                        Notes:

With Maleficent in charge, the Moors became a safer place. Sometime later, she lifted the ban against her grandmother, allowing Fiona to live there. The Witch Goddess and Witch Queen also moved into the Moors at this time. Maleficent tried to bring her mother home but Malvina was too far gone in her revenge plot.
   She refused to return.
A few years later, Maleficent's sisters left the Moors, intent on finding their own destinies. Each would suffer for one reason or another.
Gothel, Primrose, and Hazel were old enough to strike out on their own at this point in time and each were very fairy like just like their mother and sister.
Every woman in the family was born with translucent skin a light dusting of unusual colors, long dark hair (aside from Primrose), eyes that glowed brighter when magic was used, large wings, and other inhuman features.
Malvina was a tall fae woman born with translucent skin a light dusting of green, long straight thigh length black hair, amber eyes that glowed bright gold, large demonic/dragon like wings (that which she got from her father, Strega), and large black horns that poked from the top of her head with thin purple stripes.
Her partially fae, partially demonic, partially dragon like appearance was mostly passed onto her eldest child, Maleficent, though she maintained a more angelic look. She too was rather tall, dark, and imposing with translucent white gold skin a bit warmed over thanks to her father, Phoenix, long waistlength brown hair, green eyes that glowed an even brighter green, large angelic/phoenix like wings, and a pair of black horns that grew from her head.
Gothel was more fairy like in appearance than dragon, demonic, or angelic looking with her somewhat shorter yet more curvy body, translucent skin dusted a light powdery pink color, long waistlength curly black hair, gray eyes that glowed a bright silver in color, large dragonfly wings, glittery skin, and a mass of butterflies and dragonflies in her hair.
Primrose was born to look more like her mother and eldest sister but with a lighter aura than them, still tall with translucent skin a light dusting of lilac or lavender, curly dark blond hair that fell to her mid back in length, blue eyes that glowed an ethereal blue, large colorful butterfly wings, and decorative golden marks on her body.
Hazel was the most human looking of her siblings, aside from her skin color, unusual eye color, and wings. She was average height of a woman with translucent skin a light dusting of blue, straight black hair that fell to her mid back in length, purple eyes that glowed an even brighter purple, and large bat like wings. She had no fancy markings, horns, or anything that set her apart. In fact, when most of the family lost their fairy like appearance, she was able to blend in with humans for so long even her own family couldn't find her!
Six years since their father's death when Gothel, Primrose, and Hazel turned 16, they struck out on their own.
Gothel had a second home away from the Moors, a garden paradise that existed in plain sight of the human world. Those six years after her father's death, a few years after her sister's coronation, she saw fit to visit it once more, along with the little family of faes she had made over the years during her moments of escape from her father's cruelty while he was still alive. With her, she brought her oldest and dearest friend, Jacób (Zaek-oob) Facilier whose name she always pronounced wrong (as Jake-ob), a half fae, half human guy, the son of one of the fae queens and a Frenchman.
As the next couple of years passed, Gothel learned how to grow the magical golden flowers that could heal the sick and injured. It was sometime later that Gothel gained the same obsession for humans that Maleficent had.
She let a few into her garden but they were cruel and hated magic. They destroyed her garden after tormenting her. Of everyone who lived there, only Gothel and Jacob escaped with the last surviving golden flower. They disappeared into the Deadwood Forest then for many years.
Primrose didn't do much during her time outside the Moors, prompting instead to experience life a bit and mother her own set of pups. Hazel was taken in by Queen Mab, the Queen of the Undead, who taught her all about death, the afterlife, and other things. She planned to make Hazel the new queen when she either died or stepped down.
Meanwhile, Stefan returned to the Moors years later but not with good intentions.
Stefan was the youngest of three sons that ruled a kingdom not too far from Roseland known as the Highlands. Magnus, the eldest, went on to rule their father's kingdom when he died. Carrick, the middle child, took control over their mother's former kingdom.
