As soon as we stepped inside.

Alarms started blaring.

Soldiers started filing in.

They... didn't make it very far.

Lucinda must have a lot of cat potions.

"Melissa! Take the pack and keep the soldiers from blocking us out! Travis, Zane, Garroth, and Lucinda, we're going to find Aphmau and Katelyn!" I yell.

"On it!" Melissa exclaims, flipping someone off of her.

"Coming!" Travis yells, kicking someone in the gut and following me while I ran off.

We managed to get away from everyone. I closed my eyes, and listened carefully.

"This way." I say, running off.

They followed me, and we stopped outside of a large door.

"It's locked." Zane says, trying to open the door.

"I got this." Garroth cracks his knuckles.

Then he punches the door down.

It falls and lands with a thump.

Loud growls erupt from inside the room.

A pair of them to be exact.

"Hello?" I called quietly.

"Wait- Dad?!" Taiya exclaims.

"Aaron!" We rush inside the room, and see Katelyn and Taiya in one cell, and Aphmau and Kaiya in the other. Aphmau is right at the bars, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Aphmau, what happened?!" I stop in front of her, and grab her hand.

Then I realize it.

Arnoux and Ameri are nowhere to be found.

"Where are the boys?" I ask gently.

She starts sobbing.

"She took them... Aaron, she took them and I couldn't do anything!" She cries, her grip becoming tighter.

"What?" I ask, confused.

"Elizabeth, she took them." Kaiya explains sadly, looking down.

"THAT NO GOOD EXCUSE FOR A WOMAN!" Katelyn yells.

"Do you know..."

"No. She took them and left. And you know what the best part is? We're all being shipped away tomorrow. To a deserted lab as test subjects." Taiya says, absolutely dripping with sarcasm.

"What?! We have to get you out of here!" Zane panics, and starts trying to open the cell door. 

"What do you think Katelyn and I have been trying to do for the past 12 hours?!" Taiya exclaims, backing up, and then ramming into her cell door. Katelyn did the same.

Everyone started attempting to break down the doors at once. Lucinda and Zane on Aphmau's, Travis and Garroth on Katelyn's. I stood with Aphmau, trying to calm her down as she sobs.

Then I heard footsteps.

"I suppose this is a bad time."

We turned, and saw a man with white hair, just like Travis', and silver eyes. He was flanked by Zack and Elizabeth, who each held a baby boy. Our baby boys.

"D-dad?!" Travis exclaims.

"Not quite Travis." The man smiles sadistically.

"Michael..." I growl.

"We have a winner." He says, "Hello, Ultima."

"Can y'all shut up and fight already? I don't want to hear any classic villian-hero banter." Katelyn says, crossing her arms.

Despite the situation, Taiya and Kaiya laugh, and Aphmau manages to stop crying.

"Let go of them!" Zane yells.

"Oh, but then I would lose my test subjects!" Michael says.

"Give me my sons." I growl.

"No." He shrugs, "I won't."

I low growl came from me.

"I'm not going to fight you. You aren't worth my time. However..." Michael trailed off, as the floor in the two cells started raising.

"Aaron!" Aphmau squeals, letting go of my hand.

"Travis, do SOMETHING!" Katelyn yells.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no..." Taiya runs around, muttering.

"Meep!" Kaiya squeaks, stumbling.

"Katelyn!" Travis calls.

"Aphmau!" I try to reach up and grab her hand.

I just barely brushed the tips of her fingers, before she disappeared.

"ARAGH!"

I charge at Michael.

He dodges, and tries to punch me.

I grab his fist, and flip him.

He lands on his feet and aims a kick, that hits my gut.

"Aaron!" Garroth yells.

Lucinda shouts something, and an energy ball flies at Michael.

Travis runs at Elizabeth, and shoves her.

She stumbles back, and let's go of Ameri.

Travis catches Ameri, and runs to the back.

Garroth does the same to Zack.

Zack anticipates the move, and dodges, but doesn't catch Garroth's leg swiping under his feet. He let's go of Arnoux.

Garroth catches Arnoux, and joins travis at the back.

I aim a punch Michael, and he dodges.

He shoves me over, and tries stomp on me.

I roll away, and stand up.

"I WON'T LET YOU TAKE HER!"

I'm yelling.

"GIVE ME BACK THAT DAMN CHILD!"

Zack is yelling.

"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH KATELYN?!"

Travis is yelling.

"GIVE ME THAT BOY!"

Elizabeth is yelling.

"BACK OFF!"

Lucinda is yelling.

"..."

Zane is not yelling.

"I never told you who the scientists who will experiment on them did I?" Michael asks.

Zane looks at him, and his eyes widen.

"No."

"The Ishida family is a secret group of scientists. They work for the Guardian Forces, and will all be working on the girls. Except one. Nana Ishida ran away from her family during her eighth grade." Michael says, staring right at Zane.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!" Zane yells.

"Nothing, but I did give her family her location. It's up to her now if she wants to help." He replies, starting to walk away.

"Oh yeah, by the way, your friends are leaving in three minutes, if you want to see them off."

Then he leaves.

And the yelling begins again.

"COME ON, WE NEED TO GET BACK UP!" Garroth yells.

We all rush to the door, and run back to the entrance, where the pack is waiting.

"Hey! Where-"

"ABOUT TO BE SHIPPED AWAY TO A LAB RUN BY KAWAII~CHAN'S FAMILY!!" Zane yells.

Everyone goes up.

I'd love to say we made it, and saved everyone.

I really, really, would.

But we don't.

We make it just in time to see the plane take off.

We were too late.

I was too late.

Now I'll never see her again.
