“Princess please try get some sleep I will be here with you all night as tomorrow is going to be another long day” he said as he placed a gentle kiss on my lips. I gave him a small smile trying to reassure him I was alright but knowing dam well he could see right through me, ”night blue eyes love you”, I said “Love you too princess”.

Chapter 28

Ricardo’s POV

Seeing my princess breaking down was heart shattering. I cuddled her close to my chest for the rest of the night fighting with myself to not fall asleep. As I wanted to be there for my princess encase she has another nightmare. Because the nightmare she had earlier scared the life out of me. I cannot wait for this to be over with I hope she decides to sentence her dad to death, as it is hard enough knowing that her mum is still out there trying to kill us, I thought to myself.

 I knew tomorrow was going to be a really hard and long day for her as tomorrow will be the sentencing day for most of the rogues we had captured. Although I would rather Alisa not to attend, the meeting I knew deep down she needed to so she could say, what she has been holding in. Also having the final say on the sentencing I am hoping it will actually help her mentally cope with the last few months.

I know it has been hard especially now with Lucas and Clarisse not doing well. But I am so proud of my princess as she has been stronger than any of us, and I am dam sure if I was her I would have given up on life along time ago, but no not my princess she’s my little fighter.

I just laid there watching her sleep.  In addition, I could tell by her slow even breathing she was having a peaceful sleep. I kept staring at her thinking how lucky I was too been chosen by the gods to be her mate. Even though we have been through a lot nothing will ever change my mind on that and when our pup is born, I am hoping everyone that was involved in all this mess will be dead and buried.

Alisa’s POV

The next morning I woke up feeling great, as it was the best sleep I had in days. ”Morning princess” I heard my blue eyes sexy voice say. ”Morning to you too my sexy blue eyes” I said giggling. I turned around so I could face his sexy body our eyes locked, and I was shocked to see my baby had big black circles around his eyes and he looked like he didn’t sleep at all last night. ”Ricardo baby, why didn’t you sleep last night you look exhausted?” I told him truthfully. He looked away and said,” I slept fine”, “don’t try and cover it up blue eyes, you stayed awake encase I had another nightmare didn’t you?” he turned his face back around to face me and the look on his face said it all.

He had so many emotions showing that it was easy to see he was hurting and knowing I had caused all that worry and hurt killed me.

After we had showered and got dressed we went down stairs to the kitchen where all the elders and highest in command was sitting at the table eating breakfast. “Morning all” Ricardo and me greeted them, “morning” they all relied as we both took our seats alongside the Alpha and Alpha female. Breakfast went by fast a bit too fast if you ask me. Because although I wanted to face this and get it over and done with, the nightmare I had, last night has made me more nervous and scared of what could happen. I will make sure I am never alone and I will not wonder off at any time, I told myself sternly. The Alpha then cleared his throat silencing the whole room, “can everyone step into my office when they are finished so we can go over some last minute details please?” he said in his calm Alpha tone.

I sat there waiting for everyone to leave the kitchen, as I wanted a few minutes alone with my blue eyes so I could sort a few things out before we go to the Alpha’s office. Within ten minutes the kitchen was completely empty “Ricardo I need you to do something for me,” he went to cut in but I placed a kiss on his lips stopping him from what he was going to say. ”please baby I need you to hear me out” he nodded letting me know to go ahead.

 “I want you to stay beside me at all times today please”. “Also I am going to let my dad have his say first”, “but I am going to be asking him questions you are not going to like the answers too” ,”hell I know I am not going to like them either, but I need us both to keep each other’s wolfs  under control”.” I have however chosen his sentence already, but I want to talk it through with Lucas before I sentence him.” I stayed quite for a while letting everything I had just asked of him sink in.

” Alisa I love you more than anything in this world, and I will protect you until the day I die”,” baby I will do whatever you need me to do, but I want you to promise me one thing” I nodded for him to go on as I was trying desperately to hold back the tears.    ”Once your dad is sentenced, you will let everything go. baby our pup is due soon and all of this has been so much for you so I want you to have a complete rest and no matter what comes our way you will let me deal with it.” He said softly but I could hear a touch of his soon to be Alpha’s tone coming through. ”I promise I choked out as a few tears managed to escape my eyes. He then leaned down and kissed me with so much love my legs were turning to jelly. “Come on we better go before everyone starts getting impatient”. He said as we started to make our way towards the Alpha’s office.

When we arrived in the Alpha’s office, everyone seemed to look at us with pure pity in his or her eyes. ”Alpha may I speak for a minute please” I asked. “Please go ahead Alisa,” he said in his Alpha’s business tone. “Hello everyone. First of all I would like to thank you all for supporting Ricardo and me through all of this mess, as I know it hasn’t been easy for any of us”.

 I could see a few of them wanted to say something but I needed to get this all out quickly as I was not feeling as strong, as I knew I looked. ”Today I would like for none of you to pity me. As I need you all to make me strong and not weak. I don’t mean that to sound bad ,as you all mean so much to me”, “and one last thing, today I want the sentencing carried out so I can get on with my life and my mate.”

 Everyone in the room was silent for a while before one of the elders spoke up. ”Alisa you are a very strong women and I know when I speak, I speak for everyone here in this room”. “We are all honoured to have a soon to be Alpha female as strong and as honest as you”. “We will always be here for you to support you as you are a part of our family and pack now.” He said with so much pride and love I could feel my eyes filling up. ”Thank you so much all of you,” I said from straight from my heart.

Looking around the room and thinking to myself, I realised for the first time in my life what I have been missing. It was love and honesty. In addition, for that I have so much respect for everyone in this room right now for showing me that.

After about an hour of last minute plans and rules, we all stood up and made our way out of the office. We had all agreed that straight after lunch we would interrogate and carry out the sentencing of the most dangerous rouges, which thank God included my dad.