That meant that if Stefan wished for a kingdom of his own, he'd have to marry into one or conquer one. At the time, Andromeda had nearly reached her 16th birthday and Stephen was growing more and more frustrated by the day as he tried desperately to think of a way to save his daughter without declaring war on the faes and weres as he knew he'd never win.
Stefan, having learned of the King's situation, visited Roseland to offer his help. King Stephen thought long and hard on how he might be able to make a deal with the prince and finally came up with a plan.
"I have a daughter." He began his explanation. "She's beautiful, mere weeks from turning 16 and an evil witch cast a spell on her that would cause her to fall into a sleep like death. I'd like to prevent this curse from coming to pass. If you help me stop her, you can marry my daughter and rule my kingdom."
"What would I have to do?"
Stephen was quiet, glancing around to make sure no one else would hear their conversation. "Kill Malvina and her daughters. Put an end to the scourge that is their family line. And...bring me back proof of at least one of their deaths."
Stefan held out his hand in a gesture of respect. "Deal." They shook on it.
The next day, Maleficent was doing her morning patrol when she ran into an old friend. Just like that, it was as if no time had passed between them. They frolicked through the fields and played like they did as kids.
At some point during their joyful reunion, Stefan asked after Maleficent's family. "Mother left when she was banished and my sisters...they've all gone out to see the world."
"Do you think they'll ever come back?"
"I don't think so. Gothel has her garden and Hazel has her new mother and Primrose...well she always was a bit of a loner."
He gave her what she thought was true love's kiss then. Later that night, Stefan took a knife and cut off Maleficent's wings. Afterwards, he took them and disappeared into the night.
He returned to Roseland and presented the wings to King Stephen. The king was so pleased at his work that he kept up his end of the bargain. Stefan moved into the palace and spent his days with Andromeda.
When Maleficent woke up and found her wings gone, she balled. She learned through the grapevine what Stefan had done. Angry, she permanently separated the Moors from the human world and plunged it into darkness, taking over as the Evil Queen.
A few weeks later, the eve of Andromeda's 16th birthday arrived. Stephen and Leah threw a grand party to celebrate, inviting everyone for miles, royalty, nobility, and several fairies. Six powerful fairies granted gifts to Andromeda, wishing a happy life to the special girl.
As the day progressed into evening, Stephen kept an eye on everything, having multiple guards everywhere to make sure nothing went wrong. Finally, as the sun started to set over the horizon, Andromeda retired to her room to put away her gifts.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in her room, a tall woman with light green skin and horns. "Am I too late to give the special princess a gift?"
Andromeda shrunk back in fear. "My father warned me about you! He said you were a witch! A villain!"
"Yes your father would lie about who is the true villain in all of this." Malvina said, sadly. "After all, it's what he does best. He lied to me, offered me a kingdom if I helped him, then he took it from me, took you from me."
   "Who are you?"
   "I'm your mother."
"No." Andromeda said, shaking her head. "That's impossible."
"It is the truth. I loved you and he took you away. I really...didn't want it to come to this but he has to pay for what he did. He took you from me. Now I take you from him."
Before she could ask any further, Malvina pulled out an enchanted blade and pricked Andromeda's finger, the sleeping curse spreading into her like a poison until she fainted on the spot. Malvina picked her up and laid her on the bed then, with her magic, she turned the castle into a fortified tower and covered the entire woodland area in thorns and brambles. That done, she disappeared back to the Forbidden Mountain, not to be seen again for many years.
When Stephen learned that the curse had been activated, he turned his wrath onto Stefan, shouting that he'd trusted him and believed in him, offering him his home, his wealth, his kingdom, and his daughter, all part of a deal he betrayed. He threatened to go back on his word and send the not-so-young prince packing.
But Stefan had gone too far to turn back now. He unsheathed his sword and ran the slightly older king through, killing him instantly. His sudden death caused the queen to go into shock and she fainted, hitting her head on the way down, dying on impact.
Stefan turned his attention to the fairies and he forced them to wipe the memories of the king and queen's deaths as well as crown himself as king. In return, he would rid the world of the scourge that was Malvina and her children. Should they refuse, he would eradicate all faes from existence. They reluctantly agreed.
