Chapyer 19: Emergancy!

~Timeskip: 25 weeks later~
Aphmau's POV
These past weeks have been awful.

Everyone knows about Garroth being here.

Cathy and Betty completely ditched Jenny at her house as soon as Garroth moved in.

Vylad is out of the hospital, and is definitely wary of Garroth, however makes attempts to at least talk with him.

Unlike Zane, who has decided that if he pretends Garroth isn't there, he'll go away.

Oh, and I'm fat.

40 weeks pregnant does that I guess.

I'm honestly scared. The due date is in two days.

Friday, July 3rd.

Today is July 1st.

Taiya and Kaiya are excited to be older sisters.

Aaron is scared to death.

Y'know why?

We're having a boy.

Yep, a boy.

We still don't know what to name him.

Aaron says that because he's the Ultima, and the baby is a boy, it's guaranteed to be an Ultima.

Which is why Melissa (without telling Aaron) talked to their parents.

She says that Aaron doesn't have a good relationship with his parents, but we will probably need their help in the beginning.

I'm scared too.

For a different reason.

Remember that stuff about me being connected to Irene?

I kinda sorta am descended from her and have her powers.

Aaron barely ever let's me out of the house.

Anyway, I'm watching anime with him right now.

"How are you feeling?" He asked me.

"Could be better." I muttered in reply. He laughed gently, and wrapped his arms around me, putting his hands on my stomach, and pressing gently. I gasp a little in pain, as the baby reacts to it.

"Shh... it's okay..." he cooed in ny ear quietly, as he himself shifts so I'm in his lap, and he's leaning with has back to the arm of the couch. I blush slightly, but smile. Aaron nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck, kissing it gently.

The pain suddenly gets worse. I assume it's just the baby kicking, but it doesn't stop.

It continues for a few minutes, until it gets worse. Horribly worse.

I think it was just a subconscious reaction to the pain, but I screamed.

Aaron's POV
When Aphmau screamed, I stood up and knelt by her.

"Hey, hey... shh..." I tried to calm her down, but she didn't, tears streaming down her face, complete with a pained expression.

"It hurts... Aaron it hurts... worse then normal..." she managed to say. I grab my phone and call the doctors.

"Hello this Phoenix Drop Hospital, how can I help you?" A ladies voice filtered through.

"My pregnant fiance is experiencing pain, and says it's worse then the usual pains she gets." I explain, trying to stay calm.

"How far along is she?" The lady asked.

"40 weeks. Her due date is in two days." I replied.

"Sounds like she's going into labour. Where are you?"

"House 602, Phoenix Drive."

"I'm sending an ambulance to your location."

The lady hung up. I turned to Aph, trying to stay calm.

"Okay, they said you might going into labour. An ambulance is on the way." I said. She nodded, and screams again.

I grabbed my phone and called Melissa.

"Hey Bro!" She said cheerfully.

"Mel, I need you to go get twins. Now." I said shakily.

"What? Why?" She asked.

"Aphmau is going into lab-" I was cut off by another scream.

"On it." Melissa hung up.

Okay, Sylvanna next. I heard she and Eric are visiting Katelyn.

"Hello~!" Sylvanna exclaimed cheerfully.

"Aphmau's going into labour!" Okay I definitely didn't sound calm at this point.

"WHAT?! ARE YOU AT THE HOSPITAL?!" She demanded.

"The ambulance is on the way!" I told her.

"I'M COMING!" She yelled. I glanced out the window.

An ambulance just stopped in front of our house. I opened the door, and Aphmau got rushed out.

Next door, Sylvanna, Eric, Katelyn, Travis, Zane, and Kawaii~chan, all tried to leave at the same time. They landed in a pile outside.

Sylvanna was the first up.

"I'M COMING MIJA!" She yelled, rushing over next to me outside.

"APHMAU!" Katelyn yelled, running over next.

"APHMAU~SENPAI!" Kawaii~chan dragged Zane over, who was dazed slightly.

"Is she okay?! Is she dieing?!" Eric panicked, running over next to Sylvanna.

"No you dimwit, she's going into labour!" Sylvanna bonked him on the head, "Did you not hear me yelling?!"

"Family of Aphmau Firewing?" A paramedic asked.

"I'm her fiance." I told him.

"I AM HER MOTHER SO YOU HAD BETTER LET ME IN THAT VEHICLE BEFORE I SLAP YOU WITH MY CHANCLA!" Sylvanna took her flip flop off and waved it around for good measure.

"Go ahead..." the paramedic sweated a little. I rushed in, and grabbed Aphmau's hand. Sylvanna followed. Katelyn joined us, and the door closed.

The ambulance started driving.

"Will she be okay?!" Katelyn asked worriedly.

"She's going to be fine." The paramedic said. She had gold-blond hair in twin ponytails. Her left eye was pink, and her right was purple.

Aphmau screamed again, and I had to lower my wolf ears because of their sensitivity. I chanced a look at her face.

Is it just me, or are her eyes glowing white?

"Why are her eyes white?" Katelyn asked.

So it's not just me.

"Uh..." Sylvanna became increasingly nervous suddenly.

"That is definitely not normal." The paramedic said. She grabbed a radio. Sylvanna snatched it.

"For Irene descendants, it is." She said, "Please, don't call on it. It will only make things worse." The paramedic hesitated, then sighed and put the radio back.