I was just finishing my lunch well playing with it when the Alpha entered the kitchen “ok everyone lets go” the Alpha ordered.  He turned around to exit the kitchen with everyone following behind him including Ricardo and I.

It did not take long for us to get to the stairway of the cells. When we started walking down the stairs, last night’s entire nightmare started to play flash back in my head. I felt the palms of my hands getting sweaty and my body starting to shake as my nerves started to get the better of me. ”Shush baby, everything is going to be alright”.” No harm is going to come to any of us today ok?” Ricardo whispered into my ear while wrapping one of his arms around my waist calming me down.

I stopped and kissed him on the lips getting the strength of my mate to help me through this.” Thank you baby” I said in a whisper. Now feeling stronger and calmer, I lead Ricardo down the rest of the stairs with him close to me.

 We walked over towards the cells that held the most dangerous rogues. If you did not see their eyes. On the other hand, if they did not have that rotten scent. You would actually think that they were normal werewolves.

 I looked into the first cell that had Mason and Jason was in. Their eyes were blood red showing that they were hungry for blood. As when they chose to go rogue, they had left their wolfs take over their bodies, leaving their human side die.

The guards entered into their cell and chained Mason and Jason up, making sure there was no possible way for them to escape. Knowing we were going to have to walk through the rest of the pack to get to the clearing. Therefore, we had to take extra measures to protect the pack.

The Alpha had also placed some of his best men to stand guard around where the sentencing would take place to insure that nothing could go wrong. As it had taken us days to set everything up making, sure we left no escape route for them to escape.

The  Alpha then lead them from the cell  out into the clearing there was about ten fighter wolves surrounding the two of them the whole time which I was grateful for. We reached the clearing where some of the elder were already sitting down waiting to interrogate them. Two guards stood alongside Mason and Jason while another two were standing directly behind them.

“We will now start the hearing.” The older man said silencing the crowd around us. He then looked at the two men standing in front of him. ”Jason how do you wish to plead?” he asked. I kept looking at Jason’s face trying to see if there was any regret or sadness in his expressions. But there was none his face was just stripped from any emotion.” Not guilty” he replied with a slight laugh. It made me sick to think I had ever known him.

The elder then said “guards can you remove Mason please as we will now start this case with Jason”. A few minutes later, the questioning began. I felt sick and angered by the lies he was feeding the elders. Although I wanted to scream and shout at him, hell even kill him. I managed to keep my mouth shut with the help of Ricardo.

After what felt like years later the Alpha had asked me” if I wanted to question him.” To be honest though I did not need to add to what was said already. As it was overuse, he would be sentenced to death now.

I never really knew Jason as I knew Mason. In addition, even though they were cousin’s I did not really get to know Jason that much. I thought to myself before giving my decision. “No thank you Alpha” I replied truthfully. “Ok now we have heard everything that Jason had to say and as Alpha and protector of the Blue moon pack. I hereby sentence Jason burns to a slow death!” Everyone in the Blue moon and Blood moon pack cheered as the two guards lead him away to his death.

“Next up is Mason, bring him forward guards please.” The elder ordered the guards. Mason was then escorted up to the elders by four guards. I began to study his face as soon as they started to interrogate him. However, evil he looked all I could think of was how we had all grown up together. Moreover, how Lucas and Mason were best friends for most of their lives.

 I listened closely to everything he was asked and his reply. His face held no emotion at all. However, every now and then, I could see a flash of sadness and remorse but as quick as I seen It, It would be gone.  Listening to Mason reply to the questions he was asked was breaking my heart. Nevertheless, I had to push my feelings aside so I would not put my future pack in any danger. Although I wanted to save him, deep in my heart I knew I had to do the right thing. “Alisa would you like to ask Mason any further questions?” the Alpha asked me.

 I looked at Mason then back to the Alpha before I answered him “yes please Alpha”.  I walked up to stand in front of Mason with Ricardo right by my side. “Mason I have one question for you but before you answer I want you to think ok?” I asked him. He nodded his head “you will answer yes or no” the Alpha said annoyed that Mason had been rude to the future Alpha female “yes “ he said holding his head down. “Mason I want you to look me in the eye and tell me what made you go with my mum and dad?” I asked as he looked into my eyes. His face went from being blank to full of emotions, there was so many even his eyes were turning from the blood red to his normal sparkling green eyes. “I was ordered by the Alpha and Alpha female and was told if I disobey I would be instantly killed” he replied. “So Mason why didn’t you tell me or Lucas or better still run away” I asked. As soon as I asked him that question, he started to cry. Everyone that was standing around us started talking until Alpha Jackson silenced them all. ”Mason I am waiting for an answer” I said in a stern tone.

”They chipped me so they knew where I was at all times”, “that is why I stayed away from you and Lucas when you moved here with the blue moon pack.”  He said between his sobs. I looked over at Alpha Jackson and we both were thinking the same thing I could see it in his eyes, as I knew he could see it in mine. ”Mason why did you let that girl rape Lucas? Why didn’t you help him?” I asked trying to keep as calm as I could as this question was the hardest for me to ask especially in front of both packs.

 You could hear most of the pack gasping while others were trying hard not to change into their wolfs. Mason then looked me in the eyes “Alisa I was weak, towards the amount he had in the pack, and there was nothing I could do to stop him as Jason was his main man and he had me with Jason all the time.” He replied.

I walked over to Alpha Jackson and spoke so only he could hear me. “Do you think we could honestly save him?” I asked. As right now, I was starting to feel sorry for Mason. As I now knew, he could not of fighted as there was too many. He could not run away because they had chipped him. Nevertheless, the main thing was, could he have really been the innocent one in all of this, I started thinking to myself.
