 Chapter Five

Lucas’s POV

Standing on the stage next to my mother as all the girls kissed me, one by one; I couldn’t take any notice of any of them, as I was too entranced on this one particular scent.  It was like a mixture of fresh Lilies and Jasmine, with a touch of pine. I have to find out who owns that most beautiful scent, I told myself, while some girl was trying to shove her tongue down my throat. The scent was becoming stronger, looking out along the line of girls, my eyes locked with the most beautiful girl who I have ever seen.  “Mate!” my wolf, shouted with so much excitement. I was struggling to keep my wolf under control, as he just wanted to take her now, and claim her as his.

 After managing to get my wolf under control, I jumped down off the stage and ran up to my mate. Without breaking our eye contact once. I could hear all the girls around us shouting and screaming abuse at me. However, none of them mattered now; the only thing that mattered to me right now was this beautiful girl standing right in front of me. My mate. As I wrapped my arms around her waist, I could feel the power of our wolves drawing us closer together. My body started to explode with pleasure. Sparks shot through every part of my body; it was as if bolts of lightning shot through me, making my body feel like it was on fire. I looked down at her luscious lips dying to get a taste of them, leaning in closer towards her my heart began to speed up so much, I thought it was going to explode. Our lips were just millimeters apart, and just as I was going to ask her for permission, she crashed her lips against mine, making my wolf howl with joy. The kiss started off slow, but then it became more intense. Tracing my tongue along her bottom lip asking for access, she gladly accepted. She opened her mouth, my tongue slid in I began exploring, as I hungrily tasted every part of her mouth.

 “WHAT?!” I shouted at her, feeling frustrated. As soon as I saw the look on her face, I felt so bad. “Sorry Sky,” I apologized. “What’s wrong?” I asked softly.  I could see the tears, building up in her eyes. “It’s Alisa, please help us Lucas, she needs you now,” she said, as her tears where streaming down her cheeks. I grabbed hold of my mate’s hand and ran with Sky towards Alisa.

Sky got me up to date with everything that had gone on, and that’s when I saw him grabbing hold of my sister. My vision started to go red, as I charged at him ripping him off my sister and pinning him down on the floor.  “Get her to the pack house now.” I told Sky and Autumn through our packs mind link, making sure that only they could hear me. ”Ok,” they replied. Watching them as they both grabbed on to my sister, I watched until they had run out of the clearing. I still had him pinned to the ground.  I had to let him go, as I could tell that his wolf was about to take over, and I didn’t want my dad to notice anything, well at least until I had Alisa out of here. Knowing Mason was by my side, I quickly asked him to get a couple of our friends to take care of him, so they can keep him well away from the pack house.

 I didn’t take my eyes of him once.  “YOU ARE NOT MY SISTER’S MATE, I SUGGEST YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HER, OR I WILL MAKE SURE YOU WILL NEVER SEE DAYLIGHT AGAIN. “ I threatened him. However, as he was next in line to be Alpha as well, he did not back down.  “I WILL HAVE HER. MAYBE NOT TONIGHT, BUT I WILL MATE WITH HER! MARK MY WORDS.” He replied, using his Alpha tone. I did not have time to stand here and argue with him, I needed to get Alisa out of here, before it was too late, I thought to myself.

 As soon as I reached the pack house, Clarisse and Mason were waiting at the front door. “She’s upstairs in her room with the others,” Mason informed me. As we entered the house, I took off running towards her room. “Alisa,” I called out, as I ran over to her. Pulling her into a hug, I tried reassuring her, “It will be all right Alisa.”

 After explaining everything to her, and introducing my mate, “Lucas they are here,” Clarisse told us, in her sexy voice. “Ok let’s get this done.” I told everyone. Giving Alisa one last hug, I whispered into her ear “I love you Alisa.”  “I love you too,” she replied. What felt like only a few minutes later, I could see the car with my sister in it, pulling out of the drive. For the first time in my life, I felt my heart break. How could our father do this to her, I thought to myself.  I felt Clarisse wrapping her arms around me. “Lucas, it will be alright, she will be well looked after. I promise you,” she said, while laying her head into my chest. Knowing Clarisse’s father, the Alpha of the Blue moon pack was nothing like my power hungry father, helped me to relax a little.

Mason, Clarisse, and I started to make our way back to the party. Taking a look, around the clearing; it was as if nothing had happened. I stood there staring at everyone drinking and having fun. It was our eighteenth birthday, me and my twin’s party, yet we weren’t the ones having all the fun, I thought myself.

Everyone was starting to leave, so I went over to my mother and father and told them I was staying with Clarisse tonight. “Have you seen your sister?” mother asked.  “Yeah, she said she was tired so she went to bed a while ago.” I replied, without looking at her. ”I hated having to lie to my mother, but I knew she would only tell my father and for now I needed to make sure Alisa is safe before anything. “Ok, have fun you two,” she replied in a giddy tone. I gave her a quick kiss on her cheek and made my way to my car.

Just as we were pulling into the drive of Clarisse’s pack house, I could see a few of the pack members standing on the porch.  “Clarisse have you informed your father that I was coming?” I asked.  “Yes, he knows and he has agreed to wait up for us too. He will be waiting in his office for us.” She told me.  I could sense she was nervous, but also excited about telling her parents, that I’m her mate.  I gave her a quick kiss, to reassure her. We both got out of the car and walked hand in hand towards the pack house. I could recognize a few of the group from The Lakers football team, as I have played against them, a few times. “Hi Clarisse, Hi Lucas,” one of them greeted us. Recognizing it as Jake, “Hi,” we both replied. We carried on walking into the pack house, and went straight to the Alpha’s office.

A couple of hours later, after we had told her father everything. From us being mates, to what had happened with Alisa. We both said our good-nights and then went off to bed, but not before quickly checking up on Alisa first. Opening the door, to the room Alisa was staying in, I noticed her fast asleep curled up in the corner.  My heart broke the moment I saw her, I walked over to her and seeing her tear stained face just crushed me completely. I gently picked her up, and carried her over to the bed. Clarisse was standing there with a blanket in her hands, ready to cover Alisa. Clarisse placed her hand in mine and gave it a light squeeze.  “Come on Lucas let her sleep, we will talk to her in the morning,” she said as we left the room.
