Notes:
    Rose finds out she's pregnant.

   "How much longer am I gonna be stuck up in here?"
   Surprisingly, the comment didn't come from Morgana but Rose.
   The three other Omegas looked up at the comment. Morgana was the one to answer. "My thoughts exactly, sis."
   Rose glanced around the room at everyone as she thought about everything that had happened since she arrived at the pack.
   First, the attack by those ferals, meeting Gwaine and Lancelot, then Arthur, then Gaius, then Nyx and the rest of the pack, her fight with Evelyn, meeting Morgana, making amends with her Alpha, and the two days that had passed since.
   She had been glad that her fight with Merlin hadn't lasted long. And then he'd finally told her he loved her! It made her feel so much better especially after how he treated her once the confession was out. He'd been so gentle during their love-making and had even let her take charge for once! It was her first time being on top and she did her best to pleasure them both. Apparently, he had no complaints because by the time his knot had swelled, he was shaking and holding her tightly against him as if afraid to let her go.
   He had been especially lovey dovey since that night, even more so than the first night they had mated which led her to believe what he'd said was true. They really were true mates but, more than that, they loved one another.
   That's why, as she gazed over at the faces of Morgana, Guinevere, and even Evelyn playing a game, and Nyx in the corner, bottle-feeding some of the older pups in the room, she found herself missing her Alpha.
   Rose had grown close to each of them in turn, mostly Morgana, although she was quite close to Gwen and Evelyn as well. After her apology to the latter, the dark-haired woman had shrugged it off and suggested they start over. Still, even with her heat finally over, she felt an overwhelming urge to be near her mate, especially now that their feelings had come back.
   "You know why we can't." Gwen reminded, snapping Rose out of her thoughts. "Until the Alpha Pack Leader lets us, we have to stay here. Besides, Rose, you can't leave anyway."
   "I'm not in heat anymore." Rose stated plainly.
   Her two Omega sisters by mating lifted their noses in the air. "The smell is gone." Morgana pointed out.
   That's when Nyx got up from her chair and moved closer. "Indeed and, not only is it over, she is now pregnant."
   "Is that true?" Came a sudden voice.
   All the Omegas and the one Gama in the room turned to see Merlin walk into the center of the room. He stopped in front of Rose and tilted his head, pausing, as if uncertain whether or not he should touch her.
   "Can my beautiful Omega Vixen already be pregnant?" He glanced sideways at Nyx. "This was only her first heat."
   "It's unusual and uncommon but not impossible." Nyx said. "You'll be able to better tell when Gaius gets a good look at her. I'm afraid my abilities are better suited after the presence of pups is known."
    Merlin looked at Rose in wonder. "Then I'd like to find out as soon as possible." He took her hand, kissing it gently. "Shall we go find out, my love?"
   Rose only nodded.

   It turned out, Nyx was right. Rose was pregnant, a fact that delighted Merlin. Rose, for her part, was actually really excited. As an Omega, she'd always had a longing for kids but she had been scared to mate, for fear of how her Alpha would treat her. But her Alpha was beautiful, kind, brave, and loved her. He had flaws--sure--but she didn't expect him to be perfect. She probably wouldn't have loved him if he was.
   After the appointment, Merlin said, "Now that we're sure, I want to have the ceremony as soon as possible." He held his mate close, looking down at her with a smile. "We're gonna have pups!" He said, excitedly. "I can't wait." He hugged her, being careful not to hold her too tightly. "It'll be time for the community lunch soon. We'll tell everyone then."
   Rose nodded. Merlin smiled, pure joy and pride taking over his senses. He kissed her forehead then took her hand and they made their way back to the Omega Den. Tristan and Isolde opened the doors and the pair walked inside. All the Omegas looked up as he entered.
   "All of you will be joining us for the communal lunch today. I have an important announcement to make and I'd like everyone to be there."
   "So was I correct?" Nyx asked.
   Merlin grinned. "You'll find out in an hour."
                            * * * * *
   An hour later, Merlin lead his mate out into the sunlight. Most of the pack was already outside. The children and pups were playing, some people were talking, and Odin was even flirting playfully with some of the Beta females.
   "Communal lunch is a time for us all to come together and be a pack. Breakfast is usually served in bed and dinner is for the immediate family. And most of the day revolves around everyone doing their own thing. Gwen teaches, Arthur and most of the other Alphas are fighters and hunters, Gaius is a healer, Nyx a nursemaid, and you, my dear, are mine. So that's why this is such an important time of day. Everyone finally gets a chance to rest, relax, and be near one another."
   "And, other than being yours, what is my job?"
   "Well it is your job to keep me in line and make sure I make good decisions and to negotiate peace treaties."
   "Oh." Rose said surprised. "I didn't know that."
   "That's what it means to be my Omega Vixen. It means you share my responsibilities in caring for this pack."
   "And when do I start?" Rose wondered aloud.
   "As soon as we have our official ceremony. Don't worry. You'll do great, love. I know you will."
   He held her close, affectionately running his fingers through her hair. After a few minutes, he took her over to his usual spot for lunch and sat her down next to him.
   A second later, a loud bell sounded and everyone scrambled into their places. Rose noticed that the entire pack had gathered in a tight-knit circle. Morgana and Agravaine had sat next to her, Arthur, Gwen, and Lancelot on Merlin's other side. The rest sat all around with Evelyn across from her, Gaius across from Merlin, and Nyx across from Arthur.
   Audrey came out of nowhere and Rose noticed that she was followed by various clones of herself. Ah! Her power must allow her to make clones of herself then!
   The clones sat a variety of foods down in the center of the circle: meats, fruits, vegetables, rice, eggs, dressings, salads, and lots of cakes and pies. She broke out a few different types of drinks as well before setting bowls, plates, and goblets in front of everyone.
   Rose waited to see what would happen. Merlin grabbed a jug and filled his cup as well as hers, then lifted his in the air.
   "My family!" His voice boomed as he spoke. "I have wonderous news to report! My darling Omega is no longer in heat and I have it on good authority from Gaius that, even though this was her first heat and it shouldn't have been possible, she is pregnant with my pups!" A chorus of awws echoed around the circle. "As such, I have declared that tonight I will mate my Omega in the official ceremony and I want all of you to attend!" The pack gave out various murmurs and shouts of agreement. "Very well! Then let's eat!"
