Prologue

Under a bright blue moon that only rise every millenium is a little girl with a pair of silver eyes and  her long silver hair covering her face.

She trembled with fear in the middle of the cold winter night; Alone in the storm. The blizzard is strong, but strangely, it didn't extinguish the fire devouring the whole forest.

She looked at her little hands, filled with blood; Horified. Her supposed to be whte sleep wear turned crimson.

Demons are lurking around and all she could hear is the screams of agony from the pack members.

All the little child could do is silently cry while covering her mouth to stop herself from sobbing; Afraid that the demons would hear her cries.

She looked back at the burning place that just yesterday is a home to her.

The fifth kingdom that met its downfall in the hands of that powerful evil being who betrayed them.

'Mother, Father. . . ' she called them in her mind.

'Run. Just run without looking back. Our only wish is for you to live my child. . .' she heard her mother's gentle voice, talking to her through telepathy.

'I'll be back, mother. I'll find some help! Please wait for me!' she answered as she sprinted accross the burning forest, barefooted.

Fear consumed her as she noticed that a demon has seen her and is currently running after her.

"Child. . . It's me, your father, why are you running from me?" Said, a terrifying voice that's similar to her father's.

She trembled and stumbled but it didn't stop her her from standing up to sprint faster despite the numbing cold.

She halted when she faced a tall hill and tried to go another way, but demons started swarming all over the place.

All she could do is hide.

Losing hope, she peaked at the demons with her eyes filled with fear and anger rosing within her heart.

"Come with us, my child. . . ." The demon's voice echoed through the forest.

"No, you're not my father. . ." the child mumbled, frightened and in pain as she stared at the blood in her hands.

The blood of her parents who protected her.

"I know you're there little pup. Come out here before I lose my patience as I might get harsh if you don't show yourself." The demon said in a sweet manner with his terrifying tone making her tear up even more, that her visison is getting blurry.

"You wouldn't like if I get mad right?" The demon added. "I can smell your fear, there is no point in hiding!" The demons laughed as their voices are getting closer and closer to her.

Filled with fear, the child could only cover her mouth, stopping her gasps.

She closed her eyes tightly when suddenly, she felt a pair of arms grab her. As she was about to squeal, the arms from the unknown darkness covered her mouth as it pulled her into the abyss behind her.

That was the last time the only survivor of the fallen fifth Kingdom was seen.

***

It was more than two centuries since the fifth kingdom met its demise and fell from the hands of demons. The Alpha and Luna has fallen along their pack and the fifth Kingdom was now ruled by the mysterious entity who betrayed them.

***

At the hidden forest before the present time, there are two mysterious entities lurking, waiting for the right time to reveal themselves to the world. . .

"Nimue. . ." A gentle voice called from the dark forest.

A silver wolf with her fur dirtied by blood.

The wolf with a silver fur then transformed into a very beautiful woman, you'd mistook her for a goddess.

A woman with a long silver hair and a pair of cold silver eyes, filled with blood lust.

"You hunted rogues again?" a woman named Nimue, radiating with a dark aura, asked the silver wolf.

"I Just wanted to let out some steam," the woman said in a cold manner. "It's their fault for wandering freely near our land. Even if this mountain is hidden to everyone, we can't risk it," she hissed.

Nimue just chuckled. "Come on, don't overthink everything, child."

The woman just rolled her eyes while cleaning the blood  of the rogues she killed.

"I don't want you causing pointless ruckus once the council finds some lead, where the oldest witch is, after her long disappearance," the woman added then accepted the cloth that the witch handed her.

"That's right," Nimue giggled then sipped her tea. "So what are you planning from now on, child?" she smiled.

"Simple. . ." The look on her silver eyes became dark and menacing.

Just by her glancing at her eyes will make anyone shiver in fear.

"Vengeance," she mumbled under her breath. "A one tormenting vengeance, Nimue," the silver wolf added, gritting her teeth.

"Still, you should be careful. The world outside of this mountain is way different. The enemies would be far more formiddable than those rogues that they pale in comparisson. You must be careful, especially with the Lunar council. . . " Nimue warned.

The silver wolf nodded her head. "I will," she sighed. "I'd have to change my appearance first, so no one will know," she added.

"Yes, you should conceal your identity. Your existence alone will cause havoc into this world," the oldest witch, Nimue agreed.

"I know that perfectly well. . ." she smiled but it didn't reach her eyes.

Her smile is cold and frightening and her eyes is filled with a great desire for vengeance.

The existence of a very powerful being that the new king of the fifth kingdom desires.

A being that will shake the world up once they knew she's alive.

"You should also remember not to cross path with the reigning Emperor, Alpha Hendrix," Nimue advised.

"Who is he?" The silver wolf asked.

"The Alpha who reigns over the five kingdoms. He is known as the oldest living wolf, and came from the direct bloodline of the first creations of the moon goddess. Although he is not involve, it's best to keep yourself out of his eye as it'll be hard to deal with him. Especially that you're gonna fight the Lunar council head on," Nimue advised.

"Okay, I'll keep that in mind," the woman said as she took the necklace that Nimue was handing her.

That night, the silver wolf decided to embark on a new journey and finally leave the place she grew up in, to seek vengeance.