That evening, he was crowned king. He then sent a letter to an older monarch he knew would help him with his plan to rid the world of the vermin that was faes forever: Queen Ingrith. He rested assured that with her help, soon Malvina, Maleficent, and everyone else would soon just be an unpleasant memory.
This in mind, he looked for a way to save Andromeda. Finally, the older fairies were able to get a message to Nana who explained the curse was like poison, allowing the opportunity to suck it out in much the same way. This Stefan did, waking Andromeda up. He spread lies that Malvina caused her parents' deaths which she believed. They went through with their marriage and, for awhile, they believed they were living happily ever after.
Unfortunately, the sleeping curse had left a residue of poison that infected her womb, making it impossible for her to get pregnant. Getting desperate, they sent for Nana. Blue came instead, explaining that her grandmother had disappeared shortly after Andromeda had been saved and her mother had been banished from the fae community--especially the fairy godmother community--for numerous crimes she had committed. She removed the poison and blessed Andromeda with the ability to procreate.
After this, Andromeda conceived four daughters: Talia, Rosabelle, Aurora, and Briar Rose. Worried that Malvina may return or that Maleficent would continue her mother's work, the king and queen opted out of the large extravagant parties they would've thrown to celebrate each daughter's birth and instead had small celebrations where they invited only family and close friends to attend. All this was meant to prevent any of Malvina's line from learning the truth and cursing their daughters as Andromeda was.
Meanwhile, Declan's brothers, as well as other lesser known family members of his, grew angry with Maleficent. Not only had her mother murdered Declan but everyone in their family line was following in her footsteps. Add onto that, Maleficent had lost her wings. They counted this as a sign and banished her. She vowed vengeance on them as well.
One day, Maleficent was wandering about the human world when she noticed a young raven caught in a hunter's net. Using her powers, she turned him into a man, freeing him from the hunters, and saved him. After a short conversation, she learned his name was Diaval. In exchange for saving him, Diaval promised to serve Maleficent for all time so long as he could remain a beautiful bird when he wished. On this, they agreed.
Sometime later, though no one knows how, news reached Maleficent that Stefan and Andromeda had a daughter. She immediately showed up to Briar Rose's christening, surprising everyone as the king and queen thought they had been so careful as to prevent Maleficent from learning about their daughters.
"Well, well!" Maleficent said. "What a glittering assemblage, King Stefan. Royalty, nobility, the gentry, and..." Here she paused as she noticed Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the only of the six fairies still alive, and laughed contemptuously. "How quaint! Even the rabble."
She stared down the lover who had betrayed her. "I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation."
Stefan lost his temper. "You weren't wanted here!"
Maleficent feigned a look of hurt and giggled. "There's that famous temper I'd heard so much about!" Another giggle. "Oh dear, what an awkward situation!"
She turned to leave when Andromeda spoke up, "You're not offended?"
"Why should I be?" Maleficent beamed evilly, unaware that the woman she was looking at was her baby sister. "Just to prove that I bear no ill will, I will bestow my own gift upon the child."
"We want nothing from you!" Stefan shouted, coldly.
Maleficent blasted back the guards and the fairies. "Listen well all of you! The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, in sweetness and wisdom and generosity, beloved and adored by all who know her."
"That's a lovely gift." Andromeda said, hoping to calm the witch.
    "Don't do this." Stefan shouted.
"But," Maleficent continued, as she noticed a spinning wheel, "before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, and fall into a sleep like death! A sleep from which she will never awaken!"
"No!" Stefan shouted. "Maleficent, please don't do this! I'm begging!"
"I like you begging. Do it again."
Stefan knelt before Maleficent. "I beg you."
Maleficent smirked as she thought of the perfect revenge. "Alright. The princess can be woken from her death sleep but only by...true love's kiss. This curse will last to the end of time! No power on earth can change it."
As the guards rose threateningly, she added, "And now that it is spoken, the curse is already set in motion. Nothing can stop it now."
With an evil laugh, she disappeared.
