Notes:

Warnings: threats, warnings, and a little fighting

  A couple days after the birth of Sophia's pups, a couple weeks since the blizzard, all the Omegas were relaxing in the makeshift Omega Den. Rose had brought her nine pups and Kai was currently in his wolf form, cuddled up in her arms. Gwen's twin boys, Romulus and Remus, were napping in the corner with Nyx. Unfortunately, they had not yet shifted to wolf and probably wouldn't be able to until their name day.
    Morgana's little girl was playing with Jade and Anastasia. Sophia's children were also playing and one of them, the little golden one, was currently climbing over top Daegal's head. Ruby was sitting next to Rose, gently rubbing over her small baby bump. Being a month along, she was already starting to show.
    "I'm just so happy to have pups!" Sophia said, answering Morgana's earlier question. She turned towards Ruby and Owain, teasing them. "And someone's not far behind." She poked Owain's belly as she teased both him and Ruby.
    "I'm happy but a little nervous." Ruby confessed. "Percy's a big guy and I have a feeling these pups are gonna be huge!"
    "I'm really happy too!" Owain said. "Agravaine's so good to me and he's very excited to finally have pups!"
    Morgana agreed. "We honestly thought he'd never mate. You should feel very proud that you managed to win him over."
    "I think Rose should feel proud herself." Elisa said, a small smile on her face.
    Rose looked at the blond Omega, getting an uncomfortable vibe from her. "How so?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
    "Well, you won over the Alpha, didn't you?"
    Rose smiled. "True. I mean...I never thought I'd be happy mating but I am. Merlin is a great Alpha."
    "And yet, you are his only mate?" Elisa asked quietly.
    Rose got a sudden feeling about the girl and her question. "I wouldn't have it any other way." She finally said, deciding to be bold and stand her ground.
    "I see." Elisa said. With no more words, she pulled herself out the den and left.
    "What's her problem?" Rose asked, taken aback by the other Omega's reaction.
    "I think she has a crush on Merlin." Morgana replied. "She's been spending a lot of time talking to him while he does his daily chores and has been bringing him plenty of pastries."
    Before Rose could decide whether or not to be angry at the blond Omega, Adam and Merlin suddenly showed up. "Another blizzard is coming! You're all needed to your homes....immediately."
    With that, the Omegas grabbed their pups so they could hurriedly rush home.

    Castiel hadn't thought about his past in years, not since he joined the Winchesters. He'd never seen the point. After all, Sam and Dean had been the family he'd never had.
    His father had abandoned him when he was just a pup due to the fact that he was a runt. He'd been left out in the woods to die, only to be found by Mother Lupa herself.
    She'd raised him as if he were her own son and taught him how to take care of himself, to fight, to defend himself and others.
    Eventually, he'd set out for his own path.
    When he joined the Winchesters, he knew what he was getting himself into. He trusted them and thought of them as family. Apparently, they didn't feel the same...
    One night, some days after Dean had banished Cas from his sight, the aforementioned were found himself lost as a blizzard hit. He found shelter in a cave for the night and laid down to rest, unsure what his next move should be.
    That night, he had a dream.
    He awoke inside a cave, different from the one he'd fallen asleep in. This one was filled with crystals of all different colors that seemed to be letting off some sort of light. His gaze followed a trail of them until a familiar wolf stepped out of the shadows. When she shifted, he recognized her immediately.
    "Mother Lupa?"
    "Hello, Castiel. It's been awhile."
    "Where are we?"
    "The crystal caves, the birthplace of magic and of our kind. This is where I was blessed by the moon goddess, Luna, all those years ago."
    "Why are we here?" Cas asked, confusion clearly written all over his face.
    "Because this is a safe place." Lupa moved closer and placed a gentle hand on Cas' face. "My child, I must warn you that a war is coming. Soon all of were society will have to fight for our survival."
   "What can I do?"
   "For now, I need you to listen carefully. Firstly, do not worry about the Winchesters. They will play a crucial part in saving us all. They simply must learn that we are not their enemy. Sam is already starting to learn. For Dean, it will take a bit longer.
    "But even more important, I need you to go to a place called Whispering Pines and find an Alpha by the name of Adam Pierson. Join his pack and make amends with the Emrys pack. There, on the farm, will you find true happiness."
    Her long white gold hair flowed in a gentle breeze as she gazed at Castiel with sadness in her eyes.
   "What about the war?"
   "For now, go to Whispering Pines. That is where you are needed."
   She pointed towards an opening in the cave. Cas looked through it to find sunlight on the other side. Cautiously, he moved toward it--
   He woke up, back in the cave he slept in, alone. But his mission was now clear: he had to go to Whispering Pines.

    Regina didn't have the best relationship with her stepdaughter. Honestly, most days all she did was hunt her down and try to kill her. She hadn't been a true pack leader since the day she first started going after Snow White. It didn't matter to her though. She'd always assumed that once she killed that annoying flake of snow, she'd be accepted as the Alpha.
   But this....
   This was something she hadn't counted on.
   After hunting down Snow for years, she'd never thought that ferals would get to her first.
   So, here she was, for the first time in years, jumping to save Snow's life. Conjuring up a fireball, she began firing at the ferals that were now in the process of trying to kill Snow and her annoying mate, who was obviously a misnomer. Charming, my ass! She often thought. But that was besides the point.
   "Regina! What are you doing?!"
   "Nobody kills you but me!" Regina snarled. "Get the hell out of here, now!"
   Snow and the rest of the "charming gang" took off in the other direction. Regina continued fighting, fully expecting to die when, all of a sudden, a large dragon came flying out of nowhere! She immediately recognized her friend.
   Moments later, she fainted on the spot.

    Adam stopped Evelyn right as the Omegas were leaving for their homes. He grabbed her arm gently as she tried to follow the others.
    "I'm sorry." he whispered. "I had no idea about your condition. I promise I meant no harm."
    Evelyn looked up at him with big, sad eyes. "I forgive you."
    "Can we start over?"
    "I don't know."
    "Please." Adam begged. "I don't know why but I care for you. Let me take care of you."
    "I'm sorry, Adam. I just can't."
With tears in her eyes, she walked away.
                         * * * * *
    Regina suddenly jolted awake to find herself lying next to a warm fire. Maleficent sat off to the side, covered in a long black dress, her blond hair loose and messy. She held her staff in one hand, poking the fire with a stick in her other hand.
    "Oh! Good! You're awake!" Maleficent stood up. "How do you feel?"
    "Ugh! What happened?"
    "You fainted after saving that precious little snowflake."
    Regina sighed. "Well thanks for your help, old friend, but I have to go."
    "No." Maleficent said as she kept a hand on Regina. "From now on, you and me stick together."
    Regina sighed again. "Fine. Then what do we do?"
    "Well I have an idea but I'm afraid you're not gonna like it." Regina waited. "We're gonna have to join another pack." Regina was about to object when Maleficent interrupted. "There's a pack on a farm some miles from here. They take in those that need a home."
    "Marginally better than I was expecting. C'mon, let's go!"
    With that, the two female Alphas headed off.

    A couple weeks went by as the blizzard continued on.
    One evening, when the blizzard was still going on, Regina and Maleficent finally arrived to Whispering Pines. Somehow, they found the door to the farmhouse and knocked quickly. The door opened and Adam ushered them inside.
    A few days later, the blizzard finally ended.
   That's when Merlin came out to see the new arrivals...