"Thank you for everything Nimue," she smiled at her then hugged the oldest witch, tight.

The oldest witch, Nimue, felt emotional, watching the child that she raised like her own, leave her protection. However, Nimue knew that this day would eventually come. The time that her child would leave to seek justice for her fallen home, once she's strong enough.

"Take back everything they snatched away from you, child. Your freedom, your family and your home. . . " Nimue uttered making her nod.

"The only thing I wish for, is you come back here, alive and unscattered. . . " she added.

***

A few years later, and the child from the fallen kingdom has continued her journey. With a new identity, she's waiting for the right time to carry out her plan. . .

"Where am I?" said a deep cold voice the moment he woke up in the middle of a forest, one winter night.

"If I remember it correctly, it's not yet winter, so why is it snowing? Is this a dream?" He mumbled as he stood up from the snow and started walking around.

"For a dream, this is too realistic," he commented as he looked into the bright moonlight; His golden eyes shone beautifully under the full moon.

He's emmiting a menacing aura that even a king would shiver just by the sight of him as he walked throughout the mysterious place.

"Why am I conscious in this dream?" he asked himself.

Then he halted as soon as he saw a bright light and a thick smoke coming from the dark forest.

As he was getting closer, he started hearing screams, but the loudest of them all is a child's cries, yearning for her parents.

The man felt all kinds of emotions while listening to the child. He felt her grief, agony, pain, fear and her anger.

After thousands of years of being alive, he had already forgotten what those emotions were. He thought that he already had gotten completely numb, so being able to feel the same emotion as the child caused him confusion.

"Who are you?!" he shouted.

He tried running after the cries, but it had gotten weak until the echoes faded away.

The man halted as he looked around the place; Lost.

Then, as soon as the child's cries completely vanished, the most fragrant smell he had ever smelled suddenly filled his nostrils. Along with that is his heart suddenly beating fast like it's about to burst out of his chest.

"Mate! Finally, it's our mate, Hendrix!" His wolf almost jumped in joy.

He could finally see the mate that he's been waiting for. Someone they all believe he isn't given because of the sins that his blood carries.

"Mate!" he shouted with a deep voice that echoed throughout the burning forest.

He ran around in search for his most-awaited mate until he reached the end of the burning forest.

"Mate. . ." he mumbled as he saw a woman staring at the beautiful full moon in the middle of the frozen lake.

Alpha Hendrix felt breathless the moment the woman with the most beautiful silver hair and a pair of dazzling silver eyes looked at him.

"Help me. . ." she mumbled.

"Luna—"

"Alpha Hendrix!" A voice called upon his name, waking him up from his dream.

Alpha Hendrix, who would finally meet his most-awaited Luna, was woken up by none other than his Beta, Aztec.

A murderous intent filled him as he glared at the man who barged into his room. "Aztect!" his voice thundered throughout the room.

He annoyed the Alpha plenty of times, but Beta Aztect never saw him this mad for just waking him up.

"W-What?" he stammered. "You told me to wake you up early! why are you ma—" Beta Aztect didn't even finish his sentence when he suddenly flew out of the room, having been effortlessly thrown by the reigning Alpha.

The Beta crashed into the tall tree outside, also waking up his cousin from his slumber. "Devon! help me!" Aztect whined at the masked man who swiftly came down from the tree where he was hiding to protect the Alpha all night.

The emperor's ghost that no one knows about, other than the empire's pack.

"Devon, turn that man over, I'll f*cking rip him to shreds," the Alpha growled, ready to pounce on his Beta with his mind set on ending him.

'Oh, sh*t! Did the Alpha finally lose it?! Is it over for me?' Beta Aztect said at the back of his mind, trying to find a place he could run off to.

Though it would be impossible to escape the reigning Alpha's grasp.

As the Alpha threw another attack, it was suddenly stopped by Devon, using only his hands, shaking the ground due to their clash.

Devon; the only being who could stop ‌Alpha Hendrix.

"Don't get in my way, Devon," the Alpha said coldly, his eyes filled with bloodlust.

"I'm not," Devon said firmly. "However, keep in mind that we are not in the empire, but in the Lunar Temple for the conference. The councils along with the Kings are here, so we can't let them see that you and Beta are fighting or they might take advantage of it," Devon explained then sighed. "Please calm down, my lord," Devon uttered coldly.

Alpha Hendrix couldn't do anything but spare the Beta's life.

The Beta could only let out a sigh of relief. For a moment, he saw his late father waving his hand to him, from the other side.

"Get ready for your punishment when we come back, Beta," Alpha Hendrix warned, making his Beta tremble in fear as he could only hide behind his cousin, Devon.

"Devon?" The Alpha called Devon's attention. "Take at least one belongings from the unmated women around Lunar Temple and give it to me at the end of the day," he ordered.

"Consider it done, my lord, " Devon obliged no matter how strange the order is.

The reigning Alpha had a dark expression on his face as his Beta tailed him from behind.

The dream he had where he met his long-awaited mate is still lurking on his mind; it's driving him mad.

Seeing a glimpse of hope made him smile, making the witnesses tremble in fear.

"I have a mate. . ." he mumbled as his golden eyes darkened at the thought of finally having his Luna by his side after thousands of years of waiting.

"I'll come find you, Luna. . ."