Stefan and Andromeda argued over what to do to protect their children. Blue finally warned them that it would be best if they separated the daughters and sent them somewhere safe.
It was decided that since Talia was the eldest and couldn't forget where she came from that she would remain in Roseland. Rosabelle had proven that she had magic so she was sent to live with Blue. Aurora was sent to the captain of the guard and his wife, older people who had no children of their own. And, finally, Briar Rose was sent to Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.
Meanwhile, Maleficent returned to the Moors and challenged her uncles to a fight which she won. With their deaths, everyone bowed to her again.
Sometime later, Diaval asked, "Why curse the child?"
"I don't want to punish the child. Just her father. Stefan betrayed me, used me, cut off my wings, all for a throne. He will regret it." She turned to him. "I want you to find wherever they are hiding their daughter and bring her to me. You are still loyal to me?"
"Of course, Mistress. I owe you a life debt."
   "Good. Find her."
It didn't take long before Diaval found Briar Rose. Maleficent was less than pleased that the fairies seemed unable to care for the child. "They're going to get the little beast killed."
From that moment on, she raised Briar Rose as her own. Sometime later, she learned that Briar Rose was only the youngest of four. This presented her with an opportunity: cause all to fall under the curse and break Stefan's spirit more.
Maleficent asked after her sisters but the only one who answered back was Primrose. Gothel was too ashamed as she had lost her wings and her power and Hazel was too busy. Next, Maleficent tracked down her mother who agreed to help and enlisted the help of Fiona as well. She told them to find the other three sisters and make sure they pricked their finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel.
Malvina didn't find Talia until her birthday. She disguised herself as an old crone and snuck into the castle. Talia was wandering the castle that night when she saw an old woman using something she had never seen before. The old woman was kind and offered to teach her. When Talia sat in Malvina's place, she was immediately enchanted into pricking her finger on the spindle wherein she fell asleep.
Rosabelle was raised by Blue who taught her how to use, enhance, and control her powers. Fiona found her quickly and made plans on how to cause the girl's curse to come true. She was as patient as she was clever. Come Rosabelle's 16th birthday, Fiona tricked the fairies protecting her and lead the girl into a trap, finally forcing her to prick her finger. The curse had claimed its second victim.
Primrose kept things simple when it came time to curse Aurora. Aurora, however, was the only one who knew of the curse and knew how to beat it. She stood up to Primrose, thinking her to be Maleficent, and told her she knew she'd beat the curse, just as her mother had.
Primrose forcibly pricked Aurora's finger on the spindle, causing her to fall under the curse. After she did that, Primrose used a different curse on Philip, turning him into a monster known as the yaoguai.
As Maleficent raised Briar Rose, she grew to care for the child. Finally, she attempted to reverse her curse but it was too late.
"This curse will last to the end of time! No power on earth can change it. And now that it is spoken, the curse is already set in motion. Nothing can stop it now."
It didn't help that three curses had already been fulfilled. The last could not be taken back.
Meanwhile, Stefan had become cruel over the time that his daughters were sent away. Andromeda had died, unable to ever see her kids again, and this caused more problems. Though Maleficent tried to prevent Briar Rose from falling under the curse, Stefan took his cruelty to another level and pricked her finger himself.
Maleficent lost it. She fought Stefan and finally put an end to his evil. Then she broke down into sobs.
"We can fix this, Mistress." Diaval said. "All she needs is true love's kiss."
"There's a reason I said that. I said it to punish Stefan. True love doesn't exist. It didn't exist for mother when she fell for Stephen. It didn't exist for me when I fell for Stefan. And it doesn't exist for Beastie."
    100 years later...
A young king, already mated to his Vixen, was on a hunting trip when he got separated from the rest of his hunting party. Lost and alone, he continued riding until he found himself in an old ruins. He wandered around, finding nothing but old ruins, thorns and brambles, and many skeletons.
Eventually, he found the one part of the old palace still standing: a tower. He ran up the stairs until he reached the top. Upstairs, he found a large ornate bed upon which a beautiful young woman was resting. Enchanted by her beauty, he kissed her. Yet she did not awaken.
