know he's an alpha and most likely needs no type of help when it comes to danger, but being his mate it's only natural for me to feel so worrisome over him.
"Stay back Alyja!," Luka shouts as he continues to jog towards the woods without looking back at me. "Luka talk to me! Why do you always leave in such a rush at night?," I ignore his remark following behind him.
"Alyja!," Moon calls out from behind me.
"ALYJA, STAY THE FUCK BACK!," Luka growls out loud as he turns around looking at me. Something is terribly off here. Luka's crystal blue eyes are fading away into a dark color which I've never seen before.
Is this normal?
Luka winces as he glances at the full moon above us in the dark sky shining directly at him. I take a few steps back feeling my heart beat irregularly not knowing what is going on. "Are you hurt?," I mumble lifting my hand in the air reaching slowly towards him.
"RUN!," a much deeper voice almost demonically comes out of Luka. My eyes widen definitely realizing whatever is going on with him right now is nothing normal.
As I step back, being clumsy as I've always been. I trip against a rock which makes me tumble down on my butt. Unable to move, I glance at my mate that I have no clue if he's still even himself. My eyes travel down to his fingertips witnessing a horrific view I've never seen nor read about ever in my life. His hands aren't his hands at all. What happens next has my jaw down to the ground. I watch as sharp pointy claws cut through his nails that managed to turn a different color just like his skin right in front of me.
Luka growls turning his heel around sprinting into the forest disappearing from my view completely. I sit on the ground unable to speak nor move as I try to process what I just witnessed in front of me. I hear footsteps coming from behind that belong to Moon and Octavia. "You shouldn't of seen that," Octavia huffs crouching down to check on me.
"That's nothing," Moon scoffs.
"Moon stop it!," Octavia warns throwing a glare at him.
Octavia helps me stand back up not once do I turn away from the direction Luka ran to. "Goddess, please say something. Are you alright?," Octavia worriedly asks as she faces me trying to get my attention. However, I can't focus on anything nor anyone being completely frozen to the spot.
"You better give her that tea of yours or I'm going to have to call Amnesia to erase this part from her memory," Moon sternly says.
"No! Don't you guys dare!," I snap finally being able to speak coming back to reality.
"Luka is going to be pissed at us," Octavia shakes her head.
"What did I just see?"
"Nothing it was all in your imagination," Octavia chuckles.
"I've heard that before by your dear friend Adamaris, so I ain't falling for that one again. As your goddess, I demand you to answer my question," I firmly say to Octavia. Octavia turns to look for Moon, but to our amazement, he's gone. Nowhere to be found. When he left?, that I don't know. Where did he go?, I definitely have no clue.
"Damn it Moon!," Octavia grumbles.
"I'm waiting!," I cross my arms across my chest waiting for an answer.
Octavia glances at me letting out a sigh before she says, "Fine goddess, what would you like to know?"
"That wasn't my mate. What the heck was that?"
"You sure you really want to know about alpha Luka?"
"Tell me," I sternly respond hiding the fact that I'm currently afraid of what I just witnessed and questioning myself if I really want to know the answer. What I saw tonight minutes ago isn't at all normal. This is something beyond me. Whatever was happening to Luka had him in pain and running away from me like if his life depended on it. The change within himself is something even I can't comprehend. All I know is that it wasn't my mate.
This entity is demonic.
"Alpha Luka is going to be so mad at me," Octavia sighs.
"That you saw was alpha Luka shifting into a-"
Octavia stops taking in a deep breathe seeming almost too terrified to even speak to me about whatever she is about to say. "Uh huh shifting into what?," I urge on.
"A Lycan"
