Aaron's POV
"Uh... what the?..." I sit up in bed. Aphmau isn't here. My memory is fuzzy, and I have a headache.

I don't smell anything, meaning nobodies home.

Where's Aphmau?

I get out of bed and look around. The lights are off, but the sunlight filters through the window. Something on her bedside table catches my eye.

It's a note.

Dear Aaron Lycan,

We have your fiancé, her best friend, and your kids.
Have fun with the Guardian Forces!

Zack Firewing, Elizabeth Bluefire, and Michael.

did

not.

I let out an angry roar, tearing the note in half.

The window shatters, and the pack jumps in.

"What happened?!" Melissa exclaims.

"What's wrong?!" Blaze asks.

I give them the two halves of the note.

Melissa puts then together.

"OH NO THEY DIDN'T!" She yells, showing it to them.

A loud banging noise sounds.

"That was the door." Ein says.

Everyone is quiet.

Melissa's phone rings.

My phone rings.

"It's dad/mom." We say in unison.

We answer.

"Hello?"

"Aaron. Where are you?" Dad asks, sounding panicked.

"In my house. Why?" I ask. Melissa is relaying the same information to Mom.

"Get out of there. Now. No time to explain, if the GF catch you then-"

The phone beeps.

Melissa's too.

No signal.

"GUARDIAN FORCES! OPEN THE DOOR!" Yelling comes from the other side of the bedroom door.

"Oh crud..." Diana mutters.

"What do we do?" Daniel asks.

I look out the window.

Soldiers are all over the ground.

The roof is empty.

"Who's up for a rooftop run?"

Aphmau's POV
The room is a cell. Grey walls, no windows, and bars at the front. Next to me, Kaiya is knocked out and holding Ameri close. Across from us, I can see Katelyn, Taiya, and Arnoux, all knocked out.

As if on cue, Ameri and Arnoux start wailing in sync.

Kaiya and Taiya sit up immediately, and hold the two babies close trying to shush them. Katelyn jerks awake, staring around wildly.

"Shh! Shh..." Kaiya gently tries to calm down Ameri, while Taiya sits there not knowing what to do.

"Here, give him to me." I say, reaching through the bars. The boys were small enough to fit through, and Taiya reaches over, giving Arnoux to me.

He immediately calms down, while Kaiya gives me Ameri, who also calms down.

"Where are we?" Katelyn asks, looking around.

"I dunno... everything is kind of fuzzy..." Kaiya sighs, rubbing her head.

"I know... Travis was intoxicated last night, and he passed right out on the couch. So I went to bed without him." Katelyn groans, "Ugh... stupid headache..."

"I remember..." Taiya blinks a couple times, then gasps. "People! Lucinda was running her shop with Kim, while Kaiya and I slept with the twins! People broke in, and woke us all up. It was... bloody." She says.

"I remember now." Kaiya nods, "Lucinda and Kim had come running up the stairs as soon as they heard the commotion. I don't think they were expecting a fight, but they won anyway. What about you Mom?" She looks at me. I rub my head a little, and it comes back to me.

"Aaron was slightly intoxicated too, though not as bad as Travis and the others... we went to bed, and I woke up here." I explain.

Kaiya and Taiya both tense up. I do too.

We can smell someone.

"Pretend to be unconscious still..." Kaiya hisses at us.

Everyone flops over, with me holding the babies still. Someone walks in.

"How did the baby get over there? It was in the other cell before." Zack. I recognize Zack's voice and scent.

"They must've woken up while we were out." Elizabeth, definitely.

"Well then let's wake them up." Zack says. I hear the cell door open, and someone tries to take the twin boys away from me.

I immediately sit up, and scoot away, growling.

The others sit up too.

"Back. Off." I growl.

"Knew it. Mother's Instinct is something I've learned from Sylvanna." Zack grins.

"Not me?" Elizabeth questions innocently.

"Your not a mom." Katelyn crosses her arms.

"Correction. I'm your mom." Elizabeth replies.

"Not anymore b*bork*." Katelyn retorts.

"Katelyn!" I exclaim.

"Sorry..." she sighs.

"It doesn't matter. Your not leaving anytime soon." Elizabeth says.

"Says who?" Taiya snaps.

"Well, us." Zack says, "As much I don't like the idea of putting my daughter and grandkids in a deserted laboratory, you all have caused enough trouble."

"I don't consider you my father." I glare at him.

"Well, that's fine. You won't be seeing me any time soon. In fact, you won't be seeing anyone any time soon. You are all being shipped to a deserted laboratory as test subjects." He says.

"WHAT?!" We all yell, and the babies start crying again.

"Well, except the babies. They get to stay here. Elizabeth and I will raise them, until they are old enough to have their powers extracted. Then they die." Zack corrects himself.

"Why us?" Katelyn asks. My eyes start to well up with tears.

"Because you are all unique. Katelyn, dear, you were given a Forever Potion of Strength when you were little. Your going to be studied for what the potion did exactly. Aphmau, is not only a descendant of Irene with her powers, but is not a born werewolf. She's being studied for the change in genetics Aaron caused, as well as her powers. Taiya and Kaiya, your being studied to learn more about werewolves." Elizabeth explains.

"THAT DOESN'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING!" I yell, as the tears start falling. "YOU CAN'T JUST... JUST SEND US AWAY! YOU CAN'T! IT'S INHUMANE, IT'S HORRIBLE! I-IT'S MONSTROUS!"

I fall to my knees crying. Ameri and Arnoux start cooing, and I stare at them.

My beautiful baby boys. 

"Your leaving tomorrow. In the meantime, get comfortable." Zack states, his voice monotone.

"I'll be taking these two." Elizabeth takes the boys from me.

"No!" I tighten my grip, but in my current state, she's stronger. The twin boys are ripped from my hands, and she walks away as I blink back tears.

Then I snap all over again.

I fall to my knees, sobbing.

This is too much.

Why?

Why us?

Irene, why me?

I'm going to be a test subject.

I'll never see Aaron again.

My baby boys are going to die.

They'll never see their mother again.

Or their father.

Or their grandmother, uncles, and aunts.

They won't make friends.

They'll grow up with them as parents.

Then they'll die.

Kaiya sits down next to me, and puts her arms around me. I hear Katelyn sniffle, and then start yelling.

She's never been good with emotions.

Taiya whimpers.

Kaiya hugs me.

And I cry myself to sleep.