After his time with her, the king left the old ruins and found the rest of his hunting party, heading once more for home.
What he didn't realize was that Talia had become pregnant from this encounter. While still under the curse, she gave birth to two daughters. One day when the girls were nursing, one accidentally sucked on Talia's finger and the flax from the spindle came out.
   Talia awoke.
Sometime later, the same king from before returned again. He was surprised when he learned Talia was awake and had given him pups!
He decided the best course of action was to take her home with him to his kingdom. His people and his family were delighted, especially with the news of two new children but his Beta Vixen mate was less than pleased.
Malvina slipped into the palace one day and overheard the Queen ranting to herself about Talia's arrival. She spoke then, "You know...I know a way you might be rid of the little sunspot."
"And why should I listen to you?"
"Because we both want her gone...or am I wrong?"
    They agreed.
The next day, the Beta went to the cook and threatened him to kill Talia's kids and cook them into supper for her husband. Otherwise, she'd make sure his family suffered. To her, he agreed. However, in secret, he took the kids back to his home and had his wife take care of them for the time being. He cooked something else instead.
That night, at dinner, the queen announced that Talia was not the nice girl King Cole thought she was. She claimed Talia had killed and cooked her own children for supper. Talia vehemently denied this but as she couldn't prove anything different, King Cole declared she would be burnt tomorrow morning at the stake.
That next morning, the cook and his family brought Talia's children and they explained what the queen had really done. Cole demanded the queen be set ablaze instead. With her dying breath, she told Cole that Malvina had tricked her.
Cole chased Malvina to the side of a high cliff. She turned into a dragon and he fought back. As Cole was close to death, he thrust his sword into Malvina. She fell off the cliff and died. That done, Cole died too.
The kingdom took Talia as their new queen then and that is where she remained until the day Maleficent came to bring her home to her sisters.
Rosabelle was the only one who felt the time passing, way longer than 100 years in her case. It didn't help when the Dark Curse hit and everyone was frozen in time. Fast forward many years later when the human world collided with the magical world, the Winchesters were on a routine hunt. Dean found Rosabelle by accident. Kissing her woke her up somehow but he didn't wait to see the results. He was unaware that Rosabelle was part of a world he wouldn't fully understand or appreciate until later.
Sometime before the Dark Curse, Belle and Mulan worked together to defeat the yaoguai. With the help of some fairy dust, he turned back into his human form, Philip, the prince she had been betrothed to years ago. Mulan went on many adventures with Philip during the time the Dark Curse was enacted and finally found Aurora, waking her up.
Meanwhile, Maleficent brought Prince Jack, a prince from another kingdom, to Briar Rose. He was the young grandson of the Evil Queen Ingrith, unbeknownst to Maleficent. It was written that a son of Ingrith would marry one of Stefan's daughters and Maleficent had sorely hoped this would be enough to save her. Unfortunately, it did not. Maleficent said goodbye, begging for Briar Rose's forgiveness. She kissed her and this kiss awoke her.
Despite their reunion, Maleficent had a lot to make up for and it didn't help that moments after her kiss awoke Briar Rose, Queen Ingrith burst through the doors and sent her men after Maleficent. Maleficent fled, planning to redeem herself.
She picked Primrose to take her place and begged that she pretend to be her. To this, Primrose agreed and declared war on humans, attacking Ingrith's kingdom shortly after. All this happened before the Dark Curse hit the land.
Maleficent ran until she passed out. When she awoke next, her wounds that she had gained from Ingrith's cruelty were healed and she was in a paradise. There, she met her real father, Phoenix.
The Dark Curse hit and, for 28 years, they lived in peace. Then the day came when the curse broke and all the realms were united somehow. The war spilled into the paradise. During the fight, Phoenix was killed. He passed his powers to Maleficent, telling her that the power of the phoenix was strong. Even should she die, she would be resurrected. This came in handy as she ended the war on humanity.
Peace returned to the world, if only for awhile.