"This better not get me fired." She said.

The ambulance stopped, and Aphmau was brought out.

We we're told to wait in the living room for now.

Kaiya's POV
"This is boring..." Taiya grumbled. I kicked her leg gently, telling her to shush.

She's right though.

Math is boring.

The phone rang suddenly, and the teacher answered it grumpily.

Her name is Ms Yun, and she hates a lot of things and people.

Including werewolves.

"What?" She demanded.

"Oh? I see. I'll send them down then. Yes, bye." She hung up.

"Kaiya, Taiya, you need to go to the office." She said. We glanced at each other, and nodded. A couple people snickered, as we left.

Aunty Melissa was waiting for us. She looked a little panicked.

"Aunty Melissa? Is something wrong?" I asked.

"Aphmau's in the hospital," she said, "I'm pulling you out of school early."

"Oh no..." Taiya muttered.

"Let's go get your stuff." Melissa cane with us back to the class.

"Welcome back girls, take your seats and we'll continue with the lesson." Ms Yun said.

"Sorry Ms Yun," Taiya replied, "We're leaving early."

"You think so? I was not informed of this before hand." Ms Yun said.

"Neither were we. Things happen." Taiya retorted. I gave her a warning glance.

"You both know very well that I do not allow students to leave allow without early notice! Sit. Down." Ms Yun snapped. Taiya growled quietly, as we finished gathering our stuff. We went to the door, but Ms Yun blocked it.

"Sit down, or it's detention!" She ordered. Taiya growled again. I opened my mouth, but Melissa must've heard us. She opened the door.

"Ma'am, with all due respect, the twins mother is in the hospital, and going through labour as we speak." She said stiffly, "I was asked by their father, and my Alpha, to bring them to see her."

"And you are?" Ms Yun demanded, turning to see her.

"Melissa Lycan, Kaiya and Taiya's Aunt." Melissa smiled, but it wasn't exactly warm.

It was more of a, get the frick-frack out of the way before I slap the lights out of you, kind of smile.

Ms Yun paled considerably, and reluctantly stepped out of the way.

"Come on girls." Melissa dragged us away.

"Bye!" Taiya waved, smiling sweetly.

"Shush Taiya, your not helping by being cocky." I sighed, as we grabbed the rat of our things from our locker and followed Melissa. She signed us out, and  she drove us to the hospital.

Halfway there, her phone rang. I picked it up for her because she was driving.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Melissa?" Dad questioned.

"Oh, hi Dad. Aunty Melissa is driving." I said.

"Which twin is this?" Dad asked. I couldn't help but laugh.

Well, Taiya and I did sound the same.

"It's Kaiya." I told him.

"Okay. Where are you?" He asked.

"Halfway to the hospital." I responded.

"Thank Irene. We just got here, and are in the waiting room." He said.

"Is Mom okay?" I asked.

"Besides glowing white eyes? Yes." He sighed.

"Glowing white eyes?" I questioned.

"I think we learned something about that in history class." Taiya said. I glanced back at her.

"Apparently it's an Irene descendant thing. According to Sylvanna at least." He said.

"Alright... hey, did you come up with a name yet?" I asked, knowing they had been having trouble with that.

"No..." he sighed.

"How about Arnoux for a first name?" Melissa suggested.

"Aunty Melissa says Arnoux for a first name." I said.

"Arnoux?" He questioned.

"It means wolf." Melissa explained.

"She says it means wolf." I said.

"That sounds good... we can ask Aphmau once he's born. What about a middle name?" Dad asked.

Everyone was quiet.

"We're here." Melissa said, parking the car.

"We just arrived, see you in a minute." I told him.

"Alright." He replied. I hung up and gave Melissa her phone, before getting out with her and Taiya.

Taiya's POV
When we entered the waiting room, things could've been better.

Dad looked like he'd just watched someone get stabbed and saw their ghost kill the person who stabbed them.

Sylvanna looked like she was about to start hyperventilating. Eric had his arm around her.

Katelyn was sitting cross-legged in the seat, with her hands in her lap and her eyes closed. She was meditating.

A woman I didn't recognize, but looked kinda like Melissa and Aaron was on the other side of Sylvanna.

"Heya!" Melissa chirped, failing at her attempt to bring the mood up.

Aaron acknowledged her with a slight nod.

Sylvanna didn't acknowledge her at all.

Eric waved.

Katelyn growled.

"Hello Melissa..." the woman said.

Kaiya and I sat next to Dad, and Melissa sat next to the woman.

"How's Mom?" Kaiya asked.

"They haven't said..." he muttered.

As if on cue, a nurse called.

"Family of Aphmau Firewing?"

We all stood up, and came over.

"Okay..." the nurse shuffled some papers, and looked at us. "Ms Firewing is fine, however we cannot let you all in until after we have the child out, but she is insisting that she needs her fiance with her."

"I'm her fiance." Dad stepped forward.

"Well sir, I hope your okay with a lot of blood, painful screaming, and generally gross things, because Ms Firewing insists she cannot do this without you. The rest of you, I'm afraid you'll have you to wait." She replied, looking up at him. I could've sworn she looked familiar.

"Let's go." She led Dad away, and the rest of us went to sit down.

Honestly?

I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared.
