In the Alpha League living room, Flame and Genos were playing a video game when Humatrix appears in human form looking exhausted. Not to mention was in a jacket, corduroys, and glasses, in addition he was carrying a satchel on his shoulder. "Worst.... day.... ever..." he said before collapsing onto the couch. Then turned back still in the outfit, one that was akin to a professor or teacher.

"What's with you? And why're you wearing that?" Genos asked cocking a brow, "oh that's right I never told you guys about my side gig" he said. "Side gig? This is the first I've heard of you having a side gig" Flame said.

"Back on earth I have a on and off job as a substitute biology teacher" Humatrix explained, "oh that's nice" Misty said entering he room. "It is yes... but when you actually see my students you'd take back your words" he responded taking off his outfit staying in his base form. "How bad can it be being a teacher?" Genos asked going back to his game "really hard, my students complain about some projects being too eccentric, others do the same only about he fact that I use actual animals for dissection. Both about how gross it is and that it's animal abuse. When it's clearly not!" Humatrix said.

"And don't even get me started on what happened today" he said walking to the fridge and grabbed a plate with a slice of cake. "Hey I called dibs on that!!!" Haywire yelled before Humatrix used his powers to replicate it by seven.

"Oh... never mind" he said as he Matrixian walked back to the couch eating, "so what happened today?" Overdrive asked. "So my class was on the topic of mollusks, specifically Cephalopods. Then one of my students had retorted with" Humatrix then adjusted his voice to sound like a bratty teenage girl. "There all the same type of gross sea animals, what's the difference between a squid and an octopus anyway" he mocked.

"Yeah considering your background it's reasonable to find that irritating" Nighto commented sitting on a nearby recliner. "But out of curiosity what is the difference between a squid and an Octopus?" Misty asked her curiosity peaked as she is only composed of sentient DNA.

And not animal DNA like earth creatures, she was curious about what she wasn't made of. "Here we go" flame said as he and Genos paused the game and the input switched to display a giant squid and a pacific giant octopus. "Though both creatures are part of the same genus with the same three hearts nine brains, chromatophore camouflage, parrot like beak, ink and jet propulsion, they are different in so many ways. The obvious difference is it's body" Humatrix said pointing out the two sea creatures physical features.

"The Octopus has a plump round body or rather mantle, which holds its organs such as it stomach, brain, hearts, gills and Jet propulsion. The squid on the other hand has a much longer streamlined mantle otherwise known as a pen with two fins at the tip of it" Humatrix explained. "In addition are their arms, while the Octopus has eight, the squid has an extra pair of tentacles which pull its food in".

The image then zoomed in on the creature's tentacles "while both have arms covered with suction cups the Squid's suckers are lined with razor sharp teeth. It's distant cousin the Colossal squid has an even more deadly weapon, no suckers, just razor sharp hooks lining each arm and both tentacle ends" he added.

A third image of the Colossal squid appears with the terrifying hooks, "not a pretty thing to have grabbing you" Humatrix then switched to a different image. "In addition habitat, most species of Octopus live on the sea floor, crawling along the bottom avoiding the watchful eye of predators. Squids on the other hand swim freely in the open ocean, often seen in the deep dark depths" he added showing he two habitats the animals are commonly found.

"Cool" Misty said gazing at the creatures "THATS WHATS ON A SQUID'S TENTACLE?!?!" Flame and Genos yelled shocked by the lethal arms. "Also the toxicity of both, the Octopus is significantly more toxic than squids" Humatrix then changed it to the image of the cephalopod blasting ink or latching onto a crab.

"The Octopus's ink contains several toxic chemicals that deters predators and can even be lethal. Unlike their deep sea cousins, in addition our eight armed friend is equipped with venom able to kill a human. Evident of the blue ringed octopus" Humatrix then put up the image of said octopus.

"I see" Overdrive said, "was this your presentation?" Nighto asked, "not today's" Humatrix replied before changing the image back to Flame and Genos's game. "That about all I wanted to say" he added as the two went back to their game, "that was interesting" Night Mist said smiling, "I'll say" Haywire added.

"Note to self, lay off calamari until I'm sure they don't use hooked tentacles" Nighto said. "I'm just glad I didn't explode about the kraken in class, the things actually real but he doesn't want to be found out. Speaking of, where is my Krakeb whistle?" Humatrix asked. That was until they heard Professor Mark screaming, going up his lab they saw him being man handled by and thrashed around by a giant tentacle coming out of his sink.

"Mark what did I tell you about borrowing my Kraken whistle!!" The Matrixian Yelled, "HELP ME!!" The scientist screamed. "Oh man it's got the same hooks like the squid" Genos said noticing the creature's tentacles had hooks.

"Just keep still, Kraken will let go once he senses you aren't worth the catch" Humatrix advises. "Or it kills me!!!" Skeleton Mark exclaimed out of no where, making Flame throw him into the monster.
