" sir your next case has just cancelled a few minutes back. The patient's child is vomiting and not feeling well so she is extremely sorry that she has to cancel at the last moment. But one new appointment has called up, he is on the phone . He is saying he is just five minutes walking distance away and he is in intense pain..should you see him sir or I transfer the case to Dr Lana? But she can only come in the afternoon after lunch. This patient definitely has an emergency, he is begging to be seen right away."

Prae, his beautiful receptionist knows doc Kongpob for three years now. He is a reknowned dentist, strictly doesn't like walk in appointments,and only see prior appointment patients and critical cases which his juniors cannot handle.

Prae looks at the 32 years old alpha, trying to gauge his reaction.,he is handsome, well established, and a talk of the town with his enviable status and family position but also he is very particular about his own set of principles and family values.

Well no one can blame him, His family is made up of all established doctors, his father is the private doctor of his royal Highness, infact this multispeciality hospital belongs to Kongpob himself, where he has established this big dental wing with every state of the art facilities. He has always been fascinated with face aesthetics and dentistry has given him the challenge of mixing medicine with artistry and smile design and people rever him for his skills as well as his position.

" ok call the patient, I will see him,." Dr Kongpob is not happy but Lana, his junior surgeon has already taken a prior informed leave till lunch time . She has a hot date and Kongpob is not a cruel employer, especially when he is free for next thirty minutes before the consecutive appointment.

As assured and promised by the patient to Prae, within five minutes Kong's dental assistant comes in with the news that the patient has already arrived and is waiting outside . The alpha dentist tells his assistant to get the operatory ready and to bring the patient in..

The first thing that hits him before he sees the patient is the enchanting fruity smell mixed with the smell of his favorite northern deep woods after rain.. His eyes widen, changes colur to amber tinged with red , when he glances at the omega walking inside the operatory holding another betas hand . Must be his friend . one side of the omega's face is swelled double in size, marring his beautiful features but what alarms Kongpob more than the fact that the smell is calling onto him, that this alluring creature, his fated mate , his omega is blind ..

Kongpob controls his pheromones , which has spiked up and has gone haywire with  only one whiff of the potent smell, but he has to control himself.. he is not just an alpha who has met this blind omega whom he is sure is his mate , now foremost is, he is a doctor and he is a patient. His first job is to alleviate the omega from the excruciating pain, then they can may be talk ?.

The omega gives him a low bow before taking the dental chair with the help of his friend. Kongpob looks at the eyes, they look vacant but the colour of the eyes are deep lavender almost shining.. so mesmerising !

Kongpob inhales a deep breath and stills his heart for the customary check up. Its clear to Kongpob, just taking one look at the offending tooth that the omega needs a root canal treatment of the infected tooth. He informs both the omega whose name he learns as Arthit and his companion about the needed treatment and also quotes price of the whole procedure, not to rise any worm of suspicion in the omega's or his companion's mind..

" see I have told you so many times not to have so many sweets Arthit, but you never listen. Now you have to get this painful procedure done to save your tooth." The male beta with Arthit scolds, but though his words are stern his voice is extremely gentle to the poor thing with a huge swelling on his face. .

" don't scold me knott. I am anyways scared."

The beta named Knott , Kongpob observes doesn't scold anymore and just helps the omega to get up and seat on the adjoining chair, away from kongpob... as Kongpob starts writing the medication in the prescription and explain it to knott the do's and don't s of the procedure.. Kongpob is glad to be away from the close proximity of his mate but is happy to see him in front of his eyes as he occasionally glances at him and flinches seeing the omega almost crying in pain., what a paradox of emotions is he feeling? ..

Today's appointment, to the relief of the alpha dentist ends with only giving medication, but tomorrow he has to face tbe omega again stoically and do the procedure . A huge task since the patient's mere presence is wrecking havoc on his libido but his vacant blind eyes haunting him..

" see you tomorrow Mr Arthit Rojanapat. Be on time .. we will do the procedure as pain free as possible. Don't worry." Kongpob can feel the apprehension oozing out of the beautiful omega but he dares not touch him. The beautiful man's mere presence confusing as well as enchanting him.

The omega on the other hand just nods his head politely and give a customary bow to the Alpha's direction as he takes his leave with his friend. Throughout the check up Kongpob has observed the omega is a silent type and was only answering his queries in short clipped sentences ..

Kongpob is also sure the omega hasn't noticed the alphas smell or that he has met his fated one, since the pain must have been uppermost in his mind ..but tomorrow will be a different story.. he will be alleviated from the pain immediately after the medication starts and the omega will definitely notice his mate's unique smell.. then what?

Kongpob sits down on his chair, the enormity of events of the past fifteen minutes crashing down on him.. the day he has been waiting for has come..he has had his fair share of partners but he always knew he has a mate waiting somewhere for him, the fated one who will be his forever, the bearer of his heir, his worthy partner ..

.. and that mate has himself walked into his life..quite literally has walked into his dental oparetory.. but is he worthy of him?..For The alpha Kongpob Sutthilak, the lone Sutthilak heir ..

the mate who cannot even walk without a stick or a arm guiding him how will he take care of the Sutthilak name and the huge responsibilities that come with it? And what will society say? The great Kongpob Sutthilak's mate is disabled..he is blind! Kongpob calls Prae and tells her to cancel all appointments for today, surprising and shocking her but he needs time to think..

He walks off from the hospital hurriedly and gets in his car thinking about Arthit..he is undeniably beautiful, his voice so soft, his manners so mellow, and he can't forget the deep lavender eyes with no sparks of vision in them .. Kongpob cannot believe in such a short time Arthit is the only thought that is running in his mind, like he has instilled himself instantly in the core of his being..

..his whole soul refuse to forget the fruity smell .. his hands can't wait but itching to touch the pale smooth skin, his lips tingles with the anticipation of the pink lips on them soon..his own Amber eyes shines with the dream of those deep lavender orbs holding his gaze..

He sighs for the upteenth time as he lies awake on his bed., he has to face his mate tomorrow..he cannot just runaway from the fate nor transfer the case to Lana like a coward.. but he will not culminate the bond. Arthit is his mate yes, but his blindness is a extreme hinderance for a man like him who has such a high position in the society not to mention so many expectations,

..the bond needs to be rejected.. he decides as he closes his eyes at the wee hours of the morning..

a beautiful honey brown wolf is running through the field, his furs shining in the first morning light ..his own large dark grey wolf following the smaller one..as he runs and runs..the flowers part , the trees becomes sparse the warm green meadows stretches for miles.. but they don't stop.. they run and run and disappear in to the horizon.. the brown wolf turns back, becknowing the darker wolf to hurry and catch up

..the sunlight so blinding and bright but the dark wolf sees the other clearly..the lavender eyes shine...