It wouldn't be until many years later that Maleficent's true identity would be revealed and the sleeping beauty daughters would be reunited. Unfortunately, because Primrose had declared the war on humans before then, she was stripped of her fae power and wings. Hazel eventually agreed to renounce hers as well and went into hiding, later ending up in the Veil between worlds.
Sometime after most of the sleeping beauty daughters got their happy endings but before the time of the Dark Curse, the story that happened to the four sisters of Arendelle occurred. With Helga dead, Ingrid contained inside an urn, and Gerda taking the throne of Arendelle, Ariana and her fiance, Fredric, built their own kingdom. They were happy, even more so when Ariana became pregnant with a daughter. But the queen got sick and the kingdom looked for a miracle.
Meanwhile, Gothel and Jacob had been living happily in the Deadwood Forest, occasionally visiting Hazel before she disappeared. They fell in love and mated, Gothel becoming pregnant sometime later and giving birth to a girl with her curly black hair whom she named Cassandra.
They had built a cottage in the Deadwood Forest where they lived happily for a time. Gothel believed in tough love when it came to her daughter but Jacob was an almost perfect father. That small golden flower grew in the back of Gothel's garden, hidden yet a beacon of hope for her that one day her family would be on top again.
Sometime after Cassandra's fourth birthday was when Ariana became pregnant with Rapunzel. Eventually, the King learned from his wife of a sorcerer that lived in Misthaven aka The Enchanted Forest who could potentially help them. He gathered his most trusted men and went to visit Rumplestiltskin.
Rumplestiltskin made a deal with King Fredric. In return of the flower's location, Fredric would find the location where Primrose--whom they believed was Maleficent--was hiding as she had left the Moors when she lost her wings. Fredric learned that Primrose was hiding out in the Forbidden Mountain where her mother once hid. He gave Rumple the location and got the location for the flower.
Fredric sent in his men and stole it from Gothel's garden. When Gothel learned what they'd done, she grew angry. The king brought the flower to his cook who ground it up and turned it into a soup. The queen drank it and was immediately healed whereafter she gave birth to Rapunzel who possessed the powers of the flower.
Gothel snuck into the castle and attempted to steal a strand of hair from the princess. Unfortunately this caused the strand of hair to turn brown and lose its magical properties. With no other choice, Gothel kidnapped the young princess.
The king and queen woke up to the sound of their daughter crying and looked in on her in time to see Gothel escaping. They called on their guards who chased Gothel. They reached her cottage before her and broke in.
Gothel, with Rapunzel still in her arms, looked with tears in her eyes at Jacob and Cassandra watching her. Not seeing any other option, she severed the bridge to the cottage, keeping the guards from following her as she ran further into the Deadwood Forest. The guards arrested Jacob and took Cassandra.
Gothel found Hazel's old home and turned it into a tower, leaving Rapunzel up there while she raised her. Meanwhile, the captain of the guard took in Cassandra and raised her as his daughter. Jacob was visited in his cell by a dark power that called himself the Shadow King, Karayan. He offered a better life for Jacob Facilier if he served him. This he did and returned to his previous home in New Orleans to begin a scheme involving turning a prince into a frog to steal his money.
It wasn't until years later that these stories would end in a happy ending for the princesses and princes and death for the "villains". (Gothel would be killed when Flynn cut Rapunzel's hair, destroying the magic. Facilier would meet his end when he couldn't pay back his friends on the other side. Yet, both would come back to life later on. Gothel would be returned to life by Ingrid who would make a deal with her, one she said no to. Ingrid turned Gothel to ice but she was later revived again, this time by Jadis who was working for Ulrica. Facilier would be resurrected by the very one who helped him escape from prison.)
Later, it was revealed that the stories of old repeated themselves over and over again. Every version of Sleeping Beauty would be cursed by a witch who was screwed over only to awaken through true love's kiss. Every version of Snow White would be hunted by an evil queen who would later meet her fate. Every version of Cinderella would have to endure terrible torment and servitude over the years due to a wicked stepmother and stepsisters until she won over a prince.
Over and over again these stories and more repeated. So now we return to the present day...
